Great performance; short battery life
The performance of the computer is amazing and as advertised and commented by various review platforms. The gaming experience is great and the pen experience is great as well. The only draw back is the battery life. I tried several undervolting and lower energy consumption settings and the battery will only last for 1.5h if the laptop screen is turned on, even without significant demanding activities.

This a really reliable and beautiful laptop; however, the battery life leaves a little to be desired. That being said it has an amazing 4k display.

Great Laptop for Data Professionals
I bought this convertible laptop as a desktop replacement; it easily achieves this requirement as well as supporting multiple external monitors natively or via an HP Dock. The ability to select performance versus battery charge duration works reasonably well, but the GPU, if utilized, will reduce the time between battery charges as expected which has not been an issue. This computer performs well and supports GNU/Linux, although you will have to replace the noveau driver with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti driver to take advantage of the GPU.
My only criticism of the HP Spectre X360 15-inch Convertible Laptop is the non-upgradable memory (RAM). This computer should be available in 16GB and 32GB, dropping the 8GB option.

It’s a volcano packaged as a convertible laptop
The laptop fan constantly buzzes irrespective of the workload on your laptop that gives you headache. The surface temperature reached in excess of 51degree Celsius often. Sent the laptop for repair, hp replaced the cooling system, mother board and tires but the problem persisted. Eventually, they agreed to take back the laptop. Not gonna buy a hp product again

Computer is great but the support pages need work
The computer is fast and the display is fantastic. I like the backlit keyboard quite a bit because the lighting in my apartment isn't always the greatest.
One thing I found is that when you type in a question on the HP support app, it will bring you to a web page that again requires a search question. Not very well done support there. Also the virtual assistant really needs work many simple questions do not generate a usable response. For example asking "create recovery disk" will get you a response like " I don't understand".
I've always been a fan of HP hardware and have bought many of their computers ad printers. Their support pages and documentation have gone downhill and need a lot of attention to make them useful. Google is a better resource

I have owned one of these for about a year now. This computer works very well and the touch screen is cool if you use it like its a tablet. I would give it 5 stars if the compueter would be more resistant to very minor dents/marks/scratches. It has held up well now that i make sure to carry it with a case everywhere i take it.

Good Deal for a Powerful, Beautiful Machine
I bought this laptop very soon after it was released last year. As a university professor forced to teach subjects like film studies online during the pandemic, I knew I was going to need a more capable machine than my 13-inch, 2017 Spectre. But that last computer was the best I'd ever owned, so I wanted to stick with HP and the Spectre line. Generally, this newer, bigger laptop has been excellent, and I've had very good "premium support" through the add-on three-year service plan (which is not that expensive, when you consider what you get). As others have noted, the 4k screen is amazing, although it changes brightness by itself, and no tweaks to settings or updates to drivers seem to have fixed that issue. There are a few other glitchy behaviours, too, like things not copying to the clipboard when ctrl-C is pressed, and it does crash more frequently than my last Spectre, although perhaps because I'm pushing it harder. A 32GB-RAM model would be welcome and might help, I suppose (and I'm guessing that some BIOS and driver updates might be in the works, too). All in all, though, the build quality is excellent, from the keyboard to the webcam to the speakers. It seems like a much better deal than roughly equivalent models like Dell's XPS.

Beautiful laptop - not for me.
It is a beautiful machine, but not really my bag. The build quality and screen were fantastic. I wasn't a huge fan of the full keyboard, and would have preferred to lose the numpad and have more space for the rest of the keys. I also found the 2 in 1 aspect a bit strange for laptop of that size. It wasn't comfortable to use the laptop in tablet mode because of the keys pressing against my hand while holding it.

Screen issues/warranty issues
I purchased this for my daughter who’s going to university. After only a couple of months of her using the laptop the bottom of her screen started looking washed out and white. We are currently fighting with HP to have this situation rectified. If it’s handled properly by HP my rating would be a 4 or 5. I say “fighting,” because so far things aren’t going well. Laptop isn’t even a year old

not what I was expecting
This is a 2,400$ computer, and I think it is over priced cause it runs on a GTX 1650ti and a I7 10gen. The GTX 1650ti is only 300$ or more and a I7 10gen is around 300 as well.
That only adds up to about 600$. They spent the 1800$ on something else that doesn’t make the computer runs fast

Fantastic Laptop
Graphics and performance on this laptop is awesome! The only two things that I think that HP can improve on would be the battery life and the amount of heat it emits. Otherwise it is worth the extra dough.

The HP Spectre is an excellent unit . Well designed and is a Good looking laptop.
All functions are easy to use and well laid out. This is my second unit and I must admit the Rose Gold trim sets it apart from other laptops.
