Terrible
Terrible. It disconnects randomly throughout the day, will not reconnect, and shows as offline. Won't print until you update paper type, even though you didn't add paper, change paper, or make system changes. Have to download drivers constantly. When it works, it's great. But that's about 5% of the time.

Do not buy unless you are an IT genius.
It is not user friendly. I’ve had this over a month and still cannot use it. No one at dell will help me to get it set up on Wi-Fi.

Difficult setup. Getting the printer to work with the app for printing from your phone is a pain. In addition, the scan function doesn’t seem to work as it should either.

It 'forgets' its connected
The printer has stopped working altogether because it has 'forgotten' it is connected. I used it to run a small law practice. I have had stop work so many times to address issues with it. I now need to stop my business altogether to find my receipt of when I purchased it so I can address the problem. Very sorry I purchased this printer. I may have to end up throwing it away, and just getting a new printer.

If you have a BUNCH OF TIME TO WASTE, BUY THIS
If you are looking for a reliable printer/scanner, DO NOT BUY THIS. Every time I need to scan something, I have to redownload the driver (process takes about 10 minutes). If you have all the time in the world and enjoy wasting time on diagnosing and fixing a printer that you paid money for, then buy this junky thing.

Don't Waste Your Money
This is hands down the worst piece of garbage I have ever purchased. Nothing works right, nothing runs the way its supposed to, spent hours with Canon IT trying to resolve all of the issues we've had with this abomination, and I still can't get it to do what I need it to do. Will barely print because it won't stay connected. Feeder to scanner won't engage no matter how we try to fix it, so I have to scan pages individually. I am going to replace this unit ASAP and never look at Canon again.

Worked then stopped connecting to printer through any means
I had to buy a cable to connect this to the printer. It worked four years, but used very infrequently at my dad's. Now it keeps 'forgetting' its connected. I bought new cable, unistalled and reinstalled drivers. Sometimes the latter works, until the printer is shut down. A real miserable piece of plastic, this is.

Cannon printer
Its an ok printer once you can get it installed. We never could get installed on windows 11 so are using it on a older computer. We tried to call Cannon and it is impossible to get to a real person, so we gave up! Would I buy it again NO!

I bought this in October 2021. The feeder does not feed correctly so copies come out crooked. It cuts off the edges of the paper so if you are copying something that is close to the edge, it will be cut off. The quality of the copies is not great.

Multiple Issues & it doesn't print.
Even brand new, this printer is garbage...
1. I am using the original cannon 137 cartridge, but there is an error stating that it is a non-cannon cartridge.
2. It doesn't print. I downloaded the driver, everything looks good, but when I hit print, nothing happens.

A network printer, without WiFi. Beware!
Described as a network printer. But doesn't have WiFi. To most people when you say network, you would think it would work with a WiFi network. Not so here.

Great so far
Fast delivery, working great. I had no problem setting it up despite some reviews I read before purchasing. From opening box to using printer took about 10 min, including software install. I couldn't find the USB cable but I may have misplaced it when opening. I had another one that was compatible so no issue. Printer came with toner. Didn't know so bought another one at time of purchase. Will use when this one runs out.

I purchased this printer in 2021. In 2023 it would not scan unless I unplugged it and waited for 30 seconds everytime. I had to download the drivers every other day and now it will not connect to my lap top. I was o.k. that is was not a WIFI printer. I have has Canon products in the past and had a good experience, but it has only been two years and I have to potentially purchase another copier. That is not good

Horrible printer
This printer is the worst. I have to unplug and plug it in just to get it to print and that doesn't work. I'm sending mine back in. Too much just to get a print job completed.

Non Wifi Printer but can easily print over Wifi from computer or phone
I found this very easy to setup as a network printer. I tried to set it up by USB on an ASUS router printer port, but that had some issues (with ASUS. I then used ethernet and found that all my home Windows 10 computers saw it immediately and installed the drivers. I also installed the network scan utility and that works from network computers. I also found I can easily print from an Android phone since I had the Canon printer app on my phone already and it found the printer quickly. This printer does not have wifi, but plugging it into a wifi router via ethernet gives it almost the same capability. Not hard or confusing to setup at all. Printing is fast, startup from sleep to printed page is only a few seconds. It scans in color if you want, but only prints black and white. Print quality is very good. 600DPI is fine for text and normal graphics. Very happy with this printer.

High quality, but lots of unnecessary steps
I love the printer for lots of reasons, but there are also some things I would change. The printer quality is high, but adjusting the darkness/lightness of the prints is more complicated and less effective than it should be. Also, I use the printer a lot for copying one or two pages, and it would be so much easier if I could just set the page I want to copy and hit "copy." Instead, I have to tell it I don't need to check the paper size, then I hit copy, and then I still have to hit "start." Why three times the work? All that said, I liked it enough that I bought a second one for the office. I have always loved Canon quality, it never jams, it's very quiet, and folds up nicely to keep it clean overnight or on the weekends.

Great printer for the money!
I was looking for a home office and found this. It does everything I need and was on sale. Paid far less for a copy/scan/print/fax laser jet than I was anticipating. As a novice to such integrated technology it was a bit difficult to figure out at first (especially since I didn't read the directions. Overall the machine performs well and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Excellent printer
I bought this to replace a worn-out printer (also Canon. Here is important installation information (that a help desk person didn't know!): I initially installed on one of our computers. Then I decided to install it directly onto our network via the router. I made the mistake of not un-installing it from the computers on the network first, and the drivers would not install properly on my computer. The help desk person figured my computer had a problem. Nope. I then uninstalled all traces of it from the computers and tried re-installing the drivers and programs, and it worked like a charm. I SHOULD have done that at first, remembering that the instructions said "install the software before plugging the printer in." Everyone here is now happy, and of course the printer is up to Canon's usual high standards.

Terrible instructions
Canon should inform the customer that there is no ethernet cable in their instructions / or just supply it and add it into the price. Very frustrating. The instructions need better explanation.

Scanner is not good. Save yourself some irritation.
Bought is 9 months ago because we needed a desktop scanner. I have spent way too much time uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and software, re-configuring things, etc. When the scanner is functioning from the onboard screen, it works great but the scan quality is not that great. Unfortunately, that has been about 3-4 total out of all of this time. All the other MFP's we have used work way better. This is an extra printer now.
