THE ONLY FLAW IS THAT THIS CASE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR 5G VERSION. I NOTICED THAT VOLUME UP/DOWN ON THE CASE DOES NOT LINE UP WITH ACTUAL PHONE. Although I can manage the volume controls with patience and perseverence, my son was unable to, so we bought another brand for his phone and the Otter Box that was for his phone now sits, unused.

I asked if the a71 commuter case fits the 5g version of the phone. I was promptly told yes it is the right case. Upon receiving it and test fitting it, it does not fit the volume and power button are slightly off and the ear piece at the top of the phone is on the other side of the phone.

While this technically fits the A71 5G model, the case buttons don't line up and the camera cutout doesn't fit properly. It's functional because there are so few cases out there that are worth a darn, but it would be nice to have a product thats as advertised. Otterbox, after literally decades of wins you've finally failed.

I had to cut a hole on the side to make the buttons accessible. I bought this before many of the other reviewers had the same issue.

So when I changed to a galaxy A71 I purchsed a similar otter case which is not to the same standard. I have since purchased a better product from Samsung which is better but still not as good as the S7 case

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not like they used to be No built in screen protector anymore. I GUESS SOME PEOPLE LIKE THE THINNER RUUBER PROTECTOR, BUT I prefer the thicker more protective one. I am waiting for my refund, I returned it and bought a different brand with more protection and a built in screen protector. I'm really bummed because I have used Otterbein for years and their cases have saved many of my phones from hard falls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as good as I thought it would be The cover is constructed very well as all otterbox's are, but for some reason the sides of the cover don't quite come up high enough on top the upper edges protect the screen adequately... I noticed that the screen is almost level with the upper edges of the sides of the cover which really doesn't allow the edges of the cover to higher than the screen surface... The reason I know is that my phone actually fell off the seat of my car and landed face down on the road, and it cracked the protective aftermarket screen cover, which I was able to replace, but I was really surprised that did happen

So I expect the same excellence The box for the Samsung a71 is generally fine but the volume up and down buttons do not match up Tried to use there online chat. No value Tried to call several times wait on hold over an hour each time Disappointing.

This most recent purchase unfortunately did not fit the phone. None of the button impressions matched up with the phone buttons so you aren't able to turn the phone on or off or raise or lower the volume. The order was for the Samsung A71 phone and the box said that it was that case, but no fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for drops but.... It's an otterbox, it will definitely help when dropped. Problem is the constant dropping. This case is very slippery, and the phone is huge, so this adds to the dilemma. Love otterbox, but this flaw needs to be addressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY. DESIGN ERROR. NEEDS TO BE PULLED It seems to fit but the designers made a big goof and didn't line the Otter Box buttons up with the phone's buttons. The plastic part of the case holds down the power button nonstop. I've sent mine back and awaiting a refund. I'm responding to an email requesting I rate the product. It shouldn't be able to be rated. It shouldn't be being sold still if a ton of these were identical to mine.
