Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow!!! LG Awesome I bought this for my son for Christmas and he was extremely happy, but he wanted a larger one! The graphics and features were on point. I was so impressed that I bought one for my daughter too. Thank you LG!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good you wouldn’t know it’s just mid range Extremely happy. I’d be be honest LG wouldn’t be my first choice for anything but this monitor changed my opinion. Read a lot of good reviews. There’s no defect, just perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ultrawide Monitor. I was in the market for an ultrawide monitor and every reviewer suggested this monitor. They are not mistaken, the monitor delivers high framerates (depending on your GPU) and beautiful colors. Ultrawide monitors usually have VA panel, but this one has a nano IPS panel which is good too. Viewing angles are better than VA panel. Only issue is price, but if you have the budget, go with this monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultrawide, ultraspeed and ultrasharp! I’ve been gaming and working on this monitor now for around three months. It is fantastic for both productivity and playing your favorite video games. The colors are quite accurate. A couple of professional reviews have surfaced now on YouTube to back this. My monitor is effectively overclocked to 160 hz. I’m currently running on the Fast preset and not the Fastest setting. The gray to gray is around 4 milliseconds on the Fast setting. I got a little flickering on various games and applications on the Fastest preset that is the stated 1 millisecond response time. I can tell you first hand I notice no difference in responsiveness. It’s great for everything from adventure games like Tomb Raider to Esports titles. I play a lot of Warzone on the monitor and love it. Jump in and enjoy. The base takes up a decent amount of desk space. Be aware of that. At 400 nits the HDR experience is not mind blowing but I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I purchased the monitor at Micro Center in Brentwood, MO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good build quality, but it wasn't for me... Nice monitor with a solid build quality. Colors were great out of the box once I found a setting a I liked. Minimal IPS glow and no significant backlight bleed on my unit. Gets really bright. It's also really, really big. You're going to need a lot of desk space if you buy this monitor. Gaming on it was loads of fun, and it was nice having all that extra real estate. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the differences between this and the 83A. Other than the included cables, I couldn't find one and was unable to get a definitive answer from LG. Both the 850 and 83A seem to be the same panel, although it's possible there's something I missed. Unfortunately, mine had a stuck pixel (green) and color temperature uniformity issues. One side of the display was notably cooler than the other, which was distracting on whiter scenes, and pixel fixer software couldn't resolve the stuck pixel. Oddly, the display made me feel nauseated whenever I used it for work applications (Excel, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, etc.). I attribute this to the curve, which warped text on the outer edges of the panel. If you're sensitive to these sort of things, that's something to consider. In the end, I decided to return it after just a couple days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pricey, but near perfect - Brightness, clarity, color accuracy, and blacks are all excellent - A bit too heavy for my monitor arm to keep perpendicular to the desk - For this price I would have hoped for built-in sound - Nice curvature that's easy on the eyes - A literal game changer for my experience with displays

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor but the inputs are o.O Everything works well out of the box but the inputs on the back of the monitor needs change I mounted this 34 ultrawide on a slim wall mount but I can't use the included cables cause everything on the back of the panel is plugged in horizontally and point out in the back. Hope this one last as long as my old Samsung one does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Control I would not recommend this monitor unless you can check in person to make sure you have a good one. Ordered mine online and the first one I got had a row of pixels that were stuck red. Returned that one and its replacement had a pixel that was stuck green. Now LG is making me get this one fixed instead of sending a replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Came from 27" Dell Spent a lot of time researching and ultimately landed on this monitor. I came from a Dell S27dgR so the 144hz wasn't new to me. I'll compare these two monitors in this review. LG pros: Brighter, more colorful, and HDR (game changer!). Less ghosting than the Dell. Ultrawide gives new perspective on both gaming and basic browsing. (this is why I bought this monitor). LG cons: The left side of the monitor is noticeably darker than the right. In other words, the brightness is not consistent across the entire monitor. The power cable, USB, and Display Port cable are ridiculously short!! Confusing process to download software to manage on-display controls. Glossy screen (sometimes looks like a mirror depending on the lighting behind you. Frustrating 'out of the box' default controls like auto-dimming. YouTube videos are not formatted for the resolution of this monitor. At the end of the day, I'm happy with the monitor . Outside of the brightness issue, I have no dead pixels so I'm happy about that. The price is a bit high for what you get in my opinion, but it's changed my perspective on games that I've gotten bored of playing, and opened an entire new world for me in terms of how I use my computer. This alone makes it worth it. I'll always love the Dell S27dgR, but I'm keeping the LG!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power cord keeps falling out I bought this product back in June 2020 and have had to send it in for servicing twice because the power cord keeps falling out. For starters, the cord doesn't go all of the way in (no idea why it was designed this way). So overtime any movement causes the cord to slip out. Eventually, the only way I could get the monitor to power on was by holding the cord and pushing it into the monitor. I am really disappointed as this monitor was a big spend for me and so far, out of the ~5 months I've had it, it has only been working for maybe 6 weeks. Other than that, it's either been unusable or being serviced by LG. The reason for the 2 stars and not 1, is the monitor is currently being serviced again and I hope this time it is finally fixed. If it is finally fixed I'd up my rating, if not I'll drop it to a 1.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best picture quality I've had yet! Bought this to replace another brands 100hz 34" monitor and this is a huge step up for only about $200 more. Picture quality and presets are excellent, back-light bleed is very minimal, noticeable in just one corner. Refresh rate is very nice being powered by a 2080 ti. Overall a very good buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful with minor annoyances This monitor is gorgeous and has become my default gaming appliance for a couple of devices. Clean lines and hefty so my cats can’t knock it over. It loses a star for the audio jack not working, and the other solution is to mail it in and be without the monitor for 4-6 weeks. Decisions decisions. Some games need audio...but 4-6 weeks??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead pixel after 8 months. Have had a horrible experience with LG support. My monitor has been in "repair" for 2 months. Second repair they didn't even attempt to repair it, just sent it back to me. Every time i have gotten it back from LG support, it has more dead pixels than when i sent it in originally. Not entirely sure what the issue is here, maybe its the tech repairing it, or LG support as a whole. I have been without my monitor since early Feb. with no current end in site. I posted this review once already and it got taken down. Hopefully this time my "repair" actually gets fixed. Otherwise the monitor when it was working; was great. Had good hz, amazing color. Perfect match for my 3080. Yet my voice keeps getting drowned out as support assures me every time i send it in, that it will be fixed. Its been a nightmare of an experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Panel died within 6 months Monitor was mostly great for about 6 months. Had vibrant colors and great refresh rates. It did run really hot and had light would bleed around the edges. However the panel died after about 6 months. Thanks to another website tricking me into buying it used I get no warranty coverage. So even though this monitor has only been on the market for about a year they wont fix the panel. I think a panel at that price should work for at least a year and if not the manufacturer should repair it regardless of where or how it was purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Monitor! Absolutely love this monitor! I’ll never go back to a 16:9. UltraWide is where it’s at! And LG has released an amazing product! Works flawlessly with my 2080 Ti! The colors are spot on! Vibrant and beautiful! Input lag is nonexistent as well! You will NOT regret your purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor! Been running this since Aug, and it is wonderful so far, the setup was easy. Picture is clean, no dead pixels. I run this in Gamer 2 Setting, at 1440 @ 144 using the GSYNC Compatibility, and it runs great! This is my first UltraWide, and I really love the extra space, just big enough so that you aren't having to move your head to look around, so immersive, can't wait to play a driving game!
