Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great as a home copier, used mostly for enlarging small print Purchased for use as home copying machine for enlarging small print. It set up easily. Enlargement steps are in one percent per step so it is easy for me to get the right size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slow Scanner Speed with Faint Printer Output I had my technical person set-up this all-in-one machine a while back and have been displeased with its performance ever since. I called the Canon Technical Assistance and spoke with gentleman who was very kind but resulted in little improvement. The only positive thing that I can say is that this product was low-priced. However, the print-outs are very faint even after the tech person attempted to improve matters. Furthermore, regarding the scanner, no scanner speed is indicated in the specs. However, when scanning a single page, I press the button to do so and can go use the bathroom with hopes all is complete by the time I return. I had to pay my tech person a considerable sum just to set-up the unit, and I am considering buying a replacement unit and paying her again to set-up the new unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works much better than my Brother laser! I just purchased this printer and contacted technical support to help me set it up since I'm not real techno savvy. True, it's a long wait but the technician (Richard was great and walked me thru the whole set up. The printer is wireless and the connection with my MAC disconnected almost as soon as I hung up with Richard. Fortunately, (after another long wait), I was connected and got Richard again. He said sometimes my wifi connection may drop off and the printer needs to be reconnected...not a printer problem...more a wifi problem. Gave me the how-to steps to reconnect and I've been happy ever since. A good buy for the $.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great All-In-One for Home or Small Business My previous printers had been from another company, but with the advent of the intrusive requirements of this company's PLUS program (they know who they are, I could not tolerate a product of theirs I had just bought so I returned it in favor of this, my first Canon printer. If you read and follow the instructions in the Getting Started guide, you will have success with this printer. Someone spent a lot of time creating the instructions and manuals for your benefit, so I would recommend reading them. Switching between single- and double-sided printing was easy using Preferences in the printer's Properties in Windows. Also, I tested the printer in all three connection types (USB, Wired Ethernet, Wireless Ethernet) and all three connection types worked as expected. Entering the wireless network key through the control panel is much like texting on a flip phone, but it is workable. And the installation CD does not install bloat or software with nuisance notifications like some other printers; just the minimum needed, and you have control over what gets installed. That is PERFECT for someone like me who likes to keep their system clean. I am very happy with this choice and would recommended to any home user or small business needing an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toner cartridge doesn't last long! The toner cartridge doesn't last long at all! These cartridges are supposed to last a long long time. And, to add insult to injury, I can't find even on the Canon website where to buy the correct toner cartridge. I need to know the model number on the printer and I don't know where that is on the white label on the back of our printer. Nowhere does it say 'model no.' and I am presuming the letters/numbers under the bar code are the model number? If that is the case, based on that information, then why does none of it match up with Canon toner cartridges sold online? I need a darn toner cartridge, Canon, get an easy to find solution for those of us who need this so our darn printer can print!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWFUL waste of money! My employer bought this printer/scanner/copier because it was black and white. The color printer I requested cost less but they said the cartridges would be too expensive. Since I only print in black and white I really didn't care. What the description fails to tell you is it will not scan to your computer wirelessly. The scanner was the whole reason I needed one!!! Now to make matters worse it will not even print. It's been just over 3 months so it can't even be returned now! Worse all in one I've ever had to work with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DOUBLE SIDED PRINTING STOPPED WORKING AFTER 3 WEEKS! Tried to get online support and you cannot get through, probably bombarded with problem calls. One sided printing is fine but every time I try double sided printing it says there is a paper jam. There is no paper jam! They do not stand behind their product, never again will I buy a canon anything!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid choice at a low price point I purchased this product recently and was a little nervous due to some of the reviews and the low price point. How can they manufacture a printer this inexpensively and it do everything it is designed to...and what about those complaints about no scan feature, driver installation problems etc? So first off, the problem with the scanner not scanning is a problem I had as well and it related to the drivers. The "plug and play" driver is not the full function driver so you do have to come back to the website and install 2 drivers and that doesn't go very smoothly. In fact this is the biggest problem I have had to date with the printer. Finally, I had to call tech support (an hour wait. When I finally got a tech on the line they knew exactly what to do, walked me through it in 15 - 20 minutes I had both drivers installed and the printer functions as advertised. If you are tech savvy the driver install probably won't be a big issue for me, but if you are not then prepare to call tech support. The hour hold time sucked. It's a trade off. A more expensive printer might have better plug and play driver installation. For me it was worth the money saved. Now...how does it work since I have all the drivers I need? It works just fine. So far I have scanned plenty of docs and it works fine. The scanner lid is very lightweight and not spring loaded or anything so it's not as robust as a more expensive printer. It does allow for the scanning from books or thicker documents as the scanner lid has a built in flange for that. I've printed over 50 envelopes and you do have to feed them one at a time and it sounds horrible as they are winding through the printer...but it prints fine. I've also printed over 100 pages and no problems. The paper tray is kind of recessed into the bottom of the printer. It doesn't pull out, you slide the paper in and I think it only holds up to 250 sheets, not a whole ream. Again, several trade offs there for an inexpensive printer. The output is right in the front of the unit about half way up. There's just a flip up piece of plastic to keep the papers from spewing all over the floor...but it works. The printer cartridge is not a whole lot different than other Canon printer cartridges I have used in the past. It might be a little smaller, but you would kind of expect that. I've used more expensive Canon copy and print products in the past that I have purchased used and been pleased with them. This is the first new Canon I've purchased and was pretty worried about what I might be getting at this price point. The case, scanner lid, paper and output tray are not as robust as more expensive units, but they are all functional. All in all at this price point I just don't know how you can beat it. So far if it weren't for the problem with the drivers then I'd give the unit a 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from terrible support thru canon I purchased this printer thru Best Buy and have contract thankfully with them with having this printer 8 weeks having error codes was told that this printer is no longer supported by them only thru the website there is no support on the website to work with what a piece of junk avoid this printer I have used printers at home and work different brands and types so am not a novice user. If this is how canon supports their product lines will avoid purchasing anything from them in the future as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work out of the box This printer required a firmware update to get out of a frozen and panel locked DOWNLOAD MODE, which froze and required a restart, which failed to update the firmware, which finally woke the printer enough to apply wireless settings, which finally allowed the firmware to be updated through the printer. I have set up hundreds of printers on many OSes. This one, brand new and out of the box, was 2nd worst to set up. I don't think most people would have the patience or the wherewithal to get past the 2 hour process of setting it up. Now that it's working, it seems to print, though I've only run a couple sheets. Scan and copy seem to work too. I remain very cautiously optimistic about its long term use. Canon, I own your cameras and scanners, and they work great. This printer setup is unacceptable, and needs work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer beware, starter cartridge printed 1 page Included starter cartridge had 10% toner left after printing just 1 page, despite advertised 1,700 page capacity. Starter cartridges are not covered under warranty and I was told by Canon customer service I would need to buy a new cartridge to replace the defective starter cartridge. This would be an additional expense and not reimbursed. I've had many Canon printers and cameras over the years with no issues. Quite disappointed this time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon D570 Great product, so much faster and smother then the inkjet one we had before. Perfect for home office and if you don’t need color printing. The only problem is my HP laptop wouldn’t install the software which I downloaded from Canon official website. I had to have someone to install it manually through team viewer. Took a long time to sort it all out. It does print from any devise in our home through wi fi, but for scanning you need the software.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon ImageclassD570 Set up went well. Very quick printing, even from Eco mode. Quality on labels was a little “dusty”. That is the only reason for the 4 star. Loving it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Features don't work Brought this printer and immediately had problems connecting to my work laptop. Included manual was very brief and constatly refers you to a larger manual that you need to download and print out. Can't scan eventhough it should be a 1-button feature. The direct bluetooth connection, without need for a LAN, only works for mobile devices and refers you to the larger manual that you have to download. Thought this would be very similar to setting up an inkjet all-in-one printer, but it's not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't This printer is not adequate for the needs of my small business. 1. Inconsistent ability to detect wifi. Some days it connects. Others days it doesn't. 2. Slow. Slow. Slow. 3. Super clunky and frustrating interface for entering network key. 4. Troubleshooting is inadequate. 5. After two months, it won't connect to wifi at all 6. Did not come with a cable for hard-wiring. Terrible product.
