We are all gamers and I was afraid of a delay or slow game interaction with this wireless unit, certain death in the gaming world. But WOW !! This unit is flawless,precise, lighting fast and the added programable buttons are a real bonus.

I purchased this trackball to see if it would ease some of my shoulder pain from the constant moving of the mouse. So far this mouse has worked fine, except at times it seems to respond slowly. Not sure if it just needs to be adjusted or if it might be something else. I like not having to move the mouse all the time. Buttons on this trackball are programmable and it is suppose to allow up to eight other devices connect through the receiver. Nice thing is you can store the receiver in the mouse body so you don't lose it,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from what a great trackball ive had my laptop for 3 yrs, and have been using a standard mouse, having to move it across a flat surface constantly. with the M570 trackball, i can leave the trackball in one place and manuever the pointer, and on any surface too. the usb connector is awesome and almost hidden, no more getting it snagged on anything, or perhaps damaging the usb port. its a great mouse, and i highly recommend it.

And there is somewhat of a learning curve to it, but again it is worth it. You probably would not want to use it for heavy moving intensive games, like WoW

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More and Less Purchased this track ball mouse after a co-worker stated it helps reduce fatigue since you aren't constantly moving a traditional mouse around all over the place. Although I agree it does keep arm movement to a minimum the trackball isn't as quick as I'd like it to be. Sometimes it does move as fast as I want to move, sometimes it doesn't (not sure what the trigger is yet to make it move fast all the time). Overall I'm happy.

I also had IS order me one at work. It took about a month to get used to a trackball, but I will never go back to a regular mouse now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only kind of mouse that I LOVE! This mouse is fantastic! First you don't need a mousepad because you can use it anywhere, thanks to the rollerball. No more push, pull, and slide associated with a normal mouse; you just direct the rollerball. You still have the right & left click buttons, but that's cool. It is wireless, with a low profile USB dongle so it won't break off or be sticking out in the way. I use mine with my smart TV, so I can be about 10 feet away and it still works fine (it works up to 30 feet away from its source). It is exactly what I wanted in a wireless mouse, plus more!

By far the best, awesome responsiveness and accuracy while image editing. Love the two new buttons for forward and back. And the battery life is the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mouse! I love this mouse. My friend had a trackball mouse in 2001 and I fell in love with it. Was never able to get myself one but always wanted one. This is perfect for anyone with limited space to move a mouse around, esp if you have a small laptop table and play games, regular dang mouse falls off the side or you end up hitting the side of the laptop - this eliminates that problem. It does take some time to get used to, but it's worth it and you don't have to keep moving your whole arm around so you will probably end up loving it, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent trackball Pros: I have been using trackballs for many years to prevent straining my wrist, because a regular mouse creates soreness within minutes of use. This trackball is a very similar design to the wired Logitech I have been using the last several years, so it has an excellent ergonomic design. While I was concerned about a wireless mouse functioning through my KVM switch, I found no problems. Using the same monitor, keyboard, and trackball, I can switch between using my two computers with the KVM switch, without a hitch. (In case you did not know, a KVM switch allows you to hook up two or more computers using only one monitor, keyboard and mouse.) This mouse set up automatically on both computers. The Logitech software allows you to program the buttons as you please. I like to use the scroll button to minimize a screen, and scrolling to be six lines at a time. The back and forward buttons can be programmed to do different tasks, but I find them useful as they are. The battery life appears to be very long – after about 30 hours of use, the Logitech software indicated I had over 540 days of use left! Con?: The only con for me may be a pro for you-the four pads on the bottom of this mouse keep it secure in its position on a table, so you have to tilt it a little to change positions. As I frequently change positions in my chair, I put pieces of cellophane tape on each pad, to make it very easy to move on a table.

So much easier than looking around in the dark for keys and finding things with the track pad on the laptop. Very comfortable. Having an on-off switch is great; just shut it off when I put it away.

This mouse will save you muscle fatigue, give you quicker, more accurate responses, and makes it easy to pinpoint the exact location you want to use a mouse at...it makes you fast, accurate, and efficient and less time is wasted when making document changes...I would not use any other mouse! I have been using this band and style mouse since the late 90s and can not believe the difference when I try to use someone else's computer and they don't have it...it is AWESOME!

It's larger size is great for the size of my hands. It's comfortable and once you're used to it very accurate. Cons If you're not used to a trackball there is a learning curve. I totally prefer the thumb trackball to finger tips. Great product. Hope it lasts as long as my wired version (had mine for 10 years without a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look No Further This mouse surpasses similar products on the market, by far. Pros: Speed is the most noticeable at first. The ball spares the fingers and the wrist and allows much greater accuracy on the screen. The range of his mouse is outstanding and makes it easy to use it when accessing other devices in my home which use my desktop. Lastly, the fact that it is cordless is such a plus, one less cord to be bunched up behind the desk. Cons: I have used a similar product before by Logitech, however it was arranged a bit differently than my new one and this took some getting use to, but was simply overcome after just a few hours of use. I strongly recommend this product. If you are not use to a cordless mouse you are in for a great experience. After using the Logitech cordless mouse, you will never go back to a standard mouse again.

The only things those lacked were decent wireless receivers and programmable buttons. But all that is fixed now. Plus, Logitech did a bit of an aesthetic upgrade to make it look even sleeker and fit just a tad more perfectly into my hand. You're really not going to get any better than this... unless they release another version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless Logitech Trackball I do a lot of graphic art and I've found that you can't beat a trackball and the Logitech Wireless Trackball is the very best trackball that I've ever used. I've had several Logictech trackballs in the past and still have them connected to other computers. One of the best things about the Logictech trackballs is that they simply don't seem to wear out. Even better with the wireless you don't have the wire connecting it to the computer. One less wire is always good! The wireless trackball is easy to use and fits your hand really well. My wrist doesn't get tired with it, as it does when I use a regular mouse. All in all you can't beat the Logictech Wireless Trackball!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Logitech Trackball is Awesome! After using Logitech mice for years, I made the mistake and purchased an HP wireless mouse because it was on sale. I was very disappointed! While searching the Dell website I found the Logitech Trackball mouse. The wireless usb dongle is small and does not get in the way like others have. The trackball did take some getting used to as you know have to move the cursor across the screen with your thumb instead of moving the whole mouse. After about 3 days I was used to it. It fits my hand like a glove, and allows me to maintain a more ergonomic position with my hand and wrist. I would recommend this mouse highly to anybody with small desktop space and for those who are concerned with ergonomics.

There is a manufacturer's defect in the Omron snap switches that control the left and right click functions. After some use, you will start getting phantom double clicks. In that you may only click once to highlight an icon or move to the next page, but it double clicks. This is a very common problem and there are multiple instructables and youtube videos on repairing them. Otherwise, you cannot find a better thumb style trackball.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I can't say enough good things about my wireless trackball. It all started on my last job when I noticed wrist pain from being on my mouse more than ever before. In an attempt to avoid worsening my condition I got my hands on this trackball. Six years later I have no wrist pain, nor thumb pain, caused by my "mouse" device. It works flawlessly and precisely every time. Plus it has a very long battery life. The only negative that I can see is that if you are left-handed this obviously will not be your choice. So what are you waiting for ... don't be stuck in the old ways ... give it a good try and I guarantee your wrist will thank you for it!

As a long time user of the Logitech trackballs (Trackmans) I've been through just about every generation of them since I picked up a Trackman Marble+ in Best Buy about 10 years ago. I had the previous generation to the wireless M570 here and was a big fan of that one, but didn't think they could improve the design any. When that one started giving up the ghost due to a faulty ball mechanism (the first one I've ever had a problem with) I called to get an idea on a replacement ball. Logitech not only went above and beyond on the support, but it resulted in me getting the M570 and I've been continually impressed by its versatility since then. The two buttons I mentioned initially? Yeah, the older trackball units are now positively archaic and backwards to me. If I can't move forward or backward in a photo viewer or online, I feel completely out of touch. Thanks a lot, Logitech! ;)

I had the original white/beige trackman, then switched to the light grey trackball and now that they stopped making that line I'm on the wireless m570. I love the design, the extra buttons, the comfort...everything. Anyone that complains about wrist or shoulder pain I make them use this mouse. Between this mouse and an ergo keyboard, the pain usually stops. I can't see myself ever using another line of mouse.

Like wheel mice of old the trackball needs to be cleaned semi-regularly however, it is fairly easy to do. I've owned it for several months and have not had to change the batteries yet.

I Love this Mouse, I always thought I wouldn't like one but after using this one I have had to purchase a 2nd one for my home office, I work at a rock quarry and it is a very dusty environment and this mouse seems to be holding up and hasn't ever not worked. In my opinion it is a great well built product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saves my Wrist!!! I have used this design trac ball for years. It was recommended by a co worker in my IT department when I was having issues with my wrist. I always make sure I have 1 for the office, 1 in my laptop bag and 1 for home. I hope they never change this design!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I started using this mouse to try and delay carpel tunnel surgery by a few weeks. I absolutely hated learning to use a trackball. However, now that I've mastered it's use, there's not a better mouse available. I do agree that you have to clean the inside out every few weeks, and it tends to grab anything that might have come into contact with my thumb. I still use my M&M mouse pad as a colorful addition to my desktop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I've never been a fan of trackballs. I always found them hard to use and uncomfortable. The M570 is way better than anything I'd used before. If fits my hand comfortably and has smooth action that responds well to my thumb. I don't turn mine off overnight or over the weekends and the battery still lasts around 9 months. I've experienced some erratic behavior due to a low battery, but the low battery light never lit up on the mouse. Beyond that, I love this mouse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 2nd one, after 4 years the 1st one wore out I use this daily, all day. Much prefer a trackball over a mouse. The shape and size fits my hand well. I just wish it was easier to clean and had replaceable parts-the old one wore out the bearings the ball "floats" on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great improvement I used a similar product several years back (ball was on top in center) but this newer design is so much easier to use. Control and usability of the buttons is extremely easier. Have recommended this product to several co-workers and they are very happy with it. Those with smaller hands would probably like to see a smaller designed device but for myself this is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Logitech m570 wireless track ball This product is great I really enjoy the feel of the mouse. I did have some trouble connecting it to my computer at first. I left my other mouse plugged in to clear the windows update for the mouse. After this the mouse had been connected flawlessly. I have yet to replace the batteries, even though I leave it in the on position all the time. I did have to get used to the ball and buttons. ALL in ALL its a great product GET ONE !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I love this trackball but they don't last forever. This is the third one I have purchased over the years. I'm guessing they hold up for about 2-3 years then the sensors tend to have issues. And yes I take the trackball out and clean them.

Great for tight spots where you don't have to move the mouse around. Had problems with the left clicker from natural wear and tear, but overall, a solid product.

The only time that I have had to replace one is when the connectors change. I now have the wireless USB version at home and at work and the rest of my family uses them also. Much easier on the wrist than a mouse, no moving parts to get dirty and jammed. Works great for traditional work and also works great for gaming once you are used to in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what we were looking for It's been awhile since I used a track ball but my boss and other colleagues love theirs so it was time to try it again and I love it. It took some time to get use to it again and find that touch (a little longer than I expected) but I really like it and it's hard to use a regular mouse again. Easy one touch control it's just getting the cursor to stop exactly where your want it.
