I originally purchased some 3rd party memory for my XPS 8930 that almost worked, but ended up causing lots of other issues, probably because it wasn't an identical match for my original memory. Pulled it and replaced it with this--now no issues. Everything works perfectly.

I added 2 8GB DDR4 to my computer to give me 32GB memory. It's memory. It works and has been working since I installed it. Good price. I ordered 2 at the same time and Dell treated it like two different orders.. for some reason. I received separate orders from Dell also.. 2 packages! I thought that was rather redundant, when I ordered them at the same time same shopping cart same day same ... perhaps they made up the sale price by charging me twice for shipping.

Doubling the memory in my PC made all the difference! Way faster now and has eliminated the frustration of excessive slowness and crashing apps. My PC's original 8GB of memory might be enough for the average user, but if you're using Photoshop or doing any video editing, it's nowhere near enough.

Installation of the card was very easy if you follow the directions and the card was recognized immediately by the software, but to be honest, I have yet to notice any performance difference. That being said, it is Windows 10 after all, plus I’ll test it better once my online school courses start again in September.

I added this ram to my existing 16gb. Although it does work fine. It only gets 2333mhz mixed with other dell 2666mhz ram. In this case I would recommend recommend to replace all ram.

Be sure to check the compatibility list before buying to ensure your PC is compatible. I purchased two of these to upgrade my Alienware Aurora R6 that I bought in 2017 from 16GB RAM to 32GB RAM. I have no experience opening up a computer and installing new hardware but read the instructions that come with the product and watch a few YouTube videos and it is a piece of cake. Make sure you install the latest updates on your PC before installing the additional RAM. Don't be intimidated by the screen that pops up when you reboot your PC after installation, it is just showing your new installed amount of RAM. Let it do its thing then click next and that's all there is to it pretty much. As I mentioned, I had never opened up a PC for any type of modifications before and I was able to figure this out and complete the install in 5 minutes or less, after maybe 30 minutes of research online. Computer feels supercharged - huge upgrade at extremely low cost. Highly recommend, especially if you have an Alienware Aurora R6!

This ram is not very compatible with the Dell factory installed setup. Instead of the advertised 2666 MHz, after adding this ram upgrade, I am only getting 2395 MHz performance. Although I have more capacity, it came with a sacrifice to speed.

More memory is great but I haven't noticed any difference in going from 16GB RAM to 32GB so far. The Dell memory that your salesman told me I had to match with only more Dell costs about double others I have seen. That makes me very unhappy you are overcharging for your memory.

Upgraded memory with ease
The Dell website identified the memory sticks that were compatible, provided a feature for me to easily order AND shipped immediately. Upon receiving the memory and installing it, the memory was recognized on the first bootup. All around good experience.

The computer has been a problem since the day I received it. Nothing but problems. A real lemon. Dell service has been equally as bad. this is my 5th Dell and last. I will trash this. and will complain to all. unless I get someone who will fix this in one phone call. I have had enough.

What is supposed to fit, doesn't!
I ordered a 8GB memory module for my Inspiron 3470. I was sent the correct module per Dell's website/Sales Rep, but it doesn't fit my PC. It's much to long for the memory module slot. I am waiting for the Sales Reps to get back to me to determine what module may actually work with my PC.

No improvement in performance
I was thinking that if the memory capacity was increased, I would see some improvement in the performance of this machine. Unfortunately, even doubling the memory did nothing to help. I am very disappointed with the performance of this machine and now I need to consider if I need to replace it. This Dell computer is the absolute slowest computer I have ever owned.

The memory card is fine and, once one clears a path to the slot, is easy to install. Access to the slots could be easier. Computer improved response is quite noticeable.

I needed to upgrade my memory for online gaming. Fortunately, my Dell system was capable of accepting up to 64GB of memory so I ordered this 8GB stick. Now my system works great! No longer slow to open websites and my gaming FPS stays consistently around 60.

I bought 8GB RAM almost 1 year ago which means it is 10GB RAM altogether. Recently, I added another 8GB RAM. It is much better to have 16GB RAM total. It is faster than before.

This was very easy to install and helped my computer. I had gotten it with the 8 GB memory as that worked on my other computer I got last august in my laptop. It was always pegged at 90% memory usage and lagged. Now, it works more efficiently and performance is more stable. It was easy to find the one I needed in my computer and installed quickly and easily.
