Rated 5 out of 5 byBucky from Great product. Easy installationI purchased this 2 TB SSD to replace a 1 TB hard drive in a four year old Lenovo laptop. Cloning the existing drive and then swapping drives was easy. Just follow the directions. One recommendation. Shut down the computer and restart before cloning. The first attempt failed due to insufficient memory. After restarting it cloned with no problem.

After some research I stumbled across this Crucial MX500 2TB Drive, and noted the price. Was pretty much an instant buy. You will need the included spacer for the PS4, but the dimensions are perfect and everything lined up as expected.After Downloading my games, I would have to say I noticed a decent improvement in loading Digitally Stored games, maybe saves 5-15 seconds at launch (depending on the game), plus in-game loading is close to nonexistent. It has "some" effect on games played from the disc, especially when large files need to be installed on the machine to play off the disc. Note to those buying this for PS4... make sure you download the current software install from Sony onto a USB Flash Drive as you will need it once you boot this machine from a blank Hard Drive. The whole process from starting installation to seeing my home screen took all of 35 Minutes.

Once it was completed it worked like a charm, startup was half the normal time, desktop populated almost instantly. Was so impressed I bought a 2nd one two weeks ago to load my music samples. Would and will purchase again, the second purchase was $25 less than the first one-loved that. Would highly recommend this SSD. Now just have to setup a backup plan for my system. Word to the wise - - always backup your data files that you create in case something happens to your source.

With the New MX 500 that we've just purchased are faster, better endurance, comes with a five year warranty and they are also priced right which makes these SSD's hard to pass up compared to the competition. PC boots up quickly and loving the speed too. There's no better option out there but what Crucial has to offer. Thank you for making a very competitive SSD, the MX500 hits the mark. Job well done and keep up the good work.
