I am most upset that I am unable to find a waterproof (preferably submersible case like life proof used to make. Life proof and OtterBox are now the same company, but have opted to stop making waterproof versions. I use my iPad for work in an outdoor application as a home inspector. No idea where all of these companies find waterproof cases for their technology. I am still looking and will abandon OtterBox if I find a Waterproof alternative.

I learned of these cases from my daughter, an archaeologist, who used them on excavations and I felt that my outdoor activities warranted the same protection. Also I am from Ft. Collins.

With the double layer of plastic interior and rubber/silicon exterior is feels rugged and protective. It does add weight and bulk to the iPad - but I’d rather know the iPad will survive my 60lb dog knocking it over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cover I’ve ever had I hate iPad covers. They ruin the experience of having a beautiful, slick device with a great feel. But the Otterbox came well reviewed and recommended so I gave it a go with some suspicion. The encased concept works super well. The fit of the case around the iPad pro11 (2nd Gen) feels like it belongs with the device. I don’t feel the need to remove the iPad to experience it properly. The stand mechanism is well thought out. So many iPad case stands are flimsy and not fit for purpose but as part of the case enclosure the stand for the Otterbox actually works. My kids love it. It’s the best iPad case I’ve ever owned. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only Otter box! I purchased another brand from the cellular store, They did not have Otter box. I relucantly bought it knowing i needed protection for my Pro 10. Not only did i purchase the case but had to go to another store to get a screen protector. I hated it! So i ordered one online. I feel so protected now. Not having to worry and having the ability to hold the ipad in my lap without having it fall. I love it, i will never use another brand than Otter Box!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection, but one major flaw I really like the Otter-Boxes for their protection.In this regard I am 100% satisfied with the model for the new 11'' iPad pro. However, there are two flaws - a minor one, and unfortunately, a rather major one. The minor one: when placing the iPad in the outer casing to bring it to a 15 degree stand, the corners of the iPad casing and the corners of the outer-casing don't fit together perfectly. Therefore the stand is not as robust as I expected and e.g. writing with the Apple Pencil in this position was not as precise and easy as I had hoped. The major one: The inner casing causes tiny vibrations which are picked up by the microphone and result in an unacceptably loud and omnipresent background noise which makes it impossible to make high quality sound recordings. I could'nt believe that this was really the case, so I gradually removed all the parts of the Otterbox (soft outer casing, top part of the inner casing, bottom part of the inner casing) to make sure. Only when the Otterbox was completetly removed, the noise was gone. For me, this is really unfortunate, because I like the fealing of the box, as well as its robustness very much. But without the lack to record high quality audio is a deal-breaker for me. I am really sorry to give only a 2-star rating. Were it not for the audio flaw, it would have been 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe for kids I bought IPad Pro and have young kids ages 5 & 11. The case protects from dropping and spills. I still tell the kids to be careful but the case is very strong which always for accidents. A few times someone has accidentally sat on the tablet and it didn’t crack the screen. Ll I don’t think the case would work if submerged in water or if the tablet was run over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does what it needs to do I bought those as about the only non-folio option I could find. I like Otter cases and have purchased many over the years. This one, however, has some issues. After time, the rubber skin will get looser and not stay on as I’ve seen in my wife’s iPhone case. The main drawback for me is the flap that comes up for the Apple Pencil does not allow enough flexibility to come up and stay out of the way. It comes up and pulls out of its track from the rest of the case. it is either securely attached or flaps around precariously. Also, the charge point cover is too stiff and acts like it puts too much pressure on the connection, as if it might break the connection over time. It’s certainly difficult to remove.

The upright position of the stand is too straight up compared to my previous Defender for my 10.5 iPad Pro from over 2 yeas ago. Other than his slight inconvenience, it is excellent.

Your pencil also has a space of its own to be stored

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, well-built case, stand needs some work... This case feels great in the hand and seems to be built to last. However, the stand angle could be better. When placed in landscape mode, the angle of the screen is too steep and requires a bit of effort to get it to a place where it is more easily viewed. I would like to see the adjustable stand mechanism in the middle of the hard case/stand have more options to adjust the angle to make for a more pleasurable viewing experience.

Overall happy with the purchase but we bought these iPads to use outside and specifically bought iPad Pro to have the outdoor (non glare) screen and the included screen protector defeats the purpose. If it stopped the glare would be 5/5 without hesitation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I trust Otterbox cases save my devices many times I am very happy with this case I feel well protected for my very expensive device well made and great warranty back up. My only complaint is the flap where the pencil gets charge seems very flimsy and will probably break off or get stretched out rather quickly. I am glad otterbox backs there warranty cause I fell like this case will be replaced many times due to the flimsy flap. I hope in the future the case can be made different to accommodate the charging of the pencil.

They are beefy and do a great job of protecting my equipment. I must say that I come close to scoffing at folks who over-worry about aesthetics. Nothing is more beautiful than a piece of equipment doing its job well. No cracked glass or damage ever experienced in my one or two drops over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's fabulous I bought this about a month ago, I like the storage space for the pencil in the stand/shell and how easy it is to access the pencil dock on the ipad. The apple pencil works seamlessly with this case on. I did not try the fingerprint scanner. I use the defender line in all my devices and it's such a good product that buying one for the new iPad was a no brainer. I do not have an apple keyboard so I don't know how or if that is compatible with this case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job, but cold be better When investing in something like the iPad PRO, protecting that expenditure is imperative. Having used Otter Box for other mobile devices, I immediately ordered one for the new tablet. I'm a bit disappointed in how the side flap (to accommodate a pencil was designed. When the flap is open (to allow the pencil to charge off the device) the case is awkward and comes undone on that side. Would have been nice to see something like the same material that protects the front or thinner cover to allow for this (instead of a bulky - and probably not as durable/lasting flap). Be warned, the case does add a significant amount of weight to the tablet. Other than that, quite solid and does feel like it would adequately protect the tablet.

The Defender Series Cases have kept them alive to survive butterfinger drops, Heavey dust storms crushing briefcases, and lakes of spilled drinks.
