Quality device and easy to use.
Super easy to use - just plugged it in to my Windows 10 PC and it worked, and when I then got a new Lenovo Windows 11 PC it recognized the camera right away. Video quality is very good, as well.

Really like this webcam!
I am really enjoying my new Lenovo webcam. The picture is definitely better than when I just use my laptop's built-in camera. It's easy to set up, the privacy slider is a cinch to use, and I really like the 360-degree swivel feature. My only suggestion would be that the clip should be a little more secure to attach the webcam to the laptop. It's easy to knock it off. Other than that, I'm totally satisfied and would highly recommend.

Have use this webcam for few weeks now, it is easy to use, great image quality, wide angle camera and a tripod mount at the bottom of the webcam. Zoom meeting image looks sharp, and the buildin microphone works great.

Amazing no-frills webcam for Windows Hello
If you are tried of logging into your desktop with password and envy people logging in with their face on their Surface and new laptops, stop and get this very affordable webcam. Plug and voila you have Windows Hello Face! It also comes with physical shutter for lens. The only drawback is that this webcam does not have a microphone, so you need to have a separate mic for video calls.

Great inexpensive Windows Hello Camera. Works as well as my the Hello Camera in my Surface Book 2. When I have my Surface Book 2 Docked, I can push to the side and out of the way and use my two external monitors with this camera on top for Teams and logging me in.

Great Value Webcam
I purchased this as a replacement for my Logitech c270. That camera has a much narrower FoV than this one.
Windows Hello face unlock was the main reason I bought it, it is an amazing feature. All you have to do is turn the computer on and it unlocks.
The way it sits on my monitor is also preferable, as a little bit of my monitor was covered by the Logitech device.
The video quality isn't amazing, but it isn't bad. Biggest issue is noise.
One thing to note is that there is no built in microphone. This could be a deal breaker depending on your setup and use case. I knew this before I purchased it and just use earbuds if I need a mic.
It is nice that there is a privacy shade, but often I find that if I close it, I may accidentally move the camera position. It's fine if you do it slowly.
Overall, I would recommend this camera, but don't pay $70 for it. I bought it on sale for $36 and got $5 of cashback. For about $30, this is a great device.

Great value web cam
I bought this wanting to get Windows Hello and slightly better picture on my calls - which this camera does wonderfully.
I like how the usb C cable it comes with is plenty long, as well as a manual shutter if you want to be extra safe.
This camera doesn't come with a mic which is what I wanted since I didn't need another audio source.
As long as you keep in mind what this camera does and doesn't do, it is an excellent value and works great.

webcam is pretty good, I mainly got it for windows hello and it works close to 100% of the time, works even better then the Microsoft Surface windows hello camera, that one only works about 70-80 percent of the time.

Good quality, quick IR authentication. NOTE: in order for the IR camera to work you must disable your laptop IR camera. Microsoft does not yet support both enabled at the same time. This is not noted anywhere but Lenovo Support was very helpful to fix the device conflict.

This is the cheapest camera that support windows hello. However the image quality was not great especially in low light. So if you want a high quality webcam, you'd probably want to look for a Logitech or something.

NIce camera, works as soon as plugged in, but nowhere can I find information on how to adjust white balance or zoom or any other setting. Not even Lenovo Vantage works - it only has settings for the integrated setting.

Lenovo 500 FHD Webcam Review
This unit is a great general purpose webcam for a very competitive price. It does not include a microphone, but for me I did not require one (or need one because I use a much better quality boom mic as I've found that even the best webcam mics aren't that great. The 500 FHD webcam provides a very easy setup, with plug and play on my work-based Macbook, and no issues with image quality. One extra feature I wasn't aware of until I set it up was a sliding lens cover, providing some extra security when not in use (which was a really nice addition). Very solid construction, good mount, and long cable that reaches the top of my 28" monitor with lots to spare! I recommend this unit over anything else it the same price point, and I've purchased multiple Lenovo devices (laptops, tablets, etc) over the years and have always been a fan of their products. The 500 FHD doesn't disappoint.

Small camera with exceptional viewing. Only camera I know of that has a tripod screw hole to use it! That doubles it's use for me. The sliding cover, built in, is great way to stop hackers from seeing anything. Picture is far superior to built in camera on my laptop. Highest recommendation for this unit!

No Mic and the Image Flickers
I have two major problems with this webcam. The first is that it does not have a microphone built into it. The second is that the image flickers. I have reconnected the wires a number of times with no improvement. I will be returning this item to Lenovo for a refund.

The camera works well, installs easily and haven't had any issues. The built in privacy screen is a nice tip. Now I don't have to use tape. I maybe should have considered one with a built-in mic as it's a bit cumbersome having two devices, but hardly an issue with this camera.

Good camera in the time of COVID when it's hard to find a good camera. I typically buy Logitech or Microsoft cameras but they are no where to be found. I purchased a budget camera before I got this one and it had to go back as it was horrible. This is a well build camera with a good image.

I'm not a videophile, so I can't say whether or not it has perfect image quality. I can say that it looks good to me.
More importantly, it just works. It doesn't come with any drivers, and there are no drivers to download. You just plug it in and off you go. Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and SnapCamera all instantly recognized it.
Also, the Windows Hello functionality is amazing. Again, there's nothing to install (if you have Windows 10). You just plug it in and go to "login options", and follow the prompts to set up Windows Hello. Then, you can sit down in front of your computer, tap a key on your keyboard, and the camera logs you in.

A little soft in weak light, but still fine for video calls. Really like the camera - well constructed, excellent HD video. But, didn't realize it does not have an integrated microphone, so need to purchase a separate mic if I want to use this camera. Purchased another brand that has microphone - video quality is comparable, but not as well constructed (especially the clip that holds it on the monitor). Lenovo 500 would be 5 stars with the mic.

First off, this came really quick given the pandemic situation. Ordered Aug 17, received Aug 26. Neat packaging. Compared to a cheap ($40) camera on Amazon, he quality isn't the best, but that can probably be tweaked with lights. The privacy shutter is so seamless and super nice. Windows Hello sold me! After using it on a laptop, I wanted it on every device. No more passcodes :P

Amazing Quality Webcam!
I have a MacBook Air and use a Lenovo Monitor when I want to use the computer as a desktop. I was afraid it would not be compatible with the Mac, but it works perfectly!!! For those wondering how to go about using it with a Mac laptop, I plugged the webcam into my Lenovo Monitor and voila! Ready to go! The webcam image is sharp and it is wide screen. Beautiful imagery and so much better than my laptop's built-in webcam. The only downside is that there is no mic, however this is generally the case with most webcams. Using headphones does the trick! Super satisfied with the purchase and would recommend to all!

Better than nothing but not as good as something
Easy set up. Just download driver from Lenovo site. Just sits on top of the computer. Easy to move around and very portable. Usb C for connection but usb A for computer. Picture very washed out and no microphone. My computers webcam looked sharper. Microsoft hello works but after reboot had to reset it so not sure if it was me or not. Has built in privacy cover which is nice and no microphone, will use the systems one if you don’t have an auxiliary mic. I returned it since my computer looked better but this is a good webcam of you have nothing and want microsoft hello features.

This webcam is great. The quality is high, the mount is stable, and the privacy cover is a nice addition. It was easy to operate, but required a driver installation to get Hello to work. Also, it would be nice if it had an included microphone, but not a major problem for me.

Really like this webcam!
I am really enjoying my new Lenovo webcam. The picture is definitely better than when I just use my laptop's built-in camera. It's easy to set up, the privacy slider is a cinch to use, and I really like the 360-degree swivel feature. My only suggestion would be that the clip should be a little more secure to attach the webcam to the laptop. It's easy to knock it off. Other than that, I'm totally satisfied and would highly recommend.

Low Video Quality for 1080P camera
Camera video quality is lacking compared to other 1080P webcams. Picture quality looks more like a 720P camera.
No software to control camera's zoom feature. No audio microphone.
Only good part is that it has IR and works with Windows Hello so I gave it 2 stars.
I would not recommend this camera to anyone.

Great resolution and Windows Hello Capable
I have been looking for an inexpensive webcam that had decent video and Windows Hello capability. After finding a few off-brand cameras on Amazon that had mediocre reviews, I finally came across this Lenovo webcam that touted Windows Hello capability, better resolution than the Amazon ones, and a trusted name brand. I didn't hesitate to order it. I knew going into the purchase that this camera has no microphone but the NUC that I am plugging it into has more than capable microphones built in. I love that this camera works even with just a USB 2.0 connection. In fact, I have it shared with another computer by using a USB 2.0 switch. This way, both computers have Windows Hello enabled. The only drawback of this camera is that it takes a long time to ship.

Windows Hello
I love Windows Hello to log in. Saves having to type in your password. This is the cheapest webcam you can get with Windows Hello and it works well. The video quality is good. The only problem is that it does not have a microphone and you will have to get a separate one. If you want good sound you would probably need a separate mic from most webcams anyway. You should just know this does not have one.

This is great for an inexpensive webcam. The adjustable mounting bracket could be better designed. The USB cable at the top of the camera pulls the camera down from the back. I had to tape the cord to the back of the display inorder to keep it in place.

Works well. Couple of confusing issues. The driver that came with it is for another model. I mounted it in a way that looked the best. Did this assuming I could switch the view 180 degrees. Could not find a method to do this so had to remount it. Looks funky but works.

Overall the camera has worked well. I have five HD webcam of different makes in the house. Only an older Logitech model, that is very hard to find these days, has what I would consider a slightly better image. The Lenovo 500 set up quickly and automatically on two different computers.

Windows Hello facial recognition works pretty well, but the actual camera quality is not good at all. Very grainy, especially in low light (while other cameras, even cheaper ones, do much better in the same conditions. I'll be keeping my old cam for actual RGB video.

Excellent camera, adjustable, privacy enhancements
Full disclosure, I am a Lenovo employee who has bought this. It has worked very well for it's intended purpose with Microsoft Teams. The mount attaches to my P44w monitor without blocking the display. Some nice things I didn't know about the camera is that is is also pre drilled and threaded for a tripod mount (a tripod mount is not included, but it is nice that it could be attached to one at the base if you don't want to position it over a monitor. It does have a physical privacy shutter you throw closed with your finger, with a "red means dead" indicator over the lens. The shutter is manual with no digital override, so you are insured the camera is shut down when closed. When active and in use, a white LED light comes on on the body of the camera, so you know you are being recorded then. Connection is a straightforward USB-A connection to the system, with a USB-C connection to the camera itself. The camera uses a swivel attachement to the base, so you can micro adjust the aim of the camera to center your face: perfect for teleconferencing/virtual meetings. Image is good and clear. With a current version of Windows 10 (in my case, ver 1909 the camera properly loaded the correct driver without addtional intervention once plugged in.

In this day and age it is unthinkable that a webcam would be made without a built in mic especially at the price of this camera. If I had realized at the time of order I would not have purchased it. In addition there was no way to cancel the order. Even though the camera works well, I am unhappy with the experience. Good deal, usable but not GREAT 1080p quality.
For the price it is a stellar deal, windows hello + 1080p. I did pull one star because the picture is quite grainy if you are viewing it full screen. When in a call with more than one person (wherein your video would take up only half the screen), the viewer would be hard pressed to notice. But it is quite noticable in one on one video chats.

the camera is great - perfect for my Zoom and Team meetings with co-workers. the only issue i have is there's no management software of any sort for it. Logitech camera's come with software that run's in the tray and it allows for zoom, brightness, contrast, etc. management while using the camera. with the 500 FHD, you're stuck with the preset.

This is a good webcam with a lot of helpful features. I can use this webcam to log with Windows Hello, a wide video capture that can be tilted and swiveled, and also a mechanical shutter for privacy.

Powerful but some connectivity issues
The swivel abilities and resolution are great. I purchased it because the camera that comes on the Legion is at the bottom of the screen (a horrible position.
I was hoping to connect it to my Legion Y540 through USB-C, but it is USB-C on the camera end of the cable and USB-A on the computer end. Fortunately, I have an adapter that I can use.
When using with a headset, it has a tendency to knock out the headset connection, so I have to disconnect and reconnect the headset.
It can take a full 2 minutes for the computer to register the device is connected. If you have a meeting, get set up a least 5 minutes in advance to deal with headset and camera issues.
It clips on to the top of the computer in a strange manner. My laptop is very thin, so it can be easily knocked off.

Not the Best Choice for a Yoga, Good on a Desktop
I bought this camera to use for Zoom calls with my Lenovo Yoga, as the internal camera's quality was not that good. It is a nicely made unit, elegant in appearance. Image quality is better than the internal camera. The problem is that the mount is designed to fit over a full size monitor and I could not get the unit well stabilized on the laptop.

Camera is quite good; mounts well and picture is excellent. I like the fact that it has a gimbal mount to also fit a tripod, which I will use at times. Would have given it 5 stars, but the sliding lens cover only covers the main lens, not the IR lens.

Excellent picture quality. I love the ability to close the camera lens off with a built-in slide.
I actually like that it doesn't come with a microphone as I have installed a better-quality microphone of my own; that it, better then the ones that come with most cameras.
Wide-angle lens does require thinking about your background.

This is not the webcam you are looking for.
This cam works as advertised but is not the ideal Zoom/Teams/FaceTime webcam. It is super wide angle making the speaker look a little awkward and shows more background (the straighten up before your meeting) than necessary. It also has no mic. This is better for a conference room that requires the wide angle and where a separate microphone solution is in place.

Great Camera at an Affordable Price
Right out of the box this camera worked, no extra software to download or settings to adjust. Just easy plug and play at its best.
Got this for my parents computer so they can join in on the zoom call train. Only down side was it took 5 week to ship.
Pro:
- Lower cost compared to similar models (>$50
- USB C plug on device. This is great incase the cord ever gets damaged, then the cord is the only replacement part.
- Image quality and light balance are good.
Cons:
- Took 5 weeks to ship.
Overall I'm happy with the camera and will recommend it to others in the future.

The image is oversaturated and grainy. The webcam is easy to set up, and its nice that it has a privacy slider, but the image is the main feature in a camera, and this one just isn't worth the money. I would suggest watching some Youtube videos of people demonstrating the camera, and then buying something else.

Working from home, I have to participate in lots of video calls. So far, I did it from my phone or laptop. Now, I can have multi-person meetings in full quality on the big screen. This camera is dead easy to use and has very good picture quality. I would definitely buy it again.

Low image quality, not worth any money.
Do not buy. Camera quality is worse than 12yr old $50 cameras from the back of my drawers. Grainy, incorrect colors, slightest light source like a partial window in a webcam background situation would immediately saturate and darken the face. These are all solved problems for 5+ years now. I have made the mistake of buying this camera, and returning it promptly.

The different position adjustments are helpful, although it is easy for it to get out of alignment and need to be re-positioned. My only real dissatisfaction is the quality of the camera. Even at 1080p, it is not what I would hope for.

There is a reason this camera is available
So-So webcam. Misleading description (it doesn't pan or tilt in the way you would expect, but it can be adjusted manually - just like any really cheap webcam. The worst part is that the video quality is quite grainy - more like a 480k rather than a 1080k camera. This can be improved with software - but no software is included, nor does it appear to be available on the website. Just barely acceptable for business video calls.

It looks like it's well built and it comes with the necessary cables to connect to a laptop or a desktop. The attachment system seems to be non-marring. love that this camera is Windows Hello compatible. I purchased when it was on sale. While it doesn't have a mic, this isn't an issue for me. I love the privacy cover. No longer I need to worry about my camera starting up on its own. The camera itself doesn't mount very well. I definitely recommend a tripod that can adjust for ease of use. The video quality is also good. It auto enchances when the room is dimly lit and allows ppl to see me better in an office that doesn't get much sunlight

The price wasn't bad but the quality was sub par in lower light situations and had awful white balance. It made me look like a cherry! No software to adjust the image either. Logitech C925 looks much better and has tools to change the settings.

It seems functional and well-built BUT the IMAGE QUALITY IS NOT GREAT. The webcam on my ThinkPad T470 is far superior to Lenovo 500 FHD. I really wonder whether it is a full 1080p HD webcam as mentioned in the specs (which states: Enjoy pixel-perfect high definition FHD 1080P video.
Tried the webcam using various web conferencing tools on a ThinkPad and a ThinkStation, and the image quality was not great on both machines, so I had to return it. I would have kept it if the quality was at par with the 720p HD camera on my Thinkpad T470.
Quite disappointed as I expected much better from Lenovo. If Lenovo can make a great built-in webcam for the Thinkpad, why can't it build a stand-alone webcam that is of the same quality??

A Reliable Webcam.
A handy webcam, especially in the age of virtual conferencing. The camera was extremely easy to set up without any fuss. The usb cable is long enough for most any home office situation, even standing desks. I appreciate that this camera linked up with Windows Hello to make sign on extremely easy. I barely sit down and i am already signed in. I also like its range of motion so you can direct it however you need.For the price I got it, it is extremely reasonable and i hope will last me a long time.

Great little camera with good clarity. Love that it has a shutter to close it when not in use. The only downside is the stand/clip. While the swivel component makes it very adjustable, the clip part isn't super stable. There is a way to put it on a tripod if that bothers you, though. Solid cam.

I was excited about this camera even though it took a very long time to ship. Unfortunately, it is not what I consider a hi-def camera. The picture was grainy - the worst resolution when compared with my tablet and phone. Disappointing. Returned.

Excellent cam similar to Logitech HD Pro c920
I already own the Logitech HD Pro c920 and love it. The Lenovo FHD 500 webcam is even better. The overall 1080p video quality is slightly better color rendering. So if you are happy with the c920 you will love this one too.
NOTE: This cam does NOT have a microphone. For me this is fine as I have a nice external microphone on my desktop. The video quality and if you find good pricing, makes this a perfect streaming and youtube video camera that you would pair with a good external mic. I don't recommend most webcam mics anyways.
Pros:
- Excellent image quality and smoothness.
- includes a slider-based privacy shutter.
- Windows Hello compatible 2nd sensor.
- Detachable USB-C cable (minor gripe, wish it was centered in the rear
- Pivot joint so you can adjust horizontal level different from monitor when on the monitor.
- Tripod mounting hole.
Cons:
- Huge one for some users... No Microphone. And since many buy a USB webcam because they are not using a laptop which often comes with a webcam, that means you may not already have a microphone. If you already have a headset for calls or gaming, you can use that or buy an external microphone.
- Cam pivot joint is on the weak side and the cable weight alone can cause the cam to tilt or wiggle. Not so weak to be defective, but would be nice to be stiffer. I worry it could get loose over time.
When you can buy this for cheaper than the c920, it's a great value. And an excellent streamer's video camera to pair with a good/great external mic.

Great camera but no microphone
I bought this on a whim when it was advertised at a special price. My current webcam was over 10 years old and the picture was not very sharp. This new webcam has a great, sharp and light picture. I wish I could zoom, but have not found how this is possible. I also did not notice that the microphone was not a part of the webcam so had to invest in a stand-alone mic. Not really a big deal. All in all, I am pleased with this purchase, just wish it had a microphone.

One of the main reason why I picked this camera is due to the Windows Hello feature, which is very nice and convenient for logins and various security access within the Windows 10 OS. This webcam has been great! It has been super useful to use for Windows Hello, and video quality is good. Although it doesn't have a mic, that isn't a big deal. Love that it includes a built in privacy cover as well. I would recommend this webcam, especially with a desktop setup.

Don't buy if you want to use with a Chromebook.
I purchased this to use for Zoom meetings using my Lenovo C 330 Chromebook. The Chromebook does not recognize the Web Cam. To eliminate that it was a computer problem, I took a very old Microsoft webcam and plugged it into the Chromebook and it was recognized immediately.
When I plugged the Webcam into a Windows computer video worked but the microphone did not. Don't have time to fool with it. Plan on returning the webcam.

It was really easy to plug in and staff using right away with my work from home setup. It’s hard to get your hands on a decent webcam these days due to webcams being sold out everywhere. The quality of my video is great and the price was good too. I am happy with my purchase.

Works in Linux! Privacy slider couldn't be easier
I knew that this camera would take a while to ship, due to demand spikes. Once I received it, everything was plug and play.
I use both Windows 10 and Pop! OS 20.04 on my desktop. This camera works with both, natively. The privacy slider was also a major reason why I considered the 500 FHD - it's easier to use than some competitors' privacy covers are.
It's nice being able to video chat on my desktop, especially now in the times of social distancing.

A capable webcam at a good price point
This webcam performs acceptably, with sharp images and quality sound. It is rather large, but not obtrusively so. I have continued to use my MS Lifecam, as there is no appreciable improvement in the video or audio, and the Lifecam has a much smaller footprint atop my monitor. If I didn't have, or couldn't get, another Lifecam I would certainly be happy with this Lenovo webcam. It's color balance is better than other webcams at the same price point, and as this is typically non-adjustable in entry level webcams, it's important.

If you're desperate for an "eh" cam with no mic.
This camera is...decent, at best. It markets itself as "Full HD," but I will say that I find that questionable. I purchased this during the pandemic, and the delay in shipping was like 4 months, so I bought a cheaper Chinese camera on Amazon to fill the time...but sadly, the FHD 500 picture doesn't really stand up to even the cheap Chinese one (and that one works with both Windows AND Mac). Also, make sure to note that the FHD 500 does not have a microphone in it. I assumed it did, because honestly, why wouldn't it...but no. So be aware of that.

Video quality is a little lacking in low light situations but otherwise everything works great! If you are privacy focused this is a great option, no microphone and a privacy shutter. Windows hello works great and the mounting/placement options make this great for streaming!

I've not had a chance to do side by side comparisons with other webcams in terms of image quality, however the picture from this webcam appears to be solid, and at an exceptionally low cost for an HD webcam. There are no mics with this webcam, but I think thats for the better since using a headset always sounds best. Installation is quick.

Great camera but can't grip thin screens.
Great video quality, plug and play ease. But, the gripping mechanism needs at least a quarter inch thick object to attach. My laptop screen is razor thin, so it can't grip it.

This webcam has been perfect. It is versatile in that it mounts on the monitor, sits on the desktop, or can be mounted on a camera stand. The resolution is great and I love the future that I can manually turn it off and on. The design of the monitor mount is such that it can adjust to fit any monitor. Last but not least is the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Good basic webcam with Windows Hello Face support
Webcam works as expected. Primary use is for virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams. I really like that it supports Microsoft Hello, so I can use it to unlock my computer. Note that this camera does not include a microphone. That's not the fault of the camera, but did mean I needed to purchase an additional microphone before transitioning from my previous camera, which did include a mic.

I can't believe there is a modern webcam with no microphone. I mean, this is standard, correct? Why market it as a "webcam". I would rate it 1 star, but the video is decent, but the whole thing is useless for all 10 we bought.

Great for Teaching
I use this for teaching with adult students and it works perfectly. Because so many webcams have a cheap microphone I don't miss a built in mic. I use a quality mic because the class lasts for three hours and the students can hear the difference.

Most Bang for the Buck!
I needed a webcam that could work with the WIndows Hello feature of Windows 10. A lot of other similarly priced webcams have the same general specs, but do not support the feature. I like that it has the slide shutter to cover the camera lens when not in use, but remembering that the shutter is closed can be an issue if you forget!. It was easy to install, and I didn't have to install any drivers for it to work out of the box.

Good camera with consistent performance
The camera works well for what it is, a webcam for conference or even personal use. I originally was interested in this for the Windows Hello functionality. When I first hooked it up, every time I went to configure the facial recognition it would disconnect the camera. However video conference worked perfectly every time. I found out through some testing that when Hello attempts to authenticate it activates an infrared lens in the camera which requires some extra power. I had originally connected it to a USB on a port replicator. I had to switch it to another USB port that was directly attached to the motherboard of the machine and the issue went away.
I really like the privacy shutter, it is a nice touch. The stand is OK. Not the best one I have seen but it does the job. Quality of the picture is good and the facial recognition is fast and seems to work consistently. I took a star off of it for the power consumption and stand and the camera seems to be very wide, not sure if that is needed for the electronics inside.

I needed a basic webcam separate from the integrated cam on my laptop. Plug & play installation was as simple as it gets, and everything worked perfectly right out of the box. Can't speak to any bells & whistles it might come with, as I don't have need of them.

Good web camera, needs a stand or tripod
The web camera works out of the box with Win 10, and it's easy to switch between the laptop camera and this camera for Zoom within Zoom. I like that there's a shutter, as I meant to use the web camera to show something else as part of my Zoom meetings, and the resolution is high enough. Low light is not great, but for a Zoom meeting, it's better than the laptop camera. Just make sure you've a tripod or stand to tighten it on.

Camera portion was good, but I was completely surprised when I plugged it in and discovered it doesn't have a built in microphone. I didn't even think to check that when looking for webcams to buy, since it's such a fundamental need for everything I think of using a web cam for.

This is a very nice camera. Good quality. The Windows Hello feature works great. The big disappointment for me is that it doesn't have a built-in microphone. This was an oversight on my part. I should have read the specs more carefully. I just never thought a webcam wouldn't have a mic built in. So I had to buy a freestanding mic as well. Keep that in mind when you are comparing prices.

Produces a noisy image with fickle white balance. It's usable, though not great, for day-in, day-out usage. But I do some vlogging and there is no way I would use this camera for that purpose. It's not nearly as good as the Logitech 920, which I also own. Also, it seemingly has no microphone, at least I couldn't find it in the audio lists. I assumed it would have one. The bottom line is it is a barely passable device. I'll keep it due to the current lack of supply (due to Covid), but under normal circumstances this item would be returned.

Without a doubt, always a smart decision!
As always, Lenovo has surpassed my expectations of quality. With technology advancements being something that within a blink of an eye can so easily be outdated. This webcamera is definately top of the line quality and is for sure a competitor against other major brands. It's also a steal of a price. I mean why go spend $200 on a webcamera that maybe might have the same wonderful quality as this one, but definately will not compare to the life of Lenovo products and durability. Time and time again,Lenovo has and will always be my go to for any major tech devices I'd ever need.

Great for conference rooms
This camera works well for our purposes of conducting virtual conferences and video calls from a laptop streamed on our television in our conference room. Camera sits perfectly on top of the television and connects to the USB of the computer (we needed an extension to be able to reach the computer, luckily we already had one in the office.

The camera works and isn't too pricey. In reality though, for general use, the camera has a relatively good field of view, good color and contrast, and connects with USB-C. If you are working from home it also works well mounted on televisions, and has really good swivel tension so it won't drop on you mid call.

This is a very nice and well designed camera with high picture quality. It has infrared camera for Windows Hallo face recognition. Keep in mind that currently the only one camera can be configured with this feature per device. The camera does not have a built in microphone.

Handy webcam, performance was underwhelming
I was really excited to get this camera as a step up from the built in webcam on my laptop. My laptop webcam is 720p and this one is supposedly 1080p in a simple test switching back and forth between the two I was disappointed to see that the quality was nearly identical. I could barely notice a difference and I'm bummed I didn't go with an option from Logitech. Don't get me wrong the camera looks great, has awesome features like Windows Hello, and gets the job done. I was just hoping for a bit more.
