Rated 5 out of 5 bystarry173 from Was really just looking for a HDD caseI'm impressed with the protection the sleeve provides when both pieces are on and together. I like the ventilation from the point of view that I use these HDDs to do backups and they can get pretty hot. The last thing I want to do is put them in a case that can't get rid of the heat. So I have to set the HDD aside until I feel that it is cool enough before putting it in the protective case. So, 2 plusses so far. It looks as though the 2 pieces are also there so I can remove the cap piece and install the drive with bottom still on. That would appear to work on the Voyager dock that I use, but not on my preferred Inateck horizontal dock. The Inateck spins down the drive when not in use, so overall, the heat dissapation is better on the Inateck. But I can't make it work with the bottom sleeve on. Minus for that. So that brings me to my final point...the other minus. If I do have to take the bottom and top sleeve off every time I want to use the drive, that is a hassle...and I am probably wearing it out quickly besides. I will use these 2 I purchased, but I will be looking for something new. This could be a 5-star wonder for the right person and situation, I think.

Rated 5 out of 5 bySARK9 from Works fine for our purposesWe back up to and rotate USB mounted hard drives ever night. The translucent sleeves allow us to see the labels on the drives without removing the cover. When we do a backup, we take off the cap and slide up the larger piece about a quarter of the way to allow us to insert the raw hard drive in the Sabrent or Vantec drive USB drive mounts. The drives do not over heat and the silicon provides good some soft cushioning and protection from static charged finger tips. They wear well. We have uses about 30 of these with 9 of them in constant rotation for about 5 years. We haven't had to replace any of them. These work perfectly for the needs in our environment.
