Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completes its job functionWorking in a call center you experience every scenario possible to exhaust your hardware until its literally down. I recommend for smaller call centers with less than 25 employees. Also, I would not recommend this product for more than 25 employees in your call center. I have found that as much wear and tear to the product with employees working 40 hours in a week; this product will wear out roughly in 4-6 months. You may experience audio issues on both ends of call and requires you to configure the system on a case by case basis. Plastic or Rubber on the buttons may wear out if the plastic is removed and cause connectivity damage due to wear and tear of product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DA80 causing USB resource conflictsWhile being transitioned to a new IP Phone system (Cisco IP Communicator, we were issued a DA80 and HW540 headset combination by our IT department. Since installation of the DA80 and corresponding Plantronics Hub software, some USB issues were noticed. If the headset is plugged into a USB port that is on a common USB Root hub with either a keyboard or mouse, you will experience problems typing and/or using the mouse. This was experienced by multiple users in my department. Initially it was believed to be an application conflict until someone chose to change which USB ports each peripheral was using. Only by separating out the DA80 from all other devices did the issues resolve. It appears that the DA80 is very USB bus resource intensive and "does not play well with others". I've also used a Jabra headset (Jabra Pro 9470) with Cisco IP Communicator and not experienced the issues that appeared immediately following the installation of the DA80. The conflict issues were so severe that the DA80 gave the impression that the entire computer had crashed, resulting in 4 separate hard reboots the very first night the DA80 was installed, followed by 2 hard reboots the following night for similar issues. It was on the third night that the USB port reorganization took place and the appearance of a crashing computer went away. After this was resolved on the first computer, the 4 other people experiencing the same issue (keyboard and mouse lockups, which imitated a computer crash) tried the USB reorganization with identical results (the computer "crashes" stopped occurring).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product!I personally own a DA45 and DA80 and use them on multiple PCs. Frequently I am moving the device from one computer to another and love that it is an independent sound device so that I can leave the defaults on the PCs and set the DA to communications default. It also works great with my Nortel/Avaya phone without any extra setup, and even works with gaming consoles. The two other bad reviews, I've never experienced the issues they state, maybe I'm just lucky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product once configured correctly.Out of the box we had some issues with volume reduction feature. Once we installed the Plantronics hub, we was able to correct the problem and the product works great. If I had any advice for you is that you will get the most out of this device when you install and use the HUB.We use about 100 DA80 devices in our MSR area. This is a really good product once you understand how it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping an eye out for further troubleI bought the DA80 model in late August 2018 and the lighted Mute button stopped working properly. The tech support rep did help me with troubleshooting and working on a warrant replacement... but c'mon Plantronics... really? Buttons on anything are engineered to work an approximate amount of times before you should expect something to fail. But only 4 months out of a 2 year warranty? I hope that playing tag back and forth for two years via snail mail is what I should expect for durability out of a product from you. When it does work it's a pretty smooth running little thing. For now I will recommend this product... but don't disappoint me in the future by having to return this thing back too many times.
