Rated 5 out of 5 by from Necessary but bad design These are necessary to charge the laptop, but I wish the area where the cord meets the USB connector were designed better. It's not flexible at that point and the coating separates at the base exposing the wires. Also, they should offer the adapter without the additional 3-prong outlet cord at a lower price. I now have three perfectly good outlet cords for the one adapter. I've had laptops for 23 years and have not had this issue with any other brand or model. On the bright side, the Yoga is still going strong!

My original came as a 2 prong and this has 3 prongs so I did need to change out my extension chord used to plug it into. But it does the job and it is faster charging than the original. Very happy with the adapter and the recommendation from the employee who helped me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable and practical design I purchased this item to replace a compact AC adapter with a short cable that came with my Yoga 7i laptop. While the DC cord (on one side) is the same length, the AC cord (on another side) and power brick extends the total cord length by ~3 ft. Furthermore, It is much more stable when plugged in as it does not rest the heaviest part directly on the outlet you plug into. This means hitting it with your foot or accidentally tripping on the cable won't cause the most delicate and important part to fall to the floor. This item seems to have the same durable design as my 9 year old Thinkpad -- which still works. It is proven, practical, and more convenient for all the reasons stated above.

Had to replace the whole unit, as knock off's had the converter at a different place in the charging system than the Lenovo set up does. Also does make a difference if charger is 45W (noticeably slower than 65W. Anyway, now I have a spare for emergencies, but glad to quickly replace the faster unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two of these broke, only 30 day warranty One of these came with the Lenovo C930 I purchased for my wife. It lasted about two years before it broke. We got by sharing the Dell charger from my XPS 13 and that charger did the job (and continues to to this day. The second one lasted about a month and a half - just past the warranty date. Online support said they couldn't handle the request and sent me to the phone, who also said they couldn't handle the request. Thirty days just doesn't cut it for a return period, and the support worker told me "accessories aren't warrantied". This screams lack of confidence in the product and the performance of the product reflects that. I won't be purchasing another charger from Lenovo, which is a shame because the C930 has been a dream.

You do have to respect that processors can't get any faster without melting them but I still believe that this could have been compensated much more with proper airflow.

It's not magnetic and would essentially be so much more efficient this way. For our lenovo users, they love how light the charging adapter is, taking up minimal space in their laptop bag or on their desk. And then the customer service person wanted to argue with me about it not working, which was disrespectful and annoying. (I think I am capable of plugging something in and figuring out if the laptop is charging or not.) It was a really aggravating multi-call-to-customer-service process to work with Lenovo to find the power cord that WOULD work (as it wasn't on their website). At long last, I do have a new power cord that works (a totally different one than this product). So I'm not really very impressed with Lenovo at the moment if they can't even sell me a working power cord for a laptop that is only a few months old (i.e., it's not some ancient model that is out-of-date...then it would be understandable that finding compatible accessories would be difficult).

I would have to prop my charger a certain way for it to work. I am a student working hard to get into medical school and I depend on my laptop for research and assignments. The only things to note are 1 the black rectangular part of it can get quite hot 2) just like any charger, the end of the cable can fray if you're not careful. My original lasted me 2 years, and my backup one I made sure to tape very well with electric tape so that it won't fray at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Genuine I purchased this adapter directly from Lenovo.com after returning an aftermarket unit from a popular website. The non genuine adapter was a different shape, and seemed to work well enough, but I just couldn't shake the nagging feeling that the manufacturer might have taken shortcuts with things like safety and efficiency. Did it have proper noise filtering, over voltage and over current protection, and did it follow the USB-C Power Delivery standard? Their website made no mention of these things, so I had no choice but to assume they took the 'more profit' route. One noticeable difference - the genuine supply runs MUCH cooler than the aftermarket, while drawing 67 watts vs 61 watts per my Killawatt meter. Electronics is a hobby, so I spent quite a bit of time researching power supplies, in particular counterfeit products. There's some sobering information on the internet, including poorly made units that visually are almost indistinguishable from factory parts. This power supply is a Liteon ADLX65YLC3A, which is identical to the unit supplied with my Yoga 920, and cost me a whopping $14 more than the aftermarket supply. I'm pretty sure Lenovo's engineers didn't take too many liberties with a design that could potentially damage my expensive laptop because they would be on the hook for warranty repairs, right? In my opinion, an extra $14 well spent.

Though it't not as small as the original 30W adapter from Apple, I just keep the original adapter in my laptop bag for travel and keep this adapter available on the desk. Seems to charge my Macbook Air just as fast as the OEM adapter. It's also nice that it has a higher rated capacity, so if I upgraded laptops, it could provide up to 65W. After a few weeks, I decided to purchase a second one for my desk at the office too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS IS THE RIGHT ADAPTER FOR TRAVEL Like many, I needed a spare power adapter to use when I travel with my X1. There are other adapters out there. I looked at a number of them that are cheaper (and smaller than this option. THIS ONE WORKS. The drawbacks are that it's as big as the original and it's more expensive than the knock-offs. But it wraps up relatively compactly and it powers my X1 while charging the battery. Just what you expect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This charger needs to be updated The charger that originally came with the laptop died on me for an unknown reason and so I bought a new charger. When I first used the new charger for the first two weeks, it went well. Then out of the blue, the charger started to slow down. It would take 4-6 hours to fully charge the laptop from a low battery life and when I use the charger when the computer is on, it slightly charged the computer but it was not enough because I would see the battery life dropping instead of rising! Overall, I give it a 3 star rating because it does work but unfortunately, it seemly act like it won't last for the lifetime of the laptop.

I ordered this one, and while shipping was delayed and it took much longer to get here than anticipated, it works great. The pup has tried to get at this one once or twice since, but it has held up against her nibbles before I can put it back into the bag she steals it out of. This charger works great and charges up my laptop quickly, which is perfect for being on the go and needing a stable laptop to work from.

It has had a couple of unresponsive key issues but they may have been the internet service. The price of this laptop, its versatility and quality make selecting it over the Dell XPS 13 a "no-brainer". Dell is making you add on such things as a touch screen! My wife is now prematurely retiring her Dell for the Yoga (as I did due to its fragility. For the money, as my personal computer and used occasionally for work, it is a great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use this to power my Microsoft Surface Go I dislike the Surface power connector because the magnetic connection disconnects way too easily and the connector itself attaches to the Surface at such a weird angle that it's awkward no matter how you position it. I got tired of handing my Surface carefully and gingerly every time I wanted to pick it up, move it around, etc. to avoid dislodging the Microsoft Surface power connection - meanwhile the Lenovo USB-C connector stays in securely so I don't have to baby the Surface or worry about the angle I position it to avoid knocking the charger out.

They arrived quickly and the customer service I received was very helpful. The cord to plug into the wall is included in the package, I’m not sure why it isn’t in the picture.

One thing I am a big fan of is that the cable is thick so it is less likely for it to get damaged. I found one that claimed to be a Lenovo product, I order it because it was half the price that Lenovo was offering on their main website. I got it and it looked like a Lenovo product but when plugged in it didn't chime to show it was connected, which was annoying. Then after accouple days it died, I ended up returning it, and immediately went to Lenovo shopping site and ordered this. Its been working like it should and over all was happy to spend the extra money.

Unfortunately, my motherboard would crash, shortly after leading me to return not long after. As for the functionality, I would definitely recommend, as it never gave me any issues. Another pro is that the price is cheaper when ordering directly from Lenovo versus a second hand store. 5/5, and would highly recommend.
