Out of a last resort decision I tried this and it works very well! After turning "increase touch screen sensitivity" feature its as close to perfect as can be.

I purchased the Alpha glass strictly to stall while waiting for a case ordered online. The Alpha Glass already has spider webs in it. Not sure why? I am more than willing to forfeit face recognition for a good screen protector finger print sensor works every time and is so much faster and easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from two weeks after purchace Great screen protector, but the only issue I'm haing is that the sides of the phone (the curved sides) are not sticky enought to stick to the screen. It is just collecting dust and fluff and sticking to the edges of the screen protector and getting wedged between it and the case. Gross! I have a fluffy phone now. Otherwise, it protects great and havent had to replace it yet. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest instilation. To be fair I have only had this item about a week, but I have had a lot of touch screen devices throughout the past ten years. I have always bought screen protectors and each and everyone of them have been difficult to put on the phone and I'm always left with bubbles. However, this product the Alpha Glass Screen Protector is so easy and quick to install. There are clear cut instructions, tools to help, and no bubbles remaining at the end. 10/10 for installation and so far 10/10 for protection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not great I have an s9 for less than 2 weeks. I haven't dropped it or banged it but it seems to have a crack either on the phone screen or possibly the alpha glass. I don't know how either could have cracked. I had an s5 with an otter box until I got this phone and couldn't fault it. This one however is not as good.

The screen is now crystal clear and still very touch responsive with the sensitivity turned up. The protector is also extremely durable. I am VERY rough on my device and have had no issues.

So, I figured I would fork over the cash for the Alpha Glass Screen Protector. I felt like, I was a child on Christmas morning when I got it! I mean, I tracked it 2 time a day! So proud, I showed it to all my friends and family! Talking about, "Want to see baddest Screen Protector in all the land?" "The Otterbox Alpha Screen Protector S9!" So you could imagine how disappointed I was on day 14, after all the talk. The thing came unstuck off the face of my phone. :( I had higher Hope's for Otterbox. After all, I purchased the Otterbox phone case and it's a Tank.

I contacted Otter and they immediately sent the correct one for the S9. When I received it was easy to apply, looks great and fits well with my Otter case. It is also easily responsive to touch. The first time she picked up my phone her teeth were right on the edge by the back cover and sure enough it chipped. I painted some clear nail polish there in hopes it doesn’t spread. I am trying to figure a way to attach a ribbon or lanyard so it is easier for her to pick up. Live and learn.

He couldn't access the notification at the top of his screen because of the way the edge laid and he also had to press the buttons on the screen very hard to get it to read his input. We ended up taking the screen protector off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The actual Worst screenprotector After watching a tutorial and putting the alpha glass on accurately, to my surprise it falls off the phone regularly when doing regular typing or simply holding the phone up while lying down. I dread putting my phone in my pocket cause I know the screen protector is gonna come off. Also because the alpha glass does not hug the screen (sticks only at the edges) it interferes with the touch sensitivity of the screen. Eg. When editing this review as I type I have to press the screen multiple times for it to register my touch command. A screen protector only works well if it stays on the screen. Would not recommend.

I think very little impact on touch sensitivity but I increased the sensitivity in the phone settings anyway. No issues I'm aware of. Note that I have yet to drop my phone so no test there.

The fit is quite good... little short on the bottom but fits ok... the screen seems to not pick up fingerprints so that's great. My disappointment whilst working on the car my phones slipped out of my pocket from about 2 inches(I was lying down )and the screen protector broke. To be fair its protected the phone screen but now needs chucking.... I've had £2.99 screenprotectors last longer. At least my phone screens ok

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 stars of disappointment I bought this about a month ago and when it arrived with the otter box case I followed the instructions and used the alcohol pad to clean the screen before putting the guides on and placing the glass. About a week maybe 2 latter I noticed that the screen protection was starting to lift ( I was hearing something when I was dialing 1, 4 or 7 so I removed it and cleaned the screen again and re applied it using the guides this time I pressed even firmer than the first time a couple days later I was taking the belt clip off and dropped my phone and belt clip all together when I picked it up and checked the phone and case where fine but the screen protection was dislodged and out of place again. So would I recommend it probably not might even reconsider the future use of otter box cases. Very disappointed in what I thought was a great brand!

I got on the site for touch sensitivity to try to fix the problem but had no luck figuring out how to do it. Went to a at&t store and was told that the glass was too thick and lots of people complain about them. Sorry I bought it. I wasted my money!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't adhere Its been great for a whopping 4 weeks. Phone just dropped from the couch into carpet and the glass came off. For the money the screen cost, it's a waste. I'll go with a less expensive version that will do the same thing. I really wish I didn't have to spend over 120 bucks for a case and screen protector when the previous otterboxes had the case and plastic screen built in for half the price. Not a fan if otterbox any longer . Thought they were the best, but there are comparable brands for much less expense.

I've dropped my phone a few times and there's never any damage. One thing I particularly like is that the rubberized case makes it easier to hold the phone, especially when I'm walking. The case is easy to install, especially after watching the instructional video.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alpha Glass I received my alpha glass protector and immediately installed it according to directions. I have had this on my phone for a few weeks now. I love that it is compatible with the Otter box defender case. It does well with protecting the screen from scratching and smudging but it fell off on the very first drop. I have always purchased otter box defender series cases for all of my phones because they have full protection for the phone and I am hard on my phones.. I haven't dropped again since the first time but I am afraid that this wont hold up to expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Glass - Spotty Adhesive Easy to apply, great glass, but the adhesive is spotty. It sticks poorly, even when following directions (which are very easy. You end up with a small area that is loose, and allows dirt and dust to enter behind the glass. I have a non-Otterbox cover, and the glass does not seem to play well with it. Removed it and purchased another product that works perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth as Silk, Tougher than Tough When I could myself in need of a new phone sooner than anticipated (unknown design failure not lost nor physically broken in any way), I knew I was also in the market for protective coverings that enhanced, or at least did not hinder, the operation of the new device. The Alpha Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S9 is just that...and still silky smooth nearly a month later (and it protected my screen without a mark itself after bouncing around my Jeep when my vehicle was hit by a drunk driver...I do not reccomend testing it this way; however I am so very grateful that I do not have this to worry about as I wade through everything else!)!

My phone fell the second day I applied the screen protector and the protector fell off of my phone when it fell! The protector cracked so I discarded it and reordered through the gaurantee but never received my replacement! My son's screen protector never stayed in place, constantly had to press down on the top and bottom(to re-stick it to keep the protector in place, until it finally wouldn't stick anymore. Would not purchase again..my husband hasn't applied his yet hoping he finds a better product.

Only complaint is it is does effect the sensitivity of the phone so you have to press a little harder than usual. But other than that no issues and the phone has been dropped a couple times already with no scratches.

It matches the Otterbox case perfectly, and the phone looks great. The only problem so far: already cracked! I guess you can't have it both ways, and while this screen protector has functioned, it's very expensive to last this short period of time. One drop, one crack, 40 euro.

My #1 issue is that I have dropped this phone twice now and BOTH TIMES the screen protector has simply popped off. The adhesive no longer sticks now, which is ridiculous. I spent an obscene amount of money on this only to have to fix something that shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. It's annoying.

My phone fell from the car seat to the floor, which is about 10inches at most onto a carpeted floor, and the protector popped off. There is only a VERY thin line of adhesive around the edges of this protector and this was not strong enough to hold it onto the phone. I have the Otterbox case which is great and it was recommended I buy the screen protector that would fit perfectly with the case but it was a complete waste of money!

Guess I should have just bit the bullet and purchased the alpha glass before that happened. Easy install, and looks almost as if it was included with the phones. Now if only the manufacturer would just make a screen that doesn't scratch.

I have read where when dropped the protector can pop off. I think I can see that happening since it went on so easy. I haven't used this new phone yet as I am waiting for the new sim card for a different carrier, so haven't and hopefully will not drop it to find out. You know how that goes. I haven't had to change the screen sensitivity to get the phone to respond to finger controls, so that looks good. The screen looks really good.

I bought the defender case and screen protector because I have 4 and 2 year old daughters who are shifty and take my phone before I even realize it, I splurged to buy myself a new phone and bought these so that it would last and they have done a fantastic job of holding up against the drops and tumbles etc. That come with toddlers! Once I installed it I started having issues with insensitivity of the touchscreen, especially near the curved glass. The screen also looks a little grainy, which happens with many screen protectors, but I've definitely have better. I'm glad I didn't pay for this because it's very disappointing for the price

Remember to increase the touch screen sensitivity before installing the screen protector. Following the instructions and using the included tool/guide it works great. I'd give it a 5th star if it didn't leave a little gap between the sides of the protector and the otter box case for the S9.

My only complaint is the gap between the glass and case catches a lot of dirt, dust, etc. It definitely does not impact protection, but is a bit annoying to clean.

Noted that the first time applied it was simple and I didn't need to peel it off so there's no reason for it to not stick to the screen properly. Also, the cover cause you to tap your screen harder even when I followed the advice of reducing the touch sensitivity. Overall was not worth the large price for something that won't even stay placed on my phone.

I am not happy with the lack of responsiveness when typing messages once the protector was installed. It does not completely adhere to the glass in the center making it difficult to click certain keys or buttons. Typing is slower with the protector than with the phone itself.

It also works really well with the Alpha Glass. I recommend this case for anyone that wants that extra layer of protection on the S9. Looks very durable and makes me feel good having it on my phone. One thing I didnt like is that it reduces the screens sensitivity a little. I also had this on my s7 edge and I had to press hard on the screen to get it to respond. Typing gets annoying sometimes.

I have not yet dropped the phone and I'm not sure where it came from. Overall, I would love the protector if only I didn't encounter this problem so frequently

Matched with commuter series case, dropped phone twice approx 2 weeks apart. popped off the first time and was re-applied no issues. second time has popped off and now no longer sticks to phone. apparently the small strip of adhesive along the top and bottom edges once they get even remotely dirty no longer stick. However it hasn't shattered yet. And probably wont since it will not re-attach to phone.

Both my wife and I have noticed a loss of accuracy and sensitivity in using the S9 since adding the glass protector, even with reapplying it. So, a little disappointing and frustrating, but we want to protect the phone. Might have to look at other screen protection options.

I've never worried about dropping my phone before. Time will tell if phones with curved screens are susceptible to damage due the screen being exposed more than flat screens. The case feels great in the hand. The wireless charging still works with the case on.

It went on very poorly, even for an experienced tech who applies various screen protectors regularly. It only adheres around the edges of the alpha glass, not to the entire screen; that is the design. It does not have good adhesion and has come loose a few times. It also collects dirt between it and the screen, very undesirable! I can only hope that it will make my screen more robust as long as I can keep it in place and keep the harmful dirt from beneath it. Considering how unsatisfactory this screen protector appears to be, it cost way too much. I bought from OtterBox on line and paid way more than it was for sale in the phone repair store, even after 10% off for buying it in combination with the Symmetry OtterBox.

On top of that, the so called screen protector it's not cover my screen completely from top to bottom and side to side allowing dust to get in. Also a very huge problem is the fact that this screen saver is so slick that I can hardly use it my fingers will slide off sometimes since some of the characters on the right I have to press several times in order for it to activate the key that I am pressing. It was not like that before I put the screensaver on so I took it off and keypad is normal again

I did have to boost the touch sensitivity on my phone, but now works great. There is a small gap between the top and bottom of the glass and my phone case, but not a major issue. Initially, I noted the dot matrix in the glass, but you have to look at the screen "just right" and I don't even notice that anymore.

After using the aligning tool 3 times over 2days to get it installed correctly so the screen functioned properly near the edges, still have to press more firmly near both sides to get it to work. Other problem is it does not extend high or low enough, there is a gap between this and my otterbox defender I brought at the same time. Where the screen protector ends at the top also makes it near impossible to get the top pull down screen to work. On top of all this I tried to contact otterbox about the fact I was redirected to there New Zealand site for purchasing, prices were clearly displayed throughout the process, at no time was there reference to the fact everything was in US dollars! New Zealand Link should mean you pay in New Zealand dollars! over two weeks later still no reply from them

I thought that the end caps for fitting the glass were a really great idea that helps you perfectly fit the glass exactly where it's meant to sit, nice and central. First issues I found was that because of the die cut of the top of the Samsung screen was very close to the front facing camera and sensors, the face recognition kept bugging that my face was too close to the phone when it was no where near it. It was sensing the glass. Second issues was noticing two unusual parallel lines down the sides of the curved edges on both sides. I'm not sure if that was because of the way the adhesive was applied, or, if it was simply a result of the curved glass itself. Third issue was the touch sensitivity. I know Samsung and Otterbox recommend adjusting the touch sensitivity settings in your phone for better user experience with having protective glass on, but still I had issues with touch sensitivity. Mostly this was around the top of the glass where you would normally pull down the notifications panel. But it was also less sensitive around the corners and in general all edges. Fourth and final issue that really took the biscuit: I dropped my phone. I had bought a brand new commuter case and an alpha glass and I expected my phone to be basically bullet proof. But no. I dropped my phone on the kitchen floor and the alpha glass shot off across the floor. It didn't break, credit where credit is due, but because it shot off across the floor the glue picked up a whole load of fluff which rendered it useless to reapplying it to my phone again. This glass shouldn't be flying off my phone screen. It was supposed to be stuck to it. I had had it on my phone for around 8 hours already. It had been on my desk at work, in my pants pocket, in my car's phone cradle, and at home, yet it came clean off. So I chuckled it in the bin, quite unhappy with my purchase overall. I definitely wouldn't recommend. The standard Samsung glass seems pretty well finished off and polished hard. The commuter case does well to protect the glass from actually coming in contact with any surfaces so I'm pleased enough without the alpha glass, just not happy to waste my money on that purchase.

After I put on the alpha screen protector it's quite a bit more difficult to use my touch screen, I really have to press down or tap something several times before it will even try to work. I have dropped my phone several times since I have had the screen protector and my screen is still in tact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alpha Glass This is my first OtterBox purchase. I decided to get the alpha glass and OtterBox screenless defender case for my Samsung Galaxy s9. The glass is crystal clear, and fits perfectly. Installation was simple. I had to increase the touch sensitivity in the settings to get it to respond correctly. The glass works great with the case. The only downside is the price. I think it's pricey, although I don't know how alpha glass compares to other products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor.... It didn't stick After using it for a week, I was finally clumsy and drop the phone. Neither my Smartphone screen not the alpha glass shatter but it snapped off my phone and I am not able to affix it cleanly back onto my phone again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing seems to work on the edge screens This is pretty much on par with every other screen protector I tried for this phone, I just paid a lot more for this one. I followed the instructions and used the placement guides but had poor adherence at the top of my screen... so accessing my notifications and settings became a 2-handed ordeal. I was super happy with the rest of the screen and sensitivity though. Within 24 hours it developed a crack along the left side of the screen that slowly spread despite absolutely no trauma to the phone. This is the 4th protector I've tried and had high hopes since I love Otterbox and it was more expensive than any of the others, so I'm disappointed. In the end, the curved screen just seems to be too hard a shape to effectively protect because it allows for no errors in placement and the tempered glass covers just all seem to be too weak structurally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed I bought this a few weeks ago as my previous Otter case and cover came as 2 units. Now it's 3 units the extra is the frontal glass. Sitting a week there was a hairline crack..I contacted Otter a replacement was sent but no personal response or apology. I did not drop the phone to have caused the crack. They dealt with it promptly however and that was good. I would not recommend it as dust gathers under the sticky edge defeating the protection process as it could cause scratches. The phone fell afterwards and the glass fell off. I.m very dissatisfied and preferred the previous case which lasted me 5years...no cracks and my S4 was as good as new. If I could replace the entire case to something similar I would

However as soon as I put my otterbox case on, the placement of the case cracked the corner of my glass screen protector. Ordered a replacement and will update my review. Doesn't seem as sturdy as the screen protectors I had for the iPhone. Also, really dislike that at a certain angle and in the sun I can see a grid pattern within the glass. Hopefully this product will improve as time goes on, because the s9 is so new. Even with the adjustment of my settings, the touch sensitivity is still off.

Only issue is the screen protector that I bought separately, I have to press harder than I should which causes a lot of auto correct issues and problems playing phone games. But I dont mind it as much because better protection, I guess.

But alpha glass is not at all upto to that mark, after installation of alpha glass touch sensitivity was gone. I had to remove the glass to retain my phone touch sensitivity. Investing on alpha glass was very bad idea

It also made the touch feedback more difficult even with increased sensitivity on my phone. Not the quality I would expect from otterbox. Would not recommend spending $50 on this product.

I have also only used there phone cases too, and they keep my phone in as good a shape as the day I bought it. Great products!

The first time I bumped the phone, it fell off. Doesn't really stick securely and makes noise whenever the edges are pressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waste of money!!! The product is very straight forward as far as applying it to your device, comes with everything for prep and even a jig to get it set just right. The downside is the adhesive that is used is complete garbage. After only a week of being installed it just fell off and won't stick to anything. OtterBox should just stick to cases and forget about screen protectors. They are a failure just like the armor series cases were.
