A jumping cursor
No matter what I try and your help desk guy tried a lot by taking over my computer remotely and replacing and updating software, this mouse's cursor keeps jumping around when I click on links, even when it's so simple a thing as trying to "like" a Facebook friends post. I've given up on trying to like FB posts as a result. Could you please replace this mouse?

This is my second Logitech M705 I've purchased to go with a Logitech MX Keys keyboard for my second system I've setup. I've used the Logitech wireless products for over a decade and I really like the product quality, the ease of connecting them to your computer, and their smooth operation. Stops Working After an Hour
This mouse seems to simply stop functioning after about an hour of use. Even after checking the batteries, turning it off/on, resetting the USB fob, etc. It works again the following day.

Lopsided scroll wheel or programming?
The scroll wheel acts like it is out of balance and often rolls in one direction or the other after removing my finger from it which causes the screen to move to a different location than I want.

inconvenient middle button - problematic desktop app
It takes some time to get used to the different movements of the wheel. Pressing the middle button usually also presses the wheel towards right or left (usually right). Other models of this were better.
The Logitech app for Windows 10 misbehaves in some specific settings. If you use the mouse to "switch apps", then the Enter key is automatically pressed after every switch.

Overly sensitive scroll button has a mind of it's own
I use it for Autocad and adobe pdfs.
The scroll button is overly sensitive and will zoom out when I move the mouse without even touching the scroll wheel. I bought it because it has a thumb button like my old mouseman mouse had. Unfortunately Logitech chose not to update the mouseman software to work on Windows 7 because I never had any problems with that mouse.
I will try turning off the scroll wheel to see if that eliminates the problem but then I won't have the scroll wheel when I need it. I need to buy another mouse because of the same Windows 7 issue but I can't seem to find one that I like. Why can't Logitech just update their old mouseman? Sometimes "progress" is actually a step backward when they don't get it right.

This mouse is built up taller, making its base shorter, so it fits our hands better.
I might want the right mouse button to be made a little shorter, leaving the left mouse button the same as it is.

Cheap Price, But Bad Performance
I bought this mouse with the thought it would perform like al the other Logitech mouses that I had bought in the past, but when I used the mouse it performed worse than the cheap $12 deal mouse that I bought.
The optical laser doesn't track correct, center-on-center. Because of the lasers location underneath of the mouse compare to all other mouses, it doesn't track center-on-center like all other mouses.
To have to learn a new way of positioning a mouse for it to track properly is just plain stupid.
This is most likely why this particular mouse has been dropping in price everywhere ever since this mouse has come on to the market.

I love the smooth and fast scrolling on this mouse. You have to go to the Logtech website to learn to use all of the buttons, but the button just below the wheel is what will sell you on this mouse. The wheel works like a normal mouse wheel until you depress that little button and then it turns in a fast, smooth scroll. One spin and you can get to the middle of the longest document, two quick spins and you can be at the top or bottom of the document. It fits very nicely in your hand, I have a disability which makes normal mouse usage very uncomfortable, but this mouse is so comfortable, it's great for anyone with a hand disability like carpal tunnel, arthritis etc. They say the batteries last up to 3 years and it comes with a 3 year warranty. I haven't had it long enough to test battery life, but this is seriously the best mouse I have ever purchased and I plan on ordering another one to use at work.

Might want to choose different mouse
I purchased this mouse after having another Logitech wireless that I dropped too many times :(. I like the fact that the batteries won't have to be changed out every six months and that it has on/off button. It also fits well in my hand. What I don't care for is it scrolls the page by itself even after setting the settings to the lowest levels. Also, it feels like there is something loose inside that goes back and forth inside while I'm using it. I really like the wireless adapter that came with it because it only sticks out from my laptop about 3/8".

I love Logitech keyboards and mice. This particular model is surprisingly comfortable on the hand and I like the scroll wheel action button (smooth or click scroll). The thumb button makes task switching very fast. As others have said it's also nice that it has the micro usb receiver and that it comes with Unify, Logitech's way of getting you to buy their wireless keyboard too ;) . The only reason I give this 4 out of 5 is the fact that the receiver seems a little weak when using your PC under a desk, and the mouse is not more than 4 feet away at anytime on the desk, it tends to get jumpy and acts like it's losing signal. Other than that small complaint everything else is great!

I've owned my M705 for well over a year now, and must say it is one of the most reliable mice I've ever had. Its response time is great for the price (yes, I did use it as my primary gaming mouse for much of this time). The battery life is very impressive; I've only needed to change the batteries once the entire time I've owned the mouse.
The SetPoint control software is fantastic and works quite well with this model. It allows easy customization of the mouse buttons and really adds to the functionality of the device. If you own this mouse and haven't installed the SetPoint software yet I would highly recommend it, as it is a great improvement over the standard drivers Windows automatically installs.

I LOVE this mouse. This is my preferred mouse for daily use. The battery does last for a decent time, but I wouldn't say "You may never have to replace this mouses's batteries for as long as you own it" - The responsiveness is fantastic and the selectable conventional vs. inertial scrolling (via pressing the scroll wheel down) is great for those long web pages. The only thing I would change is the sensitivity of the scroll wheel while in inertial mode.

Love the weight, love having a DPI toggle on a mouse, side buttons are nice... the only thing that really threw me off was the scroll wheel.
It's not the 'notches' I'm used to, instead I'm confident it's like a ball bearing. It'll just keep spinning. While I'm basically treating it like a fidget spinner as I'm getting used to it, I'll notice sometimes when I stop it, the page I'm on scrolls in the opposite direction. Maybe just me/this unit.

Great mouse and fits the hand well. I enjoy the side button where with just a thumb press I can utilize Aero in Windows 7 more efficiently when looking at multiple windows. The battery life is pretty good too. I only dock one star because the nano receiver doesn't seem to have more than a 4 ft range. I'm right handed, and my PC sits under the desk on a stand at my left. It's a minor annoyance but I would buy this mouse again and recommend it to people looking for an affordable ergonomic mouse.

Feature rich and totally usable.
This is my first experience with wireless products, and this mouse, also marketed as Marathon Mouse, doesn't disappoint. I thought "hyperscroll" was just another gimmick, but within the first few hours of surfing, I found myself loving it. You press the button behind the scroll wheel and it basically takes off the "brakes." You can spin the wheel down to the bottom of a long page or list without messing with scrollbars. And speaking of scrolling, if you download the software from Logitech, "leaning" on the scroll wheel on one side or the other will scroll a wide page side to side. And two buttons at the top of the thumb curve will page you back or forward.
These features I described are good because it keeps you from having to pick up and move the mouse a lot. The reason you don't want to do that is because it's kind of heavy. It's called "marathon" because it will last up to three years on the AA batteries because there are two of them. You can actually take one out because they aren't in a circuit, but then it's not "marathon" anymore; however, the remaining battery can be placed in either spot changing the center of gravity. So it's entirely up to the user as to what they want to do (but I still think it's heavy).
I'm definitely happy with the mouse, and the dinky little receiver is great, too. It has a long range and I was able to pair it with the Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard (not available here) using just the one, which frees up a USB port. (Meaning you don't have to get a dedicated combo set.) I have no problems recommending it.

A lot of our users had been clamoring for a wireless mouse and we previously used Microsoft and Dell wireless mice which had dongles that do not compare with Logitech's unifying receiver.
On the Microsoft and Dell mice, if the dongle breaks or gets lost - the mouse cannot be used anymore. With the unifying receiver, mice works well.

Best wireless mouse around
These are the only mice I will buy anymore. The ability to switch from textured scrolling to fast free-wheeling is fantastic for long datasets. The battery life is about a year for 2 normal double A's.

Good Mouse, production flaw
The mouse works great, but the left click paddle is loose and uneven compared tot he right. It catches the right side almost every time i click.

Don't work, no help online
I bought a M705 yesterday and pluged it in. Came up that it was nstalled, nothing, took out and reinstalled, notheing, tried in 3 different pc's nothing. Tried to find help on line, they want to charge me more then I paid for it

Great mouse !
Very comfortable and ergonomic. Only complaint is the free scroll mode seems imprecise. If you click the button below the scroll wheel it works much better.

My Favorite Mouse So Far
This mouse is perfect for my small hands. I am sure the shape would work for medium hands too. (Female) I am not sure it would work for a large hand. The mouse is responsive, moves easily and isn't very loud. My favorite mouse so fa.
