Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Features but, I have a suggestion! I bought this a while ago and it works like a dream. It is WAY better than the Lenovo active 1. Everything is smooth and it writes wonderfully. The only problem is that I am a very forgetful person. I get tired and misplace things easily. I have almost lost this pen more times than I can count. About a month ago, I misplaced it again. I have no idea where it went and it's very frustrating. I talked to a friend who has a Surface and she can find her pen no problem through a "tracking system" on her computer, kind of like FindMyPhone. I think that Lenovo should invest in this type of system. It would keep people like me sane and would likely attract more customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First stylus, user friendly Great for a beginner, easy to assemble. The only issue I had, which I’ve seen others comment on, is the holder for the stylus blocking ports. It didn’t take very long to assemble or figure out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good f unction, but very slick Got this stylus over a year ago. I've had little to no issues so far. I haven't had to change the batteries yet, and I've had no issues with the size buttons or the tips. My only issues have been with how slick it is when holding it, and an issue with the bottom button. The button problem is my fault though (it took a tumble got attacked by a cat and then stepped on). I've heard there's a good warranty on the pen, but I didn't use the bottom button enough to bother. Coming back to the slick thing, it's a very slippery material that lets it slice around While you work. It's not awful, but it leads to lots of mistaken button presses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful, is worth it Works very good with my daughters Lenovo laptops, the pressure sensitivity is really good. Be aware some apps do not support the feature. It was not compatible with my Dell laptop but it's ok and I was informed it would not. Great addition for people who want to do whiteboarding during meetings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pen The pen works great. When used with my Thinkpad X1 Yoga (Gen 7), this is the best experience that I've had with pen for a Windows machine. It just works well. The pen is smooth, it always engages with the screen, and palm rejection is great. I find it much less finicky than any other pen I've used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Pen That Actually Works!! This pen has smooth operation and a neat cradle that plugs into a usb port. It works great on my Lenovo Flex7. The only thing cooler would be if it had wire-free charging while resting in the cradle, but lenovo opted for AAAA and button batteries instead. Looks like it should be a good while before they need replacement!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for avid pen users. It does what it says its going to do. Just don't know why there has to be two separate battery compartments and two different types of batteries. Take a AAAA and to small button batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still getting the hang of it. I’m still getting the hang of the pen. I love the Yoga laptop/tablet but wish it had been included as a bundle because separate shipping and ordering made the buying experience more cumbersome. The buttons and shortcuts are a little bit involved and the sync button (click top) is easy to press on accident, at least for my meaty hands. A simple stylus would probably be sufficient for me but I suspect the added features (connect, disconnect, draw/click and erase) do add some value. It is just not always obvious to me when it stops working that I have disabled it by accident. Given that, I can’t really review performance or reliability because I can’t tell when it is user error or the device. From a software perspective I would like to see some optional on-screen and audio feedback indicating the connection state of the pen / action button selected. There is a small (pinhole) blue light on the pen itself but it’s a little hard to see and therefore less useful - at least in bright ambient light or for someone’s who’s vision isn’t what it once was. If the onscreen feedback exists it has eluded me. All that said, it looks nice and helps with drawing, especially when you have large fingers that make fine detail more difficult, and reduces the need to clean the screen. The USB port mounted holder is a nice option to have but I also keep hitting the buttons on the pen when using it because either way you are sliding the pen into the collar that holds it. Now that I bought the sleeve I just use the pen-holder included in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pairing for Yoga 730 This pen dramatically increased the versatility for my laptop (which is a 13" Yoga 730). The bluetooth pairing between the laptop and the pen was easy, the pen is easy to understand and a joy to use. I neglected to give the fifth star due to some conectivity issues. I've been using the pen for a month now, and twice I've had it either disconnect to the laptop or just not show up when I tap the screen. Other than these slight hiccups, I think this pen alows me to use this laptop to the best of my abilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Barely works I've had this pen for about 7 months now, and after the first couple months it got very buggy. Always saying that the battery is low despite me replacing both of them earlier that day and just not working most of the time. It was great at first, had very good sensitivity and the perfect weight, but now it only works for a minute (tops) at a time before it bugs out, in which case I have to apply very heavy pressure to get anything out of it. I've looked on online forums dating back to 2018, and have found people with similar problems both on and off the Lenovo website, yet no answers. I have always taken very good care of it too, always kept it in a case when not in use, never dropped it, never reckless at all with it, which really makes it a shame, especially considering the somewhat expensive price. I have the IdeaPad Flex14 if that makes any difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It writes - but bluetooth connectivity is suspect Bought it to go with my Lenovo 720 Yoga Convertible laptop. It could connect using bluetooth only once. The Bluetooth module stopped working after that. I still can draw with it, but the integration with Windows OS is not fully functional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Hold and "Write" with I love this pen! It has the weight of a real pen which allows annotating on a touch screen to be easier. I love that it can be stored right on my device using the USB port. It is well-liked by the adults and my five-year-old. She can easily "write" on the screen with it and enjoys that it is easy to hold and write with. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for drawing, but has issues I got this pen last week. Out of the box, it will work on the touchscreen without issue, but wouldn't work with my drawing apps. After installing the recommended driver and software, it did work briefly, but the software would regularly uninstall itself without warning, making it a hassle every time I wanted to use it. After some research, someone recommended to install WinTab, which did solve my issue. But a few days later, I tried pulling the pen out of the USB holder and it popped the top button off and it broke when I tried to put it back in. But if you can deal with these things, the pen itself does work just like you'd expect it to. Very accurate lines with great pressure sensitivity, and I'd rather have it than not. I'm just not sure if it's worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tablet/2-in-1 stylus I love this little helper. This pen has your right and left click at t hi umb level. If you use a compatible laptop 2-in-1 or tablet, this is great. I used a couple other stylus previously, they were all fairly fat and broked down rubber nibs quickly. This nib is a bit thicker and a lot thinner, which makes some finer detail a lot easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pen for Note-taking I bought this pen to go with my Lenovo Yoga 730 and it works great. I'm a collage student and it pairs very well with my Lenovo Laptop, writes smoothly, and the buttons and hover click features work very well. I like how the software Lenovo provides for the pen allows you to customize 4 different button options and the pen pressure and tilt sensitivity. It took me a couple days of writing to adjust the settings to my liking, but now this pen how I take notes and do homework. The only downside to the this pen is that it runs on a AAAA battery and those can sometimes be a challenge to find. However, I've had the pen for over a month and I haven't had to change the battery yet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pen! It works very well with my Flex 14 and the Lenovo Pen settings app makes it very easy to customize the buttons and view battery life. The pressure sensitivity is effective and the pen works very well with Photoshop and Windows Whiteboard. I only wish the pen had a power button to be able to turn on and off or that it was rechargeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pen The Lenovo Active Pen 2 came with my Yoga 920 but I unfortunately lost it recently. Instead of purchasing a different pen, I decided to stick with the Active Pen 2 for several reasons. Aesthetic-wise, it is a very sleek device and feels nice and heavy in my hand. One of them being its affordability compared to other bluetooth tablet pens. Another reason was that I liked how the hard rubber tip felt on the screen, making the writing experience more comfortable and my handwriting glide easier than using a flimsy rubber stylus. My only qualm is that the batteries for the bluetooth part died pretty quickly, so I'll have to replace those. Not only that, but AAAA batteries are not as easily accessible to purchase in person so I have to order those online. Otherwise, I don't see myself having a need to move on from the Active Pen 2 for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice I haven't used it too much yet as school hasn't started, but I'm looking forward to using to take notes! It works great on my Yoga C740 and is easy to use and set up. Seems like it's a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very responsive pen - a must for your ThinkPad I haven't owned any other digital pens prior to this, but I can say that the screen on my ThinkPad is very responsive to this pen; it provides a very smooth writing experience and is very comfortable in your hand. I'd compare it to a Pilot Fine Tip Ink Pen. Although there could be more flexibility in programming the barrel buttons, they serve their purpose and are easy to use without stopping what you're doing, whether writing, sketching, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great device Unfortunately, my pen didn't arrive in my first order. However, I reordered the pen via Amazon and was not disappointed. I appreciate the sleek design, accuracy, and sensitivity. The best part however is the new button on the end of the pen. I would definitely recommend Lenovo products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great for a few months. I bought this for school and it worked great for a few months, but then it stopped writing. I have tried changing the batteries and the pen tip with no success. Sometimes when I take the batteries in and out and disconnect/reconnect to my computer a bunch of times then it will start working for some time before it eventually breaks again. Probably just an outlier since overall this pen got good reviews, but I am not happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent. But... It’s a great pen. Really responsive and comfortable to use. It has customizable buttons for almost everything you could want to do with it. I have absolutely no complaints about it. I give it four stars though because about a week after I bought it, the touchscreen on my yoga 730-15 stopped responding to my finger. I have tried EVERYTHING possible to fix the situation, up to wiping the computer 100% clean and reinstalling windows 10, but the touchscreen driver still only works with this great pen... I’m working on it with customer support but no dice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The pen works This pen works well with my Yoga 740. I love how how you can adjust line thickness by how you hold the pen and how much pressure you exert. I do plan to make some adjustment to the appearance so that it’s more distinctive - someone keeps putting this away with the pens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pen, good price. The pen works great. I use it for drawing and almost never have a problem. 100% user error, occasionally i write from a weird angle of my pen and the line doesn't show up. I primarily use it for sketching during school hours when I can't be home to do a full illustration. The lines are clear, the only wobble comes from my own shaky hands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Think The pen has a good "feel" in your hand and the tip has nice resistance when writing on the Yoga 730 touchscreen. I don't know why there has to be so many different coin batteries to get this to work. I hope they last a long time! Overall, a decent pen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and good, but room for improvement. First off, their shipping on this is incredibly slow. Came weeks after the laptop. But that's not the pen's fault. Regarding the pen itself, the weight and feel are good. Nicely balanced. The buttons have good feedback. I'm using a Yoga 730 and it was ridiculously easy to pair with the laptop. Lenovo has its own settings program that can customize the buttons decently and set sensitivity levels. It has a Wacom driver but don't bother with the Wacom pen software. They don't actually use it in favor of their Lenovo Pen settings app. You never really use 4,000 levels of sensitivity as a human, so once you setup your art software and get your sensitivity calibrated, it works well for sketching and painting. The draw vs screen response is fantastic. No lag! So it's got a lot of good strong points. The reason for the 3 stars? Tilt support. This supposedly has tilt support and even has tilt sensitivity settings you can setup. I've tried updating or reinstalling drivers. Trying various different digital art tools. But I cannot get any program anywhere to recognize its tilt. We know the previous Active Pen 1 did not have tilt support and were anxiously awaiting this one for it. But nope... despite claims and settings, still no tilt support that I can see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall a good instrument. I purchased this pen to replace the original pen that came with the computer. I am using this pen on a Lenovo Yoga book 930C. I have some issues with palm rejection on the e-ink side of the tablet. The pen requires 2 kinds of batteries. The original pen that came with the computer had only one battery. That is disappointing. The clip that holds the pen to the computer via the usb port does not work with the Yoga book because it has two USB-C ports not the larger usb ports. The original pen magnetically attached to the computer. This pen does not attach to the computer in any way. This presents a greater risk of losing the pen. As for it's other functions, they are similar to the original. The 2096 levels of pressure sensitivity make for a more realistic experience. The 3 buttons are conveniently placed, are programmable and work well. The pen is responsive. It doesn't skip. Diagonal lines appear straight. The diameter and weight are reminiscent of a quality ink pen. It could use some form of knurling on the barrel where it is held for writing. It is the next best thing to a pen and paper. This whole review was written with this Lenovo Active Pen 2 without difficulty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, but I struggle to find ways to use it This pen works great! It responds to the different pressure that you use and it has a good feeling when drawing on the screen - like using a marker. I have mostly used it for doodling in Windows Ink and OneNote; I am still looking for ways to use it in everyday work without it feeling forced. I am going to use it for drawing workflows and capturing notes during meetings, but I still haven't been able to do that without feeling like I am awkwardly forcing the utility of the pen. I truly enjoy using the pen as it works really well, but I am struggling to find productive ways to use it in my everyday life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect digital art rig, pen durability needs work This laptop blew my expectations away. Screen color is absolutely vivid, and great for creating vibrant work. Needs minor calibration to make colors in my digital work look nice without looking overly saturated, but they're otherwise incredibly vibrant and show up nicely on my smartphone and other friends' devices. The 1050 graphics card is also great at rendering visuals-light games as well - Forza Horizon 3 quickly overloaded the video memory, but my favorite Steam games (BeamNG.drive, Rocket League, Ori and The Blind Forest, Transistor without issue at all. My design programs (CLIP Studio Paint and Adobe Creative Cloud) run extremely smoothly on this laptop as well, with zero input lag and no struggling, even with massive canvases with high pixel densities. My included Active Pen's life was a little short lived, however - after 4 days of work, I believe I messed up its pressure sensitivity with my heavy handed pressure, and I felt something give inside the pen. It has difficulty picking up very lights strokes accurately now, so my pointy line style doesn't look as sharp as it could be (no pun intended). I tried a friend's Surface Pen to confirm if my pen's pressure sensitivity went funky, and I can pretty much say my Active Pen no longer works for extremely light or thin strokes. I may pick up a new pen to replace it and practice using a lighter hand for heavier strokes with adjusted pressure sensitivity, as I really like how the Active Pen felt when I made my first digital work with this laptop. OTHERWISE, the Yoga 720 is an incredible design rig, and Windows Ink and Wacom Feel truly make it a force to be reckoned with as a graphic artist's workhorse. Even some of my art friends love the way the pen felt on the screen, even with the broken pressure sensitivity. My only gripe is that the Active Pen is just not durable enough for heavy-handed people like me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does everything it should. I used a Surface machine before this, specifically for the pen input. This pen input (with Yoga Thinkpad X1) is just as good (I'm not qualified to know the intricacies of how it might be better). It writes well, and I don't notice any issues. Very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great addition to my work arsenal I enjoy using this pen much more than the built-in pen that comes with my laptop. The size of the pen is perfect for writing. The buttons on the side do not interfere with writing (unlike the small pen that comes with the laptop)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it does write on screen When it finally arrived it was not as impressive as I thought it would be. there is no place to attach pen. and points do not look sturdy enough to be used for lots of drawing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good pen, could be better. Likes: The weight of the pen very balance. Connects with my c730 without issue. Buttons have good feedback. Lines are pretty straight. Dislike: Wish it had rubber barrel for better grip. Wish it came with a pocket clip to keep it from rolling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart upgrade for your touch screen device Bought this after breaking my active pen 1 The tip cracked because I didn't notice it in the holder and bumpbed. Something I should not have a problem with with the new Active Pen 2. The holder is much more sleek and it gets the job done when I need to attach the pen to my laptop. I have a Flex 5 and this pen works amazingly on the very glossy shiny screen. It's very smooth writing but with more grip than the original pen which makes writing feel more normal and effortless. I find myself grabbing it all the time now. I love the way it moves over the screen and it is so much more responsive than my old pen. It's a great upgrade if you are looking for one. Great benchmark if you are not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome and huge improvement from earlier version The pen works super well. The holder that connects it to the laptop is a huge improvement to the former version. It also has less glitches. Overall love it. Only problem is that it covers the power button, which high key sucks because I use it in computer mode more than tablet, but I don’t want to move it because I KNOW I will lose it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pen not working I bought the pen for a recent Christmas gift and I can’t get the pen to write. It links with the computer and the button on the top of the pen activates the application menu, but can’t use the pen to write or point at anything as the computer does not recognize it. The setup instructions were awful so I am not sure if it requires additional setup or if the pen is flawed. Customer service was useless. Not sure where to go from here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improvement suggestions The pen is too easy to lose. The USB clip is unwieldy, threatens to break the port, and uses up the essential USB port. There should be a closable compartment in the IdeaPad or other tablets' bodies -- preferably with an audible warning if the pen is missing when you move the tablet to new location. Additionally the black color is less visible than other potential colors or patterns, increasing the potential for loss. The instruction manual is unclear regarding the coin-operated cover removal. Either make the drawing or the verbal instructions clearer that the slot resides under the spring. The apps or programs that use the pen extensively should be placed in a folder in the tablet's installed desktop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for taking notes but not for caligraphy It is a great pen. Would have preferred a rechargeable battery instead of replacing the AAA battery along with 2 round batteries. It is great for writing on my Yoga 730 laptop. I like it. It is smooth but would have preferred a a finer tip. There are extra tips and I have not really checked if they are different sizes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent Works well overall, but rolls too easily. I would have appreciated a clip or non-cylindrical shape to avoid the rolling. The non-round versions are either incompatible, unavailable, or lack the Bluetooth button on the end. Also it was slightly tricky and inconvenient to put the Bluetooth button's batteries in myself. I've bought a few other pens of this style from other brands and every other one had them preinstalled. If anyone needs to know, this pen is fully compatible with the Yoga Book C930.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for sketching Love this Pen! It feels really nice when sketching, and being able to adjust the sensitivity is great. I really appreciate the extra nibs that came with it. I really wish they would great an accessory pack that could be purchased as an add on option with different types of nibs. However, my single issue with this item is the mounting for storage feature. The collar fits over the pen and then inserts into a usb port. It doesn't fit 100% into the port, and it feels super flimsy and insecure. I do not use this feature because I am concerned the pen will be knocked out, and potentially cause damage to the port. I have a laptop bag that I keep it in when I am not using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Pen ! It works nice, but somtimes pal rejection is lost and cuts some lines or strokes. Do not get me wrong I would purchase this pen again. The cuts are small and not consecutive. It is not like the bamboo ink cuts off alot mor then a tiny stroke. Has functional buttons that you can customize. It is not magnatic so it dosen attach to the device you have to use the attachment. Really do not like the attachment to hold the pen but its practical when in class just to hold it in place. Sensitive i find it ok I am not an artist I bought it for mu doctoral degree studies and so far amazing. Also i am using it in a levono 2 in one think pad laptop.
