So much improved
We got the 1D barcode scanners initially, and got nothing but bad feedback from our patrons -- they were hard to get the barcodes positioned just right for the scanners to read. We replaced those with this model, and although these don't have an adjustable tilt angle, the speed of recognition, locking on, acquiring, and interpreting the barcode is stupendously fast. Though more expensive, if you've got the option for going 1D or 2D and don't care about the tilt angle, you should definitely choose these 2D scanners.
