Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work Center 3345We got the Xerox Workcenter 3345 to replace our old Xerox Workcenter. Xerox discontinued our old model so we picked the one that seemed most like our old one. The new model is not nearly as user friendly. We also got a rude surprise when it ran out of toner after 2 weeks use. We were not aware that the printer only came with a temporary toner cartridge that would only print a few hundred pages. We got a low toner light and 10 minutes later it stopped printing. Xerox was nice enough to send a full size toner but our office couldn't print anything for 24 hours. I am not sure I would buy this printer again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 3345 WorkCentre has amazing featuresMy Xerox WorkCantre 3345 came well packed with good instructions.The set up was easy. The touch control is very good and responsive. Looks like OLED screen. It is of good size compared to the competition which were awfully small. The print quality is fantastic and very responsive. The killer feature is the e-Consierge feature. With this set up I can monitor the toner cartridge (from three different locations) and order cartridge from the same website. It got shipped right away for free! - EXCELLENT SERVICE. This unit is 10 out of 10 in design, features, quality, ease of use and value. Just had it for a month. Reliability so far has been excellent.

Setting up the scan feature was a bit more difficult since it goes through a network but so far that was the only issue had. Definitely recommend this product, more than enough for a home office and can easily handle a smaller business as well.

As the manager in my company, I often find myself printing out numerous expense reports and other such items that require exquisite printing capabilities. This printer delivers on all areas and makes my job easy. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone, whether that be for casual at home use or in the workplace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Constant error of tray paper mismatchUser is constantly receiving error messages to resolve tray 1 paper mismatch. Sometime user prints a document sent to him, with a size that was specified something other than letter size, so this is one cause of the constant error messages. But at other times, it may a different cause. I will monitor the printer for further issues, but how do you go about clearing the error messages. It seem to pop up constantly for no apparent reason, or perhaps it was from an old job specifying the wrong paper size. Anyway, printer could be designed to be more user-friendly, in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to set up and useThis printer was difficult to set up and use. I ended up calling Xerox support to get the banner page to stop printing and get the scan set up. Scan only creates tif files where I would prefer pdf so I do not like the scan feature. When the toner is gone, the printer stops printing without much notice. I was unable to purchase a replacement toner cartridge in the store and had to order it online which left me without a printer for several days. I like the double sided printing and the print quality is excellent. I will not purchase a Xerox printer in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent multi function printer for small officeThis is the second WorkCentre 3335 that I've purchased. I have one in my home office and purchased one for my new office. While it's rather a pain to set this machine up, requiring assistance of an IT professional for some items, once it's set up it does work well. The features that I use are print, copy, fax, and scan. I don't use the email function. The 3335 works well both over a network and with AirPrint. I considered buying a different machine but couldn't find anything at a reasonable price that would serve my needs as well. It's also easier if both of my multi function printers are the same model for remembering how to use them.

Too many options HAVE to be selected.Printing quality is excellent, but that is the only good thing about this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this printerI bought this printer the Work Centre 3335 in hopes that coming from Xerox, it would live up to its claims. I must say, after getting it setup and running I am more than pleased with its performance and print quality. The wireless feature is the best due to my router limitations and lack of an Ethernet connection at the location I had to place it; Xerox's help Tech was very informative and directed me through the process. The instructions could be more informative but luckily there was a knowledgeable Tech that walked me through what I didn't find in the booklet and it was up and running in 5 minutes. I've been using the printer for 2 months now and have no complaints.

I have installed it about 20 times already, but it always has something going on that makes it be installed again. It never installs the Scan with the printer, so you have one, but not the other. I install the scan, it works, but then it is not there anymore. Frustrating, I wish I could return it and be done with it.

It refuses to connect to any networks, doesn't respond to even wired connections, and will not scan for the life of it. This is the worst product I have ever tried to use for my workplace and will never recommend it to anyone I know. Beware!!

The printing was less than advertised, we went through expensive toner cartridges faster than expected. The printer runs into random errors that are not easily fixed. I finally bought the XL version of the toner cartridges and the printer refuses to accept them even though it's for this printer. The printer is currently offline and we don't know how to fix it.Poor printer, poor Xerox support. I will not be buying another one as it's little more than a worthless desk weight now.

The toner cartridge is affordable. The purchase price of the machine was very affordable. It's laser quality, double-sided, energy-efficient. For us, it's perfect.

Also, to copy you must first tell the printer you want to copy by selecting the copy button before you can copy. Doesn't do any 2-1 or 2-2 sided double copying. All double sided forms must be copied on one side then flipped over and copied again. It also constantly tells me I need toner even after replacing a toner. Once you refill the paper tray you must confirm you've used the right size paper. Unable to print envelopes or anything that is not letter sized. This is the most dysfunctional printer I've ever used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for a graduate student!I use this printer because I was tired of going to the college library or to places like kinkos or ups to print materials for class. this printer is great for printing out lots of pages from the computer and also to make copies of pages from books. with the regular store bought printers, I was paying about 200 dollars a semester to make copies because ethe ink would go out really fast. the ink that came with this copier lasted the whole semester, which could print up to 2600 pages. The ink alone was valued at 119 dollars and the copier was about 200 dollars so , the printer was really 80 dollars. not bad for a printer like this. also, I just bought the high capacity ink for up to 15000 copies so I expect it will last much longer. it saves time and I can study w/o interruption. the speed is also good for me. I use it for college , so it is fast enough for my use.

My certified information technology representative spent 4 hours attempting to make the Xerox recognize the twain driver for scanning and gave up. This purchase was a waste of time.

I constantly clean it, but I still get dark lines down the prints and they just get worse and worse. After I use the print to email feature, the printer shuts down and restarts. I have turned off the confirmation page after emailing, but it prints it anyway. We are trying to save money, not use more ink and paper. For a Xerox product, I am not happy with the performance and features.

I went for the Canon and bought it. Later that very day I get a full refund from seller. I needed a printer. No ways, was I to spend another week searching, comparing, reading etc, I just bought the Xerox. All I read about it was negative: no label printing, not reliable, expensive, hard to work with. I was disappointed I couldn't find a Canon for same price. 2 days later, we got the printer. 30 minutes later it was installed, on all computers, including a Macpro. First thing I did was to have it print labels. !) No problem using tray 1 for printing a stack of thick labels. 2) Printing is dark and sharp 3) Toner cooks really well and doesn't smear when sticking your labels 4) No gray background on left over labels not being printed even after going through printer several times.Scanner works well and fast even over ethernet. Its highest resolution is 600 dpi.Sleep timer is set to 1 minute by default. It may be modified in the parameters.As far as programming, don't mess around with the touch screen, which works well too. Set your printer on your network. Once router has set its IP address, open Internet Explorer and type it in the address bar. You will have direct access to all your printer features, on your computer screen Easiest way to setup your printer, scanner, fax etc. Another handy thing to know that was not in the user manual I got: When accessing advanced features, you will be asked a username and password. For this model, default username is admin, and password is 1111.As far as technical support you must call. No support over Chat. Their staff is very helpful. I am far from regretting this purchase. It's our first Xerox, and so far, I love it. This is a very good printer for a small office.I wanted at least one good review to be written for those hesitating on buying this printer. It looks like one only write reviews when things go wrong, which makes reviews average irrelevant.So, hope these comments may help someone. Happy Printing! .

We can print to it only intermittently, cannot fax at all and have yet to get it to scan to a folder on any of our network computers. Set up was a trial. Machine would not accept our IP address. Had to manualy assign a static IP address from the router and manually set on machine. Instructions provided woefully inadequate for this purpose. Actually got on the website of another manufacturer to workout how to do this. Nothing available from Xerox. Placed a service request with Xerox (you cannot call them) via email, 4 days later still waiting. Disappointing result. Will have to return this machine and search again for another provider who can supply equipment that works and support same. Expected better quite frankly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fair Printer; Terrible ScannerI bought the Xerox WorkCentre 3345 for my small business to replace both a printer which was dying and an old, inadequate flatbed scanner. Here is what I found out when I received it:The print functions are pretty good. It prints fast and with good quality, even during duplex printing. The paper selection didn't always work correctly, though. For Instance, when I tried to use the bypass tray to print some labels, a number of problems cropped up. I tried to select labels, but the printer had an error and told me I had selected the wrong type of paper. Also, I have to open the main tray to keep the printer from printing there, which I should not have to do if I am using the bypass tray. The labels I was eventually able to print did not print straight and I ruined many labels before giving up.The flatbed scanner works great and offers decent resolution on scanned documents. The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is a travesty and has the same problems as the bypass tray; it can't seem to keep the paper straight when going through the machine. The duplex scanning works fine except that everything is still crooked.One thing to note is that on the web page it states that this printer can scan to a "Local Computer", meaning a computer connected directly to the printer using a standard printer USB cable. It will NOT do this and when I contacted customer service at Xerox, they told me this printer was not designed to do this. Xerox has not yet changed their site to match reality. Also, unless you have an IT person to help you configure this printer on your network, which is the only way it is designed to scan, I would definitely recommend a simpler printer. The only reason I can get any of the functions to work is I have a degree in networking and telecommunications. This printer is not for the networking amateur.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor qualityI bought a Xerox 3335 to replace a 3325 I had for many years. Out of the box, it kept having paper size mismatch error. I sent that one back and got a new one. This one has been working fair since. I still get random (one a day) Paper size mismatch error. Likely a sensor problem. Also its wifi looses connection to my system. We have several other printers that do specific things in my office and I do not have as many problems with all the other printers compared to this one. I have had a small business for 13 years and have always used Xerox as my main work-horse printer. I am re-thinking that going forward after this one dies.

With this machine, it allows him to feel like he's faxing, but he is actually e-mailing. :) The network capabilities enable him to send me documents to my e-mail when I am working virtually from my home, etc. He never has to get on the computer!! a win/win!!I give the ease of use a 3 because the buttons on the machine are not user friendly. I have had to be on with the tech department a few times already, just because things are not self explanatory.We will survive!! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't Print Labels; Weak Bypass HandlingWe bought this printer to replace a Xerox Phaser MFP3300 with very similar specifications. Unfortunately, the 3345 DNI printer produces light images on label stock, as if it's running low on toner. It also prints too high on the page when printing labels from the bypass tray, resulting in clipping of the printed area. Neither problem occurred with the MFP3300. Setting the media type of the bypass tray to "Labels" doesn't improve the result.Also, it isn't possible to set the bypass tray as the primary tray so the 3345 draws from that tray first. With the MFP3300, the printer will draw from the bypass tray if there is any paper in it, and draw from the main drawer otherwise. That works well for labels, envelopes, special forms, etc. Conversely, the 3345 seems to be able to choose the bypass tray if it is set to contain different media from the main tray, but it will always choose the main tray if both trays are set to the same kind of paper.The user interface is poorly documented. There are all kinds of checkboxes and settings in the Xerox CentreWare web-based printer manager that aren't mentioned or explained either in online help or the PDF user or administrator manuals. For example, paper type selection (e.g. plain or label paper) is buried three levels deep in the "properties" section. (Paper type can also be selected from the print driver interface on a Microsoft Windows 7 computer, but some applications, such as UPS World Ship, don't make that available.) There's no straightforward way to select the paper type for the bypass tray from the front panel of the printer.So the print engine is weak, the design choices are poor and the user controls are time consuming and frustrating to use. Documentation of the printer drivers and software is all but nonexistent.On the plus side, text and images look crisp on plain paper, and duplex printing works fine. The scanner works fine, although the name of the file it deposits on the computer is DOC.PDF. I didn't see any way to give it a better name. I haven't gotten as far as trying the FAX features.

I need to be able to scan 8-1/2 x 11 AND 8-1/2 x 14 into one file.The Xerox WorkCentre 3345 does not do this. Now I get to look unprofessional by having the 8-1/2 x 11 scan as a 8-1/2 x 14 page. Or scan the one job into two separate files.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the worst printer/scaner I have ever work withI bought the WorkCentre 3335/3345 believing it will work just like any other printer I have work with in the past, wrong. To start the scanner does not accept the usb cable I am use to connect my previous one with, it need a network connection, they told me, yea! like I am an IT pro. After multiple times trying to connect it on my own with no results, I gave up and call for help, Xerox team help me set up the network connection and it works, it was not the speed I would expect but it works. Couple of weeks later, after I change the internet provider, the scanner stop working again, "connection to server has failed" was the error, call the Xerox team for help on 1/10/2017, the guy told me you better call your IT team because I might not be able to help you with this IP address issue. I work from home, alone, which big company he believe was working with, there is no IT team around here, just me. I am totally unsatisfied with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUYI purchased my second Xerox 3335 5 months ago. Yes, it was a pain setting up my first one, but it's been working well since then. I figured it would be easier to use the same model at my new office outside of my home rather than to learn a new model. Big mistake. I ended up with a huge influx of work so it took about 3 1/2 months to even start setting up my office. The Xerox was one of the first things that I ordered after signing the lease, so it set there for awhile in the box. I've now hired a part time office manager who is helping to set up the office, particularly all of the challenges with this Xerox. When I first set it up, I'd worked with Xerox tech support and got it working. Left the office, shut down the computer and printer, and when I turned everything on again, it wasn't working again. My computer kept acting like there was a different Xerox printer on the network, not the one that had been set up before, even though it was the same printer. I told my office manager to work with Xerox and get it set up as a fixed IP address. That helped, but then she had challenges getting the Scan to network computer function to work. She's spent many hours on the phone with Xerox. At one point, tech support said, "Why don't you have your IT person do this?" We don't have an IT person. My company is a 1 1/4 person company at this point. A multifunction printer designed for a small office should not be so difficult to set up that it requires an IT person to do it. At this point, it scans to my office manager's computer but not to mine.Now, to add insult to injury, the printouts are coming out with big black blobs in the middle. My office manager checked on it and apparently it's the drum. Surprise, surprise - the drum is only warranted for 90 days after purchase. So even though it sat in a box for about 3 1/2 months, it's not covered. This is a $50 part! NOT HAPPY! I purchased a multifunction printer with a 1-year warranty; I expect it to be covered. Tech support told my office manager that the paper tray must have been put in too rough so it damaged the drum, so it's our fault, not Xerox's. I've been using my 3335 at my home office for almost a year and have never had problems with the drum. Loading a paper tray is not rocket science. It's a pretty standard thing to do regardless of the brand or model. Apparently there are a lot of people encountering this drum problem based on online comments, so the drum must be particularly sensitive or poorly made.At this point, I cannot recommend purchasing a Xerox 3335. I am also seriously considering changing to a different manufacturer for future printers. I have been a loyal Xerox customer for 13 years, but loyalty has to be earned. Hey, Xerox, you might want to remember that large companies often start out small. If you burn your bridges with small companies like mine, they won't be back when those companies grow in size to the volume of user that you want to do business with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a slow and impossible to use product.Every page scans as a separate image. I was informed that it will not scan a group of paper as a pdf file after I purchased it. So If I have a ten page document I have to attach all 10 pages to an email separately. There are too many steps to even get it to simply make a copy. The start up CD does not work and when I go on line there are so many drivers that I have no idea what to choose. You have to be an IT person to use this product. There is no way to know how to use it because you have to use the digital booklet but that is on the CD. This was a waste of money and gives me nothing but aggravation. I would never buy a Xerox again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Annoying beepsThe print quality is good. It's not easy to set up, but once it's set up, it works well. What annoys me the most is phantom beeps - frequent, but not all the time. I worked with tech support when I first got the printer and we turned off all of the alerts, but somehow the machine has added them back in. It beeps when it comes out of power save (so just about every time I use it) and on other random occasions. And no, there's no good reason for it to be beeping, like out of paper or malfunctioning. It just seems to like to beep. At this point, I put up with the beeps because the machine still works, but I don't like it and I would not recommend the 3335 to others. I will be seriously researching other brands of multi-function machines when I'm in the market again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inconsistent output, huge wastage of paper, very difficult to work withI have to revise computer connection with printer every time I need to use. Direct wired option does not work. Wireless option will work inconsistently. Scanner has never worked. Scan to email or PC does not work. Have called support center multiple times for these issues. Every time they give me a different reason for having to rename the device and revise the connection. There is a huge wastage of paper, prints unnecessary banner pages. Have to take five clicks before printing any document, to make "earth friendly" settings adjustments to try and prevent paper waste at each point of use. Overall very upset for purchase of this useless, piece of waste device. Lost a lot of time. All the settings showing checks, meaning the equipment set up is complete, yet unable to use for wireless print/fax/scan functions or scan to email/PC/USB options.

This printer has more steps to make a copy, throws error messages faster than Taco Bell rolls out new menu items and, in short, is a grave disappointment. Each computer on the network has different experience. The scanner still doesn't work after a fair bit of time on the phone with tech support. I can't be bothered with repeated calls to them for problems. So...yeah. This is the last printer I buy from Xerox for a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS PRODUCT DOES THE JOB BUT NOT EASY TO USE AND VERY SLOW!!!We have had this product for almost a year now and it is so slow i can walk away and come back before it starts printing!! Always says you have a paper jam even when it doesn't have to pull out the paper tray every couple pages to clear paper jam alarm to get it to print.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst printer I have purchased in 30 yearsNeeding a good reliable printer for every day use, give this one a miss, we have spent 15 hours trying to get it to run without neediong constant resetting and nil support from the purchasers or the manufacturers, this one is on its way back to the online suppliers from whom we purchased, its back to HP for us!!!
