Stylist is find but the holder broke easily
I'm going to make this short and sweet the pen works as intended and does what I need to do. However, the pen holder broke in under a week, and luckily I was able to use tweezers to remove it from the USB port it got stuck in. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the holder that ensures I don't lose the pen.

Great pen so far.
I am excited to see what all I will be able to do with this pen. It works great with my ideapad Flex 5. I like having the usb slot holder and extra head. I am still trying it out and seeing what all I will be able to do with it.

Good but Constantly Disconnects
Good quality pen with the unfortunate problem of constantly disconnecting (where its nib isn't detectable with the top half still connected) and then randomly connecting at a different time. After spending an extensive amount of time researching the problem, it seems to be a common problem.

I am in grad school and this tool has helped me so much! I use it everyday and I love it! For any of the science subjects where you have to draw structures often it is so helpful! Now I don’t have a notebook and PowerPoint slides… just one condensed area which has made my studying way more efficient. Love love love

Very nice. For the price, the pen could be a little more accurate with the first touch on the screen. Thankfully, I got it on sale. The USB penholder is too big for my laptop; it prevents me from laying my keyboard flat on either side (my laptop is foldable), so that was disappointing.

When it works its great!
It turns off a lot while I'm using it and I have to repeatedly click the top button until it comes back on and it takes a while sometimes. Idk if there is something I am doing to make it turn off but it is kind of difficult when I am using it especially during time sensitive events where I need to be able to quickly jot down info. I had thought maybe it was dying but I know the battery is fine because I have only had it for a few weeks and the lenovo app displays the battery on my task bar. However, when it works, its great to have and does what I need it to!

I use this pen almost daily for note-taking and it's great! One of the best ones I've used on a computer. It's easy to hold and has 3 programmable buttons, which are very useful. The pen holder that comes with it has been a game-changer since you can insert it into any USB type A slot and have a place to store your pen. I can't comment on battery life since it hasn't run out yet but so far so good.

Used on a Lenovo yoga c930 laptop. Lasted three years being the only pen I used in college. The top button on it broke off though after a bit less than a year, it's just sorta held in with tiny plastic clips.

Effective, firm response
Works great for my Yoga 16" i5 Evo laptop (2022). So far, no complaints, especially for the price (paid $30). I also tested the Wacom Bamboo 2nd gen, but preferred the stiffer feel of the Active Pen 2. I use it primarily for taking notes, and it seems to work better with Windows Ink for marking up PDFs. But if you're going to be using it primarily for painting, or writing in cursive, you might wanna go with something with a softer touch.

Easy to set up!
I recently purchased the Lenovo Active Pen 2 along with my laptop. I found it a piece of cake to set up and works very well with the touch screen. No issues so far! I really like the USB attachment which allows me to store the pen with my laptop - I had a similar pen with my older laptop but kept losing it and finally gave up on using it as it was never handy.

Works well. Hasn't missed a pen stroke like some other pens I've used. I like the button at the top too, it's a handy feature. The only potential downside for me is it requires 2 different types of batteries if you want to use the button feature. For me this isn't a concern, but it might be for someone else. Hope this helps!

I bought the Active Pen 2 for drawing and partially as as novelty. I did not realize how useful it would be for general use.
I like to play Microsoft Jigsaw and using the pen instead of MX Ergo Trackball is unbelievable.
When I purchased it I thought the pen holder was a waste, was I wrong. It provides a safe place to keep the pen handy at all times. It also makes it harder to lose. I don't even mind having one less usb port.
The pen is not a novelty, it is a very useful tool. I am spoiled now, I don't think I will be able use a computer without one.

I tried a generic stylus first and it didn't work at all, but the Lenovo Pen worked great. Definitely get the pen specific to your computer or tablet so it can Bluetooth pair. The USB pen holder is a nice touch too. I use it all the time for taking notes in class and editing pdfs.

Software support sucks out of the box, had to install 3rd party software just to get the features advertised to work. Stylus started malfunctioning 2 months into use, and broke completely in an unrelated way a week later. Customer support is terrible, offered to replace it under warranty....estimated time of arrival 4 months.

Works well with Thinkpad X13 Yoga. I've only had it for a couple weeks, so not sure how long the battery will last but going strong for now. I flip my Thinkpad a lot to write on it like a tablet and the pen holder does not let it lay flat, so just keep that in mind if you want to use the pen holder. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the pen. I use it to write notes for school. I think it is a lot comfier to write with than the stylus that comes with the laptop.

Pen - Good, Battery - BAD!!!!
I love the natural way this pen feels when writing with it. BUT!!!!! I don't know what to do with the batteries. no matter what kind and quality of batteries I put in it, the pc shows me after an hour (or max - a day) - "Pen Battery Low" notification. makes it impossible to use!! I'm really suffering from this now, regretting buying Lenovo Yoga computer and pen.

Broke Before Assembly
Bad quality, too many pieces, broke almost immediately. The instructions were terrible. This is the 4th pen I’ve owned for touch screen PCs and it’s by far the worst quality. Never even got it assembled completely before pieces broke. Worst of all it was a gift.

It's like pen and paper
The pen feels good in your hand when writing, almost like a regular pen which is very nice. It's not too bulky, heavy or too light. The weight and the smoothness with which it glides on the screen (without any scratches too which is important) feels almost like writing on paper.

The battery position inside the pen is on the opposite side of the stylus tip. This makes the pen balance weirdly while writing and makes my writing horrible.
It disconnects randomly. Quite disappointed.

This pen has been great; I like the size and the feel when I write on my computer. It has a lot of nice features including a snipping tool which is very convenient for me. The only thing I wish it had is an on/off button because I don't want the battery to die faster. Besides that, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Didn't even last 4 months . . .
I bought this pen on 7/30 of this year (2022) for my new touchscreen laptop. I wanted to use it to draw. Dreams crushed. A couple of months in the pen would randomly stop responding to the computer and I would have to stop what I was doing and wait for the pen to work again. Not even a month later, parts started popping off and I would put them back on, but eventually, the entire pen just fell apart. Customer service also said that (even though it didn't last 4 months) physical damage (it literally fell apart) would not be covered in the warranty and that I will just have to purchase a new one. I am very disappointed in this product, and won't be buying it again. Take this as a warning and don't buy this product. I will be finding an alternative.

The pen flows well, is responsive, and is hefty enough to feel like a real pen. However, it regularly disconnects or stops responding when in use. Lenovo had no pens that are truly compatible with the newest Yoga 7i, so I guess this is what I get for buying a pen that isn’t explicitly compatible.

The pen is perfectly compatible with my IdeaPad Flex 5, and I was surprised to find that it exceeded my expectations. As a student who plans to take notes on my laptop using this pen, I will need a screen protector since the tip does tend to scratch my screen. But features like palm rejection and pressure sensitivity are exceptional and accurate--perfect for handwritten note-taking!

Intuitive, but malfunctions frequently
I've been using this pen for about 2 years. While I like the intuitive feel and customizable buttons, it malfunctions frequently. Even after I recalibrate it and change the battery, it still scribbles everywhere when I try to draw even a simple straight line. It also breaks easily - mine fell on the floor and the top cap part cracked and I'm now having to hold the pen together with tape.

Like a pencil. Fun to write with and draw. Some issue would be the rubber makes it a bit hard to write at some points and it’s a bit sensitive. Either way, it gets the job done.

Falling apart
I bought this Pen for my think pad and I have had it about a month and it has been a pain to actually use. the end that holds the small watch batteries literally will fly of while I am working. It also goes through batteries like crazy. I'm calling into tech support tomorrow to see if I can have it replaced. When I can get it to work it seems like it would be an ok product but as of now I want to snap this pen like a classic yellow #2.

Great pen!
Got the pen for a Thinkpad. Works well and is the best pen I've used so far. Battery lasts an extremely long time, and it writes and draws very well (I use for drawing primarily). For the price, it's the best pen that's compatible with my computer that I've found.

Writing is a lot smoother and the handle is less slippery than previous models. I dislike that the cap easily loosens and so it stops writing sometimes. I have to tighten it for it to work again. The tip is "softer" which makes me feel better about my computer screen.

Harmony with a Lenovo i7 Yoga
We use this with the i7 Yoga. To move up to a computer where the pen was included would have been a jump in price, so we decided to go with the separate pen. Aside from a convenient location to store the pen (I do not like the current solution supplied with the pen) it is a wonderful addition to the computer.
I believe this to be a good solution because much of the literature shows the Active Pen II to be a much more comfortable writing instrument than pens included with the higher end laptops. It does feel like an actual pen. We have not had problems with resting our hand on the screen while trying to write with the pen similar to how one does with a pen and paper.
The pressure sensitivity is quite interesting. I was not expecting it to be this good! However, as a natural skeptic, we will see how this lasts throughout the life of the pen.
So far, we are very pleased with the integration with the MS office programs including Excel (awesome for zoom meeting) and One Note.
At first, we thought this purchase was rather frivolous, but after using it for a while, we have found more and more uses that cannot be substituted with a finger or mouse.

Great addition for notes in college courses
Works excellently, easy to set up. My only issue was with touch screen interference when my hand grazed the keyboard. Would recommend for smaller devices and perhaps using the box the product came inside as a case rather than the actual pen holder, as it would prevent damages while transporting everything.

The first time I bought one it for broken from the top barrel button in less than 2 weeks! While I was taking it out of the pen holder the top flew away!! Now I am not able to use it. It’s been a while now and I am in a need of a pen and I don’t recommend it.

Lenovo Active Pen 2
This is the second pen I've bought for this laptop and I love it. Unfortunately, the first one got mangled in my laptop bag during travel. Now, I keep it in a safe spot in a pencil case. The pen helps keep my screen clean and I've really found it more helpful than a mouse. This time, I've familiarized myself better with the capabilities of the pen and I'm finding it very useful. My best advice? My biggest piece of advice: Don't put it in a laptop case when transporting the pen. It is more fragile than it appears.

Decent enough but not very smooth
This pen is decent enough at best. I don't know if it's that the tip isn't all that smooth or something on my laptop screen is rough (yes, I've cleaned both), but that friction makes it hard to write cleanly. Also, having two types of batteries seems unnecessarily complicated. If there were other options I would have shopped some more but this seems like the only choice.

Pairing Issues
I bought this about a year ago - barely used it and now my yoga 7i just doesn't recognize the pen. It says the pen is paired with the laptop on the task manager but it doesn't really show anything on the screen when I try to write with it. Even when it worked, it always took awhile to recognize the pen so I might look into a different option. Other than the pairing issue, the pen's nice.

Broke within 2 seconds of unscrewing
I just bought this, and opened it up to put the batteries in. i realized i put the battery in the wrong way after screwing it closed and when i tried to open it again, part of the top disconnected from the screwy part at the bottom, wouldn't stay on again, and made it impossible to unscrew the bottom part (as you're supposed to unscrew them both together and disconnect the two parts once it's off of the main pen part. Needless to say i will be returning it.

Decent For 1.5 Years, Then Begins To Malfunction
I got this pen with my YOGA laptop around two years ago. I have used it a LOT since then, probably more than the average user. It worked wonderfully up until about December 2021 (1 year and 5 months after purchase). The issues I have been having since are as follows:
- When drawing the stylus will cut out often, making it nearly impossible to draw a continuous shape for more than a fraction of a second
- Sometimes a lot of pressure is required for the laptop to recognize that the stylus tip is touching it. This is for sure a problem with my stylus, since a friend's stylus (ThinkPad Pen Pro, practically brand new) works completely fine.
- The part that you can remove to replace the AAAA battery no longer remains screwed in as the threads have worn out
I suggest another, longer lasting stylus for heavy use.

It was difficult to find a pen that stated it would work with a Yoga 7i. This one does work even though the sales data is silent on the 7i. It functions better than the first pen that I purchased. I would buy again.

I bought this pen in January of 2022, and it has been nothing but trouble. It will stop writing and look like it's still connected but not showing on the screen. Several other users have been having issues and discovered the spring doesn't always engage the battery. I am constantly having to unscrew it, stretch the spring, the screw the end back on. Sometimes the pen gets hot. The outside of the portion that unscrews easily comes off. Like I try to unscrew it or screw it back on and the outer layer just spins. I'm a student, and I am constantly having problems where I cannot write notes during lecture. For as much as I paid for this pen, I expect it to work. I'm back to my old pen because I can't use this one anymore. It is not worth it. Save yourself the trouble and get a different pen.

Not compatible with touch screens.
There were a couple of problems with this pen. The main one is that it did not work as a stylus for my IdeaPad, despite being told by the Lenovo sales rep that it would. If you are intending to use this as a stylus, you need to make sure that your device can support it. I'm sure it would work fine for a tablet. The other big issue was the use of two teeny tiny batteries in the eraser side of the pen. The threads for the compartment with the tiny batteries was very thin and looked like it would be very susceptible to cross threading and galling. Most pens of this nature use a AAAA battery, which this also requires. Not sure what the extra little ones are for. The weight and balance were fine. And the little clip to hook into your computer serves its purpose well, so long as you don't need any other USB devices. In the end, I went to another online shop and got a standalone graphics tablet for less money. Not ideal, but it will have to work.

Not quite responsive as other brands I am used to.
I bought the Yoga 9i early this year. It came with a built-in active pen, but it is too slim in my hand, and the pen did not respond as quickly as the MS Surface pen I am used to. So I decided to get a new pen. However, I was having difficulty finding a compatible pen with my laptop because the laptop was too new and no one in the Lenovo sales department knew which one worked with the computer. Finally, one sales rep was brave enough to recommend this Active Pen 2. Once I started using it, there was no difference in responsiveness as the built-in pen, so the pen registration lags a bit, but it fits in my hand very well. I may want to try some other pens once Lenovo gets their act together and know which ones can be used with this laptop.

Small Discription of Actve Pen 2 for Yoga.
I didn't set up the Bluetooth yet in the pen. But the pen is nice and longer than my active pen that came with the Yoga A940 All in one Workstation. I wish the pen had a little more weight to it compared to the one that came with Yoga A940. Putting in 2 smaller batteries in the top for Bluetooth was very difficult. Instructions confused me you need a dime or penny to open batteries space. All and all nice pen works as advertised.

Unbelievable, the User Directions are insane.
I purchased this Lenovo Active Plus Pen that is claimed to have over 4000 functions. Guess what, the direction for is are Microscopic an in more Languages than I need. Why, can't they make the direction Font larger, I paid enough for this thing. I have had it 2 weeks now and haven't even used it. I am so mad about the Small and Lack directions.

It’s the best on the market…it’s a small market.
The designs of the usb holder is bulky, but functional. I can’t have the stylus and the charger “plugged in” at the same time very comfortably on my Yoga i940. As far as the tech is concerned, it is very compatible with my 2-in-1 laptop and I love not taking with it (after putting a screen cover on, of course. I wish that there were more accessories made for the pen, like a silicone grip or comfort grip and maybe a different way to attach to the USB port. Otherwise, it does it’s job very well.

Not bad, couple of small issues.
Enjoyed using the pen. Length feels great and feels pretty decent writing. It's nowhere near pencil and paper, but it's something you'd gradually get used to.
However there are a few problems I am noticing, most notably the buttons and the connections. I will accidently hit the buttons way to much, but like the consistency of writing, it's something you get used to (being more conscious of them. They were much much better than the first pen since those buttons were so light and I basically had to program them off. The other issue is connecticity. For some reason, my pen has a tendency to completely disconnect itself ever since I got bluetooth working on it. Pressing button 3 (where the eraser would be) fixes it temporarily until it disconnects again. I took out the batteries and put them back in and now it hasn't disconnected yet. Fingers crossed.

I purchased this product a few months ago and honestly regret it at this point. It worked for a time on my Lenovo Yoga C740, but then the laptop completely stopped picking up the pen. When I touch it to the screen, the laptop only senses a "touch," as though I am tapping with my finger on the screen, rather than the pen. OCASSIONALLY, it starts randomly working like new and it feels like a blessing, but then it stops again! When it did work properly, it worked as well as I had hoped and expected and the money did not feel wasted, but now it does. I have tried changing batteries, reconnecting bluetooth, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, updating software, changing the pen tip, and restarting my laptop, all to no avail. There was no damage inflicted on the pen either, the problems just seemed to randomly appear. With the expense, I would have expected the product to work for more than a couple months with less than frequent use! I wanted to use this during my next semester of school to take notes, but alas. It did not even last the summer.

Feels like a real pen
The Lenovo Active Pen 2 (LAP2 is designed like a true pen in terms of size and feel when holding it. The LAP2 uses an AAAA battery and 2 small coin batteries (all supplied) but I would have loved to have a rechargeable pen instead. It was super easy for the laptop to recognize the pen and it is so easy to use that it's my true handwriting that displays. The size however is the only difference I have noticed in it's functionality with the garaged pen that came with my Yoga X13 laptop. I wonder why the garaged pen could not be bigger.

Top button is breaks EASILY and can't be replaced
I bought this product in early March and at first I was fairly happy with it - although it sometimes turns off/becomes unresponsive while using....but I can click the top button and it works fine. UNTIL the top button gets bumped and the tiny plastic arms that keep it clicked into the pen start to break. Now it's July and I have been using the pen at most a few times a week, I always store it carefully in my laptop bag, and after a small crack appeared in one of the arms I reached out to Lenovo to see if I could buy a replacement button before it broke off completely and the button became unusable. I called 4+ times, always getting the answer that no, I need to buy a whole new pen. Which I don't want to do because i just bought the pen 3 MONTHS AGO. I have been carefully caring for the pen hoping that the button won't break off completely, but since it's such a flimsy part, there's no way to store it and take it with me anywhere without it getting jostled around. It is now completely broken off and Lenovo tells me the only thing I can do is buy a new pen. I am extremely dissatisfied with the product and with customer service.

Needed a Pen for a Yoga Smart Tab Tablet, and it didn't have any suggestions. Another user suggested this and it connects and works well. There were some issue where you hold it at a slant, but straight on, it works great. Need to buy more of these for the other 9 tablets I have until they come out with one specifically for Smart Tab.

I bought this three or four months ago to go with my Yoga (which I love). Almost immediately I started having problems. It skips. I have changed the batteries and the tip. The pen seemed to work for a few hours and then right back to skipping. I bought the Active Pen (the first one) from Amazon for $28. It is not a smooth as the Active Pen 2, but it works! I wasted $75. Just know that if you buy one, you could get a....LEMON!

I installed the batteries, which included 2 insanely small flat batteries that were quite difficult to install due to their size, used it twice and the cap started to feel loose. Now the "groove" that hold the cap onto the body of the pen wore down and the battery sping pushes the cap up. The cap will not stay on the body of the pen. Total of 3 hours of very light use and the pen has fallen apart. Sending it back. Very disappointing.

Good active stylus pen but a little pricy
The Lenovo Active Pen 2 with pressure sensing is quite helpful for arts and drawing, and it worked well with my Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 laptop. However, the pen is a little pricy in my opinion.

Works well for the most part, but when I’ve tried to use it with Krita the lines come out clunky (less smooth than compared to just using my finger). I also wish there was a way to fully turn the Bluetooth off to conserve battery life.

The way of storing the pen in the USB gets in the way and feel cheap, the product is great and I love it but now it's rolling around in my backpack because I don't want to use the USB thing to hold it.

Great Pen for Hobby Digital Art and Office Work
Excellent pen for hobby digital drawing and painting. I have used various digital input media before for digital sketching and artwork software (Wacom tablets, etc. and this is as smooth as anything. There is a tiny bit of lag sometimes where it feels like the pen tip and line are not aligned, but that might just be my impression. I would imagine that you would want to use a different tool for serious professional work, but this is great for personal projects.
I would also add that, like the garaged pen you'll get in several Yoga PC models, you'll find this pen very helpful for opening quick programs and making annotations on documents. As a working professional, that's a huge time saver and really simplifies a lot of small processes around the office.

Too Slippery
The pen feels very slick (slippery) in my hand, so it is sometimes difficult to wield. So far I have not been able to get it to work well with common art programs and there is a delay in pressure detection. If pressing hard then immediately light, the light stroke is ignored. I'm still uncertain if this is a configuration error (driver/setting/etc.) or a pen problem, but it never happened with my Wacom tablet.

You need a pen like this if you want to take full advantage of the yoga’s touchscreen. It takes some adjustment to take notes and use the pen consistently and I’m still learning. It doesn’t feel 100% like you’re writing on paper but it’s pretty close. I think it’s great and am excited to get better at using it.

So far so good... but...
The pen 2 is better than pen but it has a couple of things I dislike: a delay in the screen when writing and the buttons sometimes are pushed when you are writing then is creating command.
I had to buy a new pen which is not included with the computer.

Works well, but not to well built
Having had a Bamboo Pen for another laptop, I got the Active Pen 2 for my Yoga, while it works great as a pen would work for the touch screen, its construction is quite lacking. After only 2 weeks of use, the button on the top popped off. The tabs that hold it in place seem to have cracked from just simple use. I had to put tape on the button to hold it on the pen otherwise it falls right off and trying to find that little thing on a dark carpet can be near impossible. For the price that they charge for this pen, you would think that it would be built better. Now, I have been waiting for over a week and still don't have any confirmation of an RMA and the replacement they are supposed to send me. So at this point, I don't really recommend this pen, however, I tried to use my old Bamboo pen, but for some reason while the pen is able to pair with the Yoga, and I installed the correct drivers, only the buttons work, the pen part which uses the exact same tips doesn't activate on the screen which I really don't understand. I am hopeful that Lenovo will address this problem and send me a replacement soon, I am doubtful that will happen.

It doesn't work with my yoga, so I'm just going to Hope I win a new yoga 3 by performing this review. It looks very good is lightweight and easy to sync via Bluetooth however until I win this yoga 3 for doing this review I won't know how well it performs when pen touches screen

Good product, works as designed
Works well for what I need it for - occasionally digitizing handwriting, alternative to touch when on airplane. The pen is comfortable, although it is a bit slippery. I have yet to use the buttons extensively on the pen.

Good Pen
I do like this pen! It has good sensitivity and can even be customized in the Windows settings on the computer. You can use it everywhere I've tried too, from Microsoft Office to even the Sticky Notes (which I was surprised about) I would definitely recommend getting this with whatever tablet/computer that is compatible with it (I got mine with the Yoga 920) It is worth it and enhances the experience for sure. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because NOTHING compares to the Apple Pencil! That thing is just insane and so high tech--I feel like they thought of everything with that product.

Good little pen
The sensitivity of this pen is great. I haven't had any issues with it while using my lenovo 730 15" besides sometimes it will randomly disconnect, but if you press the button on the top it reconnects itself. I believe it was caused by a bad windows ink update as once I updated software that issue corrected itself. Just make sure the software is up to date and it should be fine.

No lag and it writes exactly where you put it on the screen. Works on the included app but also works well with the downloadable Microsoft whiteboard app too. As a teacher, I can use this on my yoga and still walk around and monitor the kids too.

DOA - Dead on arrival.
The bluetooth works fine and links the pen to the Miix720 perfectly. However the main pen itself is Dead on Arrival. After talking things through with Lenovo tech support, they sent me a 19 page guide .pdf for the device which turned out to be the install guide instructions for the whole laptop,1 page of which was the pen instructions being the same as the paper version in the box on how to install the batteries. These instructions are not entirely clear, as they state to "Insert the battery by matching the + and - terminals on the battery to the + and - terminals in the battery compartment." there is no indication inside the barrel of the pen as to what terminal goes where... For sanity sake, we've tried it both ways and neither works. Further unlike the other pictures of pen stylus devices this pen does not come with a clip either, it's simply a cylinder with no way of securing it in a user's pocket. The only way of storing it is by the USB mounted pen holder. A clip at the top of the pen would have been nice.

Inconsistent and Frustrating
Pen was used with a Lenovo Yoga for drawing. Pen was bought 8 months ago to replace a lost Bamboo Ink pen. Since then, one of the cheap plastic legs that holds the top button has broken. Regardless, the pen still worked for a bit... Now it will stop and start working at random. After wasting my time on the community forums all I've found out is that many other people have this problem and some temporary fixes. At this point I've given up on troubleshooting and trying to find a permanent fix. The pen is great when it actually works, which seems to be at random. To make matters worse, I can't even register the device as the website fails to register the serial number.

Enhances Your Touchscreen Experience
The pen is a wonderful accessory that really enhances the experience of my touchscreen laptop. It can be used as a mouse in some applications which is very convenient for me., The pen is very responsive and feels like writing with a real pen which is serendipitous! You have the option to assign shortcuts to different apps or actions which is also helpful. My cons with the pen are, I find myself hitting the buttons which was very annoying so I disabled them.

This pen was pretty easy to connect to my laptop. Adjusting the settings to my liking was also fairly easy. The pen is pretty 'accurate' on the screen and there's no weird 'shaky' lines. I really like its sleek design and the USB pen holder is pretty handy.

Easy to use, responsive pen
I bought this pen for my yoga 730.
Pros: Paired instantly with the notebook, no drivers needed. The pen is responsive and accurate. Great for taking notes in OneNote. Easy to use in other apps, like Paint, and Adobe graphic applications. Feels great in hand. Not cheap at all.
Cons: The tip is not long enough when you first get it. Using the tool that came with the pen, pull out the tip a bit, so it feels more natural. No clip or way to store the pen with the device (notebook, laptop). If it had a pen clip, that would be a step forward.

This was of hard to put together. I mean it wasn't anything impossible, but I just sort of expected it to be ready to go and the assembly is a bit weird. I was worried I was going to break the spring trying to press it down with a coin. I just would be interested to see if there was an easier, better system for at home assembly.
Also, I'm not a big fan of where the buttons are on this pen. When I hold the pen to write, I sometimes press the buttons.
Overall this pen is just okay. I mean it does allow me to write on the screen of my Lenovo Yoga. But it's not especially great or helpful.

A Great Tool for Getting the Most of the Yoga
The Active Pen truly allows you to make the most of the Yoga 920's extremely responsive and beautiful screen. While using the pen is fairly intuitive, I did have some difficulty setting it up, as it requires two different sized batteries. However, I would definitely recommend this pen to anyone who plans to take advantage of the Yoga's touchscreen.

I love this pen! It was a really easy set-up process, it stores right next to my laptop, and it's really lightweight. I'm left handed and had that option in the set-up to select which hand. The pen has easy quick function buttons to keep me moving freely while in use.

Great Pen. Although it has started to cut in and out after 1 month of use. I like it a lot more than the Wacom Bamboo, it's longer, round, made out of metal and not the soft touch junk that rubs off of the Wacom Bamboo after less than 1 year of use. Doesn't do well with the connected features in Adobe.

Saw a lot of conflicting information about whether or not it would work with the Yogo c940. Just took a risk and purchased it. It sure works! The battery install is a bit confusing, but it worked out. This pen is so much easier to hold than the garaged teeny tiny thin one my laptop came with. Drawing is wonderful!

Awesome. The top button has multiple usages. Open One Note with single tap, takes screenshot and puts it into One Note with a double tap. While using PowerPoint, it goes to next slide while using the top button. There is one button for erasing and one for selecting. The USB stand is extremely helpful

I end up accidentally clicking the button too often. The pen is rather tedious & tricky to assemble. The holder takes up a USB port but doesn't actually charge the pen. Not all Windows 10 drawing apps handle the pressure sensitivity well. Overall this pen has a long way to go to be worth its $75 MSRP. For $20, I wouldn't complain as much.

It's a great pen, I really enjoy it, however setting it up is odd since you need to use a coin to unscrew the top part, but other than that set up is easy. The pen works great with pre-installed software and Photoshop after configuring it. Would recommend.

Bought 2 of these for 2 Yoga 720 12" tablets I got for a friends children. The pens work very well in Windows10 and UbuntuStudio 16.04. The kids love the laptops and the pens. And I have the pen also for the 720 15" and I love it too. :-)
I only wish the battery was rechargable and dockable, like the X1 Yoga... I bought some AAAA rechargeable batteries though, we'll see how they last.

Overall great pen, but still a little slippery
I like the pen overall, writing and drawing well. However the buttons on the pen sometimes get pressed by mistake when I’m holding the pen a little bit tight. Writing on Yoga feels slippery compared to writing on paper. Happy with purchase.

I love the feel of this pen in my hand, it feels sturdy and nice quality. I also like that it includes a holder and extra tips. The pen itself works nicely. I also like that the little cursor shows up on the screen without even touching the pen to the screen. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase

Essential part of my kit
I lost one of these while traveling. It was a no-brainer to get the same as a replacement. Pressure sensitivity, tip size adjust, convenient clip to attach to USB (so no more loosing it!). Use it in both tablet and laptop modes with my Yoga 730-15.

The sales person said it came with a "garage" I am not sure what that means, and could be those extra pieces you see in the picture, I am not sure what to do with those pieces. the Pen mouse works great though!

Great pen!
The pen is great. It accurately picks up all of the strokes, and I am able to use the pen to take hand written notes and complete math equations.
My only complaint is that the USB clip takes up the only USB A port on my laptop (Yoga 7i, but this isn't a functionality issue of the pen.

Fantastic Pen, few drawbacks
I was pleasantly surprised with how well this pen works. works really well with Krita. After installing the official driver for the pen so I could assign button functionality the sensitivity and functionality of the pen actually got ever so slightly worse (more jitter when drawing straight lines. The only suggestion I would make for the next version of the pen would be that the top button also scrolls and be programmed as a scroll wheel, volume up/down or controls the radial menu. I.e. the button press on the top brings it up and rotating the button moves the selection around the radial menu and button press again confirms the selection.
This laptop works great with Virtual DJ and other DJ apps too. absolutely fantastic and I can even scratch using the touch screen (but not very well) touch controls plus a midi controller enables access to more software attributes without having to attach another controller.

Dead battery or waste of money.
Does not work. The top part works to click. The bottom part to draw does not. Waiting for new batteries to arrive to see if that helps. Lenovo should send newer batteries if that is the case. Now I have to wait more time for the batteries to see if this 72$ pen will work. I needed it for work to sign off on things during the Stay At Home orders for work.

Best stylus ever
Love this stylus! I lost the first one and tried a generic $15 stylus, and it was awful. Had to reorder another ActivePen 2. Thank goodness I caught a sale period, but it's worth every penny. Best feature (besides the way it writes are the 2 grip buttons. Saves time and sanity to erase - just press to erase, and release to return to your writing. The 2nd button is programmable, but I haven't messed with that yet.
I highly recommend this. One million stars (yes, really).

While the connectivity is sometimes shaky on third party apps, it works amazing on one note for almost handwritten notes. When it fails to connect move the pen away from the screen then place it back.

I got this to go with my Lenova Yoga laptop. I use it almost exclusively for college. I type my notes into PowerPoint and when I need to draw or write a calculation I do it on a new slide. The pen is great to write with and easy to use.

The Pen = Yoga Essential (sorta ~;-)
Not meaning to say it's required, but touch screens and active pens go together like cookies and milk (despite Windows ~;-)
Despite being legally blind for quite some time, I seem to be forever (re)adjusting, and look so closely at touch acreens that my nose becomes my stylus. Handy as this can be when I'm holding coffee? No nose is nearly so extremely precise as the Active Pen 2.
Not supporting Linux environments, or open source, will never get Lenovo my fifth star, but this is a high quality accessory, that is well integrated and highly functional in minutes.
My mistake, for those in my shoes? I thought that higher pixel counts wouldn't matter, imagining that greater graphics capabilities would be wasted on me, but the opposite seems to hold true: Any increases in contrast, color or clarity you can get will be helpful. (Blaze orange has become my favorite color.)

Worth the price!
This is one of the higher quality pens. It’s comfortable to hold, not too big or small, writing with it is smooth and the three shortcut buttons make it easier to use. It comes with extra nibs, batteries, and a very useful pen holder that goes into the laptop’s USB port. It’s compatible with my Yoga C740

I purchased this pen for my daughter who works with adobe photoshop and cricut and it works really well to clean up her projects. The only downfall was no instructions were in the package for set up. We had to look for a manual online to set up.

This is amazing pen with so much functionality. I got it for school to help with notes, but I had to return it since it wasn't compatible with my computer. Even though it didn't work with my computer I would recommend it to anyone after they check if its compatible.

This pen feels good in the hand and is very responsive. I have had this pen for about 3 months now and no problems. It is also nice that it comes with 3 extra tips because I hear that the tips break. Anyhow I have not had a problem with the tip breaking

Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Yoga C940 14”
I have a yoga c940 14” and this pen works great (even though I’ve seen some comments that say it’s incompatible). It is super easy to use and feels a lot more comfortable to hold than the garaged small pen. The installation was effortless - literally, I put the batteries in and it connected automatically! But, getting the batteries in was a challenge (the only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars). First, there are no instructions, so I had to find a YouTube video to figure out where I’m supposed to insert to tiny batteries (it may differ by pen, but it was extremely difficult to unscrew open that part of my pen (it is the bottom part of the top half of the pen after you unscrew it in half to put the AAAA battery)). Then, putting in the two super small batteries without getting them stuck sideways took a couple minutes as well but it wasn’t too bad (just not easy). The only thing I am worried about is battery life since I’ve heard it’s a lot shorter than promised. Can’t attest to that yet since I’ve had the pen for only a couple weeks now. I hope this helps anyone who’s considering this pen!

Great pen, especially if you plan to write a lot
I'm a grad student using my yoga laptop to take notes in class. I wanted something more substantial than what comes with the laptop and this pen is a great alternative. Its heavy enough to feel more like a real pen, and has a larger diameter than the laptop stylus to prevent hand cramping. Its also really easy to accidentally hit the barrel buttons (the buttons on the side of the stylus) with the stylus that comes with the laptop, but that's not the case with this pen (the buttons are still on the side but a lot harder to accidentally press). All in all a great option for if you plan to use your yoga laptop in tablet mode and do a lot of writing.

The Lenovo 2 Pen is such an awesome product for the price! I use it with my Lenovo C740 (14”) Touch-Screen Laptop, and it works fantastically to annotate and edit PDFs on One Note. It’s super convenient for students who want to conserve paper and save time taking notes. However, I wish it used a charger and wasn't battery operated to avoid having to replace the batteries every so often. Despite that, it’s a great product, and I would recommend it to those who are looking for a pen for their device.

I purchased a Yoga 920 notebook two months ago, and the Active Pen 2 came with it. I used to be a steadfast fan of pen-and-paper notetaking for classes, but this pen has revolutionized my note style! It's great for annotating and highlighting, and I can press my entire hand onto the screen without the bluetooth getting overwhelmed. Overall an excellent pen that serves me well for drawing, writing, highlighting, etc. Just have to make sure not to lose it since it doesn't have a clip!

It works but..
The pen works well. However, it may not be as compatible with the YOGA laptop at times especially for drawing. It may depend what program you use, for me I use PaintToolSAI so often times the pen would work and I'd have to press the button (on top of pen) to "recalibrate" to make it work again. Otherwise, for size and writing feeling, it's pretty good.

Why go with another?
I initially bought a Bamboo ink for my Yoga laptop. I did not like it but had bought it because it had been suggested to me. I immediately went to Lenovo's website and ordered the Lenovo Active Pen 2 and could not be happier. It feels like a real pen. It is responsive. I am very happy I decided to buy it.

Pen works great on Lenovo laptop. Does not need to be connected to blue tooth to start working. However Bluetooth connectivity to my phone did not give it the ability to write on my phone as was promised.

Active Pen 2...matching creativity to the screen
This pen compliments the Lenovo Yoga C740 perfectly. I first purchased the Yoga. Then after a few weeks I ordered the Active Pen 2 for my touch screen. It adds a new dimension of usefulness to the Yoga and I'm enjoying it even more now. The pen is precise and once you're used to the button features on the pen you can really make good use of your notes and drawings. I love it!

Excellent active pen
This pen is light weight and writes smooth. I had a little trouble going from a tablet to using this pen on a slick touch screen and would have liked a felt tip nib to be available to increase resistance during the transition period, but now that I’m use to it, it’s fine. The pen responds well and I get little to no parallaxing.

Don't repackage returns
This item was previously returned to Lenovo and repackaged - it was taped shut. Consequently, the instructions on how to use the pen were missing and I can't figure out how to load the tiny batteries. Very frustrating.

It feels just like using a real pen. It syncs perfectly and is great for all of the art that I make digitally. I would not use the USB laptop attachment because it is the reason my last pen broke. It weakens the end of the pen every time you slide it out of the attachment. Using the pen with the attachment on the end throws off the balance. Anyways, I am just going to keep my new pen in my art supply kit and use it just like all of my other tools. I am very pleased with the function of this pen and I hope to use it for years to come

Happy I spent the money!
I throughly enjoy my pen. It feels like I'm really writing and has great pressure sensing technology so you can see the different thickness of your strokes at different angles. The buttons are easy to press all there was a learning curve to writing with the buttons on the side. You can change the button functions in setting too. Definitely worth the money as I use it for notes in class.

The double click back button feature does not work well. I miss the back eraser functionality. Lenovo really needs to develop a better attachment method. Missing tilt functionality, hard to use for calligraphy.

A solid addition to the Yoga experience.
I think the pen adds a lot to the experience of owning a Yoga. Setting it up was easy. It has solid construction and more heft than the Wacom's Bamboo pen, but for extra control, if you draw and use design applications, you'll want to install the free Wacom Pen App which I found to be compatible with the Lenovo Pen. The pressure sensitivity in Photoshop is pretty good, but not quite as smooth as a Wacom tablet when angle sketching, but you also don't have to haul a tablet around and the pen costs a lot less then a Wacom tablet. It worked well with Windows Ink also. The USB pen holder is, I think, not the greatest solution as it runs the risk of hooking on something, but that's minor so I just keep the pen in my computer bag. Overall, definitely worth the cost.

The pen works great as expected. The button batteries were hard to insert during setup. The plastic pen holder that plugs into an USB port holds the pen so tightly that it pulled the clicky back button off. The extra pen tips and the tip extractor are great though.

Read the Fine Print, returns are a nightmare....
Mainly irritated that this was advertised as "for Yoga" and associated on the site with the new Yoga 7i I purchased . It is not compatible with that machine. You can find this out if you read through a few more pages of specs and compatibility. In 2020, if I order these two together from the manufacturer's website, I should get some kind of warning that they don't work together and (preferably) a suggestion for the correct pen. Tried to return the pen, could not do it 100% online, got a ridiculous runaround on the phone and bounced between departments. I found it does work on a very old Win Tablet I have, guess I am stuck with it as i was never sent the return label promised. Pen seems to function adequately on the old tablet. The pen holder is a complete hack, it basically blocks everything on the side of the laptop on top of the USB port it occupies. Overall, pen seems to function on compatible hardware, but a poor overall experience and polish is lacking vs something like the Apple pencil.

This has made taking notes so much easier. I've noticed a bit of pen lag over the past few uses but it was easily corrected with a windows update. Inputting the battery was also a process, but there were youtube videos that helped. Overall, no pen is perfect. This one at least checks a lot of the necessary boxes.

Lenovo Active Pen 2 Review
I really like my pen a lot however I am having issues where I would write something on the whiteboard app with my pen and the laptop will not register what I wrote. It's really weird. I would write something and it will not show up on the screen. It has a bad habit of lagging my handwritten work down. I'm not sure if it's because of my laptop's poor response to the pen, or if its the pen itself where it's not registering to my laptop's bluetooth. Again, I hope I could get feedback on how to fix this issue. I'd greatly appreciate it.

The Lenovo pen is great for writing quick notes in class and awesome if you like drawing as well! The only thing that is slightly bothersome is where the buttons are located on the pen.. it may just be how I write, but I keep pressing the bottom button and it interrupts my thought process. But overall it is a very handy tool!

Good for Virtual Teaching
I’m a math teacher and I use this pen while teaching virtually. It automatically synced with my Yoga720 and has made my job a lot easier. I’m often solving problems directly on my powerpoints. My favorite part, the side button on the pen turns on the erase function which saves me time from having to switch back and forth from pen to eraser then back to pen. Overall I’m happy with the purchase.

Lenovo Active Pen 2- So far, so good! =)
So far, so good. The pen glides pretty smoothly across my screen and accuracy seems good. I wouldn't mind a few more tip choices but again, so far, so good. The only other "con" I can say is that putting in the two two little batteries on-top of the AAAA battery was tedious and annoying, but my understanding is those don't need to be changed often at all. For now I would recommend this product and i'm happy with it....I mean, it but it's only been 2 weeks but I like it. I may update this later on if anything changes. Honestly I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could.

Great pen, holder needs work
Works very well. Writes smoothly and the variable pressure sensitivity is excellent. My only issue is that the pen holder takes up a USB port, one of only two in my laptop. Additionally, when in the holder the pen sits horizontally along the body of the laptop, which makes it difficult to comfortably insert and remove.
Overall the pen works very well, my only issue is with the included pen 'dock'.

Honestly loved it when it worked, a fabulous addition to my Yoga920. It was a little touchy when your hand was also grazing the screen as you wrote/draw/etc., but the pressure sensitivity was good and it made taking notes a breeze! You didn't even have to connect it via bluetooth (weird, but convenient zero set-up but once you did, you could easily change the button functionality. Unfortunately got very glitchy after a the warranty ran out (1 year) and would frustratingly spaz in and out of connectivity. A little while after the spotty connectivity, the top sleeve slipped up (pretty sure the end of a thread broke?) so you couldn't push the top button down. Material quality just wasn't great. Sad, but tech just doesn't last long nowadays.

I just received this pen recently, so truthfully I haven't used it for more than a few hours, but overall it is amazing! I feel that it has a pretty decent sensitivity level for varying pressures. It feels nice in the hand. I also found that my laptop (Lenovo Yoga C 740 does a pretty good job distinguishing between my hand resting on the screen when I use the pen and my fingers adjusting the zoom of the screen or scrolling. Overall, I would recommend this pen. I am a student and am looking forward to using it for studying and writing notes on documents.

A million times better than the cheap pencil eraser size stylus that is all but worthless. This pen is precise, extremely responsive and I LOVE the fine point making it easy to write and utilize. Bought a couple C740's for the kids for the virtual academy schooling. It is a little overkill for the classes, but the kids like to play games and they use the stylus pens for tons of art projects. The C740 provides a good mix of technology for the price.

Quite the nifty little "pen" for my Lenovo Yoga 730. I was surprised and pleased by the weight and feel of the pen. The batteries are a bit of a bear to install, but I like that I got to do it instead of hoping the batteries aren't dead from sitting in a warehouse. It was very easy to set up. Responsiveness on screen is very fast - I haven't noticed any lag at all. The side buttons are a bit fiddly - I find myself accidentally pushing them when I don't want to, and struggling to find the button to push when I do want it. I think it will be fine once I am used to the buttons, but only time and use will tell. It can be a bit of an annoyance, but not a deterrent to purchase. The holder is nice and holds the pen tightly without having to struggle to remove the pen. However, my laptop only has 1 USB port so I rarely use the holder unless I am traveling. This is more the laptop's fault than the pen (and I really like the laptop! As for purchasing direct from Lenovo, ease of checkout was standard, shipping was quick and package arrived without damage. The pen is packaged very well for retail. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the Active Pen 2.

Boy was I disappointed with my Yoga Active Pen 2. I had such high hopes not only because I am an novice artists but I am handicapped and find that there are times when I can't use a mouse and I could use a pointing device.
The 1st pen I received did not work at all but Lenovo made it easy to get a replacement. The second pen I received was a nightmare to get working. Using Windows 10 tablet mode was easy to pair using Bluetooth but I was only able to get the pen to work but only for a short while.
I've only have the pen for a week and only was able to try the pen twice and I am still hoping to get the pen to work. I am also disappointed that as of yet I cannot get the pen to pair in Windows 10 desktop mode. It would really be disappointed if it turns out that the pen only works in tablet mode not desktop mode.

The Active Pen 2 is well worth the money spent...
The pen has a great feel to it. That is important to me because I have used different stylus pens over the years and some felt as though they were too slippery or too textured. This feels like the Goldilocks of pens by having enough texture, without feeling like its military-grade.
The pen comes with many features that can be customized to your specific taste. This helps me use the pen in the fashion that best suits me.
The greatest compliment I can pay this pen is that my daughter--and Apple user with the accompanying stylus--was green with envy over my new pen for my Yoga tablet.

Great pen. It's taking some adjustment getting used to the pressure sensitivities. I would give it a 5 star, but the simple fact that it is battery powered and not rechargeable is its downfall.

I bought this solely for signing and annotating PDFs within the Chrome OS browser on my Pixelbook. The pen synchronizes easily and is very smooth when signing documents via the touchscreen. works great for what I need.

Nice Pen , but it's slippery like all Lenovo pens. No drivers support and there is no additional pen tips to buy in Lenovo store. I would like to see professional pen for digital art with tilt support, comfortable none slippery material.

Love the pen, but no off button?

Great Pen
The pen is great. The setup was confusing. Instructions said how to pair it but I never received a code on my laptop. The laptop found the device without me doing anything which was great. Only thing is I never tried it because the instructions said I would receive a code. I then tried it and found it works without going though all those steps otherwise I would have given it a 10. It is completely compatible with my Lenovo Yoga C740.

Great Pen!
This is a Great Pen! Smooth, comfortable. Feels nice in the hand. And it works great. Sketches are smooth and fluid. No jagged or wobbly lines on my Lenovo Yoga 940. Very nice and natural feeling. The instructions that came with it for the batteries are fine. But the information about the Wacom app to control the pen is bogus. The software is already on the computer and Win10 pen settings covers most of the options, and there is a link to more features, which gets me to the rest. There are some commenting on the fact that the Bluetooth batteries shouldn't be separate from the active pen battery -- one should suffice for all. Well, maybe so; or even better a rechargeable pen. But since that isn't how it works I can live with the design and enjoy the pen. So far it works great. Oddly the one thing I kind of which it had was a push on clip. On a normal pen the clip helps me to not rotate the pen in my hand (which for a digital pen is desirable as you want the 2 optional buttons to always be in the same place. So I put the "nearly worthless" USB plug clip on the pen and it works for keeping the buttons facing up. It just looks a bit odd. And a pouch or carrying case would have been nice, to protect the pen while I'm on the go. So I use the box it came in for now.

Makes touch scrolling easy without fingerprints
This has been a great tool for scrolling on web pages and clicking accurately. While I have not used it to draw anything, I find it a good way to use the touchscreen feature without getting fingerprints on the screen. A larger pen head (perhaps a removable fitting) would be helpful to make it easier to click what you want to.

Feels great in hand, writes like a nice pencil with some friction between the screen and the nib. Great pressure sensitivity and the programmable Bluetooth button is useful. If you are looking for a quality active pen, this is a great choice!

In your face Surface, this thing is Accurate AF!
This thing has surprised me at how accurate it was. I had tested a few other devices before making the jump. Yea the really expensive surface setups will work and do have good accuracy. At the end price was a deciding factor. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the exact same accuracy as I did on the more expensive models. I'm glad I bought this thing.

Marked improvement over original Active Pen.
I purchased this for my niece along with a C740 as a graduation present, as she is an artist. When I purchased the computer for some reason the Lenovo system only suggested the original Active Pen as an accessory, so I purchased that. I only later discovered the Active Pen 2 and ordered that as well. My niece says the second generation pen was a significant improvement.

Overall, I like the pen and it does its job fine. If you're planning on using more than one usb port, you can't use the pen holder which is annoying especially when compared to other smart pen designs like the Apple Pen 2. Also would have preferred a charging system as opposed to batteries. It's really gonna be a pain when those run out. Who even knew they made AAAA? The pen does its job well and feels good, but I wouldn't say its that great of a deal for the price tag; there really just isn't a quality alternative -- 3 stars!

Incompatible Device
The active pen was supposed to help me get the most out of my Lenovo yoga c630 but it was just an exercise in futility. The pen connected easily enough and the windows ink screen capture shortcut button worked fine but that was about it. The pen tip did not register with the screen, thus it was not able to write or even be used to check menu boxes. It was not compatible, I checked with a Lenovo customer assistant and they assured me it was the right pen...they misinformed me.

The pen is well built with great functionality. I dislike the placement of the bottom buttons (can be pressed accidentally) and the fact that it takes two different types of batteries instead of only one. The feel against the screen takes a little getting used to, but it provides some friction to resemble paper (doesn't really but the resistance is good for writing).

TERRIBLE QUALITY
I have the Yoga 720 and while I love the computer I cannot say so much about the pen. I rely very heavily on the ability to write and the pen cannot hold up to my demands. I have bought 2 in the past 10 months and both eventually stopped working unless I reconnect them to the bluetooth every 5 minutes. I have changed the batteries and pen tips and the only conclusion I can come to is that the internal hardware is faulty. Very disappointed and will be switching to a different brand with better reliability.

I really like the pen and it’s pressure sensitivity. The weight is nice for drawing too. I don’t think the instructions for putting in the batteries were included, but I found them online and they weren’t difficult to put in.

Meets expectations. Very responsive and adds to experince of using the Lenovo Yoga 740. I would have liked if it came with a bit more instructions, but I was able to figure it out. Also, inserting the batteries was a confusing and difficult process. However, after the initial setup the pen worked great and I've been thrilled with it.

Love this stylus
It’s a great stylus! I’ve been using mine to take notes for my classes, and it doesn’t bug very often, and because it’s bluetoothed with my laptop (Yoga 720), I can rest my hand on the screen while I write. I love it.

Works Great with Yoga C940
I am using this pen with my Yoga C940. It connects super well and I enjoy the writing experience (although for some reason it defaulted to saying I was left handed, which made the palm rejection a bit wonky until I realized it). My only complaint is that it runs out of battery pretty quickly for my use as a PhD student. However, it seems I just have to replace the AAAA one rather than the cells, so this is easily solved by just picking up some AAAA rechargables to have on hand at any given time. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase and will likely purchase another post covid to keep one at home and one at my work.

Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Yoga
Giving this four stars because it does not have a pocket clip and the TINY battery’s for the Bluetooth connection. I had a different computer and the Microsoft pen before getting this. I was a little concerned that it would not have all of the features that I was used to with the Microsoft pen. I have been pleasantly surprised that Lenovo Active Pen actually does much more than the more expensive pen from Microsoft. The Lenovo pen has many more features after installing and using the radial software giving it the ability to open and control any programs on the computer. The Lenovo pen is lighter than other pens and is close to the feel of a real pen. I would recommend the Lenovo Active pen to anyone that has to ability to use it on their device.

I bought this one pen along with my laptop and I couldn’t be happier. I have gone almost paperless because of this amazing pen. I enjoy writing my notes instead of typing so it’s been hard for me to go paperless. Now, I can write my notes on OneNote as if I would on paper!

Good product, useless pen holder
Pen itself is very good, but holder is totally use less. In order to use it you need to block your usb A port ( which lenovo in some laptops limited to one) and all other ports on that side of your laptop. It holds pen only in horizontal position, it does not have vertical option. I will be buying separate pen holder.

So far so good! I'm a teacher who decided I needed a pen to be able to grade exams in an online platform, so I bought this pen and have used it there and in Adobe Acrobat DC. I'm still trying to get my handwriting to look decent, but I'm getting there. The set-up was easy, and it connects immediately when needed.

I’ve tried other pens but it doesn’t compare to this one! I like that fact you can customize the buttons to your preferences and what type of work you’re doing. I use the pen to take notes in class because it saves me a lot of paper and it’s fun to write with! It writes smoothly and accurately. I debated whether the active pen 2 was actually worth the extra money. It 100% is- this pen feels great on screen amd in my hand.
The only thing i haven't been a fan of, is the little holder that goes in the usb spot. It doesn't feel that sturdy to me.

The pen works well, but I did have to install software to get it working, which I had beenunder the impression wouldn't be necessary. This was a little frustrating as was getting the pressure sensitivity set right. But now that it's all set up, it worls great for drawing! So much better than having to draw on a graphics tablet with no screen. Sketching has become much more like it was when I did only traditional media.

First off: this uses AAAA batteries - i wish it had a charging port instead. The setup and use is easy enough once you practice for a little bit.
Overall this pen helps me draw out difficult school concepts that would normally be wordy and hard to understand, so having it is a big plus!

I have just recently started using Yoga for work. It has been so intuitive and easy. It is a great cross between laptop and tablet. I really like the ease of the pen for notes.

Totally worth every penny
I'm a business student who mostly uses this pen for sketching a quick idea out in paint an touching the screen when I'm 3 inches too far away. The pen is fantastic for both of these.
The build quality seems to be good. It's made out of what appears to be a shell of aluminum to house the electronics. This makes the pen very, very, very lightweight.
The pen tip has been durable enough so far (I've used it maybe a month, and it comes with some spares and a handy little replacement tool, although I doubt I'll need them for a while. The pen glides across the screen well enough for my uses but if you're an artist, it may seem a little stiff or slightly inconsistent to you. Keeping the screen clean helps a lot with this. Another factor of this is probably the weight of the pen. It feels about as heavy as a BIC pen you'd get from a hotel. If you want something with a little more weight, I'd look elsewhere. It's not a big enough deal for me to take a star off, but it does bother me a little.
You can power the pen on, and connect it via bluetooth. This is how the pressure sensor and the buttons communicate with the computer. I usually keep mine turned off because the pen works just fine without turning it on, and I rarely use these features. Keep in mind it takes a AAAA battery (4 a's) (and one IS included in the box). I can't say anything about the battery life, I haven't had to replace it yet.
All in all, if you're a casual user like me, it's a great pen. It does absolutely everything I need it to do, and you can only be happy about that.

Good smart pen.
It is a very good smart pen, but its main drawback is it has not power off button. On the other hand, it works very good with my yoga 720 labtop.

The Active Pen 2 works amazingly well. I've used a Surface pen for my work machine and the lenovo active pen 2 is leagues better in my opinion. I had to update my computers wacom drivers for full functionality but it works like a dream in Autodesk Sketchbook

Write on your computer by hand
Just got the pen for my New Lenovo Yoga 720. Couldn’t be happier. I can write and draw by hand directly on my computer. Better than having a tablet.

Great Accessory; not for everyone's handwriting
Works well--slightly difficult to assemble (instructions included in the box are not the clearest) but once all the pieces are in the right place, no problems. The pen does not allow for angled handwriting--I write with a pen or pencil tilted at about a 45 degree angle--which is a but annoying, but it has been easy enough to adjust.

Change your view with the Active Pen 2
This pen changed the dynamics of my Yoga 900 in so many ways. As a road warrior I take my laptop everywhere but dont always want to use it as laptop and my fingers arent built right to work in tablet mode. Then the Active Pen comes along and changes all of that. I can take handwritten notes, use it as a mouse and navigate easily through my open pages.
A real game changer. Easy to connect via bluetooth, decent battery life. If your going to have a Yoga then use it like it was meant to be used, get the pen

Great Pen just needs to include directions
This was pretty great! At first I thought it didn’t work because its Bluetooth worked but it didn’t actually work on my screen. Yet, after changing the batteries it worked perfectly. My biggest qualm with this device was that it came with NO directions. I found a video on YouTube that helped me a bit but it was still super hard for me to figure out since I didn't have the paper directions in front of me. Considering this isn’t a turn on and go device I would ask Lenovo to include the directions. Your customers aren’t psychic and the batteries aren’t something you run into every day. Besides that it works very well on my Lenovo Yoga 720 and I’m super happy with my purchase. (I do also wish that it had a magnetic strip to connect the pen to my Lenovo Yoga 720 because I only have one usb slot so I can’t dedicate my pen holder to my only usb slot, but that’s an issue that doesn’t really bother me because I just carry it around in my laptop case.)

The pen has a great look and feel. I don’t like the fact I had to battle with how to insert the batteries. I had to do a lot of internet search before I realized the manual was in the last layer beneath the case of the pen. There was no sign to tell us where the operation manual was.

I use this pen regularly for notes in college courses. I have a lenovo Yoga 730 and it connected and worked perfectly. I would recommend this pen for anyone who is taking college courses and does not want to use the traditional "pen and paper" method of taking notes.

Perfect for use with Lenovo Yoga and taking notes
The Lenovo Active Pen 2 is perfectly compatible with my Lenovo Yoga 730. I never have connection issues or lag, and using it is just like using a pen to paper. I have difficulty keeping course notes organized and am currently enrolled in a doctoral program. Ever since I got the Lenovo Active Pen 2, that has no longer been an issue for me. I can keep all of my notes on my laptop in OneNote, and hand write them like I prefer to do. I love this stylus!

Perfect addtion to a gift
I bought this to add on to a graduation gift for my sister. I had also purchased a Lenovo Yoga C740 laptop and saw that this pen was compatible. She has started to use it for work and she said it makes things a lot easier for her. She is able to take notes, make notations on documents, as well as play games, and use drawing apps.

This pen work absolutely fine. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is I wished they would design it to where it was rechargeable and you don't the mess with two different kinds of batteries. Other than that it works just great!

not all Yogas are equal
I bought this pen thinking that it was made for my Yoga, but it wasn’t. I didn’t have any problem pairing it, just getting it to work after that. I kept looking at settings to see if I was doing something wrong and then I finally saw that my Yoga was not one of the Yogas that is compatible with this Yoga Pen. If anyone is thinking of getting this pen, check if it is compatible first.

A nice pen, but I've used nicer
This pen is ergonomic, weighted well, has nice pressure sensing, and seems to have good battery life (I haven't replaced batteries yet). It's biggest downfalls are it's mounting/storage and it's battery meter.
The battery meter is most likely able to be fixed with better/more accurate software (take a look at Logitech's SetPoint for mice and how it gives you the battery life in days as an option...this really helps gauge how much time you have left with the pen), so that is all I have to say about that.
The mounting option is poor. It comes with a plastic USB-A plug mount. I feel like I'm breaking my USB port Everytime I insert and remove it. Plus, the pen is always in the way sitting in the port. A much better design is multiple magnetic contact points on the laptop and the pen itself (see Microsoft Surfaces for a great example). Due to it being in the way so often, I rarely take it anywhere with me.

The new Lenovo Active Pen 2 is very good compared with other pens I used for Yoga 920, sensitive but not prone for errors, buttons on the pen are very convenient, and the pen just like regular pen when writing or drawing on the screen, no drag or slick, it is beyond what I had expected.

Active pen 2 works as advertised. Writes very well, similar latency to the built-in pen but easier to hold and more accessible buttons. Top button is a little hard to use but I got used to it. Pen holder is next to useless.

Bought it for my Le ovo Flex 5 which has caused more gruef than pleasure. This pen works well and im satisfied with the results. Find it works better than the first active pen that came with the laptop.
I'd recommend it for business (notetaking, white boarding, etc...) or casual drawing on programs like sketchpad. Even like using it for writing in windows word for tge ink feature. I missed writing pen and paper and this comes pretty close.

My hubby picked this up for me and I love it! My kids and I draw pictures for each other to guess, I make 'posters' for my home school room and it is great for keeping finger prints off of the screen. Fun to have!

This is my 2nd Pen. 1st pen broke after 3months. Just bought the unit for less than $40 so its useless to have the broken pen to send back and pay for shipping. But it is great pen to use.

I really like this pen, it’s super easy to use, no issues with it. It did take me a YouTube video to figure out where to put the mini batteries, but I think that’s more on me than the product itself

Nice pen for everyday use. Very reasonably priced. Easy to use and connect. My only criticism is the clip for the laptop. It was difficult to install the clip and not a convenient place to keep the pen.

I love my Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Yoga. Its the perfect addition to my flexible laptop. It makes marking up projects and maps and so much easier than using the built in program pens. I can flip my laptop so that its flat and draw on maps and other images.

Great pen no regrets!
I bought this pen almost a year ago and it’s been great very few issues and sometimes it doesn’t actually recognize that I’m writing or have it on the screen but like I said before that’s just because I’m left handed so my entire hand is sometimes on the screen but other than that the battery life is amazing and so is this pen
