Got my S9+ and then ordered the Defender, which took several days to arrive. I dropped my less-than-two-week-old phone the same day day the Defender arrived... And broke the glass back. Thank the Lord for UBreak IFix store in my area. My new S9+ is now shielded! Feeling MUCH less concerned about my new phone.

I tried two other cases before this one, and both were returned for refunds. I'm very happy with my purchase. I came to the OtterBox site because they had the type (Defender AND color (purple!) that I wanted. I'm fine with paying a little bit more for something that will give me fantastic protection for my expensive device! The case is still a bit stiff, but over time it will loosen up enough that the buttons on the sides will be easier to press. It’s not a problem now, just a side note to mention. It doesn’t hamper the phone’s features. I've only used OtterBox cases (usually Commuter or Defender series) for the last 4 phones I've had. This case makes wireless charging a little bit slow because it is so thick (which is what I need), but it doesn’t have any issues when charging with the regular cord.

Rated 5 out of 5 byTony P from Good, durable caseThis is my 2nd Defender case, I previously had one on my Samsung Galaxy S8+. The case itself is nice and durable. It would be nice if Otterbox offered a few more color options but the Big Sur case is a nice, light shade of blue. This hard plastic part of the case seems to have been improved since the S8 version although the bottom still does not snap completely together.I work in EMS and take my phone out of the case at least once a week to clean it. I have had the snaps break on me after taking it apart about 5 or 6 times. I contacted OB and they sent me a new one after paying the $5.95 shipping fee. The one complaint I do have, and it is not with this case, but I have had numerous problems with the Alpha glass compatibility with this case. I loose all screen sensory after placing this case on over the Alpha glass. I have had to resort to using a plastic film type of screen protector which means I was out the $50 I spent on the Alpha glass.
