I bought one of this and had to return it because it kept shutting off when I pushed the "print" key, they exchanged it for another one, and after a few labels the same thing happent! I went to the store and they said that they could not do anything because I had only 15 days to return it or exchange it. I try one brand new at the store and it happent again! They told me to call the manufacturer. It'sfrustraiting!

It is so much easier to you than the old label makers and I like the fact that it is electronic. It runs on batteries as well. It is easy to type in your label and to refill the tape. There are a lot of different colors for the tape to choose from. The only thing I did not like was how many batteries it took.

This is perfect for labeling everything from clothing to school gear. I have used mine for spice jars, storage bins, treat bags, and about hundred other household items. The variety of sizes, label colors, clipart and more make this the perfect accessory for my OCD having self. The labels come out looking amazing and stick well too. Label maker did not work correctly right out of the box. Provided a "label jam" error code so I went to the website to to clear. "Remove cassette and clear jam" took the cassette out multiple times and would not clear error. Poor documentation on fixing this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY DYMO LABELMANAGER 160 I received my label maker for free from smiley 360 to review and evaluate.I have never owned a label maker before but this label make is not only very easy to use but lots of fun.the cartridges are super easy to snap in and the light up LED screen is easy to see and use.I have so much fun just typing on the qwerty type screen,printing and just clicking to cut it.so simple to use.I love the professional quality of my labels.I can even take this portable label maker with me anywhere.I use it mainly to organize the many music books in my husband library to help him find his books easily.he no longer has to spend hours looking for a particular book.this is definitely a user friendly label maker and I could not be more happier to own it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broken after first label change I bought this a month ago. I regret purchasing it. It worked perfectly until we had to change the label tape. When we changed the tape, I couldn't get the tape to advance. Thinking I didn't install the tape correctly, I took it to the store where we purchased it. I was told the gears were stripped and were unable to advance the tape. Of course, I no longer had the receipt, so I cannot return it. This was a good product until I could no longer use it.

I was able to set up everything and get started in a couple of minutes. I love that it has the QWERTY keyboard layout which makes it very easy to quickly write out labels. There are a variety of fonts to choose from as well as three font sizes and I liked the option to add a box around the text. Once printed out, it is very easy to peel the backing off of the labels and I have found that they stuck very well to various surfaces {including items in our bathroom that have gotten wet}. All in all, I don't have any complaints and would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I deal with client mail and ithis help GREATLY in organizing and keeping everything in order. thank you to #smiley360 and #dymo for letting me sample this great product for #free. I have since bought labels to refill this and continue to use this at least once a week. Sometimes i have difficulty peeling the labels, but other than that it is very easy to use.

It makes labeling very easy and effortless even for a novice like me. Setup is easy and the large keypad make typing fast and accurate. Additionally,the variety of tape colors makes this a worthy investment whether it's to use around the home or for work. The variety of texts and font options is a terrific bonus. I love the options of bigger font, bold and italicized. It's fun to use. My only complaint is that the labels don't seem to be as sticky as they use to be. If you're in the market for a new label maker for simple "at home projects", this is a great option!

It does not feed the labels through, and on the rare occasion that it did print, the text was illegible and scrunched up together. I've contacted customer service through this company and they sent me a replacement set of labels to determine if the original labels were the issue. The new labels won't print either. When I tried to return this at Target today, it's out of stock in every store. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I at least expected it to work. I want to give the benefit of the doubt on a product that maybe it's a fluke, but this is not enticing me to be a return customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a bummer! I REEEEEALLY wanted to love this, I really did - but it fell short when it came to my needs. For smaller labels, it works great - nice, crisp lettering - but the more you increase the font, the patchier the print gets. I continued using it, but not as much as I would have if the larger font would have worked out. Also, I kept getting a low battery message, no matter how many times I replaced the batteries...and it take a BUNCH of batteries - 6, to be exact (AAA's. The display is nice and easy to understand, as are the buttons and menus. It's comfortable to use and easy to store. I'm curious to see if anyone else had print issues, before I would recommend this item to anyone.

It has a larger screen then most label makers, and different styles for the text. You are given so many options to personalize with clip art, and symbols. The best part for me was the bright neon pink tape. I love how it pops on containers and it makes the containers seem so whimsical and fun.

Tried watching youtube troubleshooting..no dice. Contacted Dymo troubleshooting...no dice. They sent me another device. SAME PROBLEM. Will be asking for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Label Maker I absolutely love my LabelManager 160. It has been such a great tool in my home for labeling boxes, and stuff in my storage closet. I used it to label some school supplies as well, and it worked like a charm. A few tips to follow: 1. Make sure you use the proper A/C Adapter, because not all of them will work. It will tell you that the battery is low, if the Adapter is not strong enough. 2. Be sure to insert your tape properly, to avoid jamming it. This has been such a great help around my home. I do wish that the labels cut off quicker, so that not so much tape was wasted on the ends. It has a lot of slack on each end, which leads me to believe that the tape is running out quicker than it should. Other than that, this thing is amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Such a huge step up from my old label maker. I received this product free, for the purpose of my review.

I labeled pictures and drawersand spices and my son and grandson who both attend school used it to make labels for their notebooks and books and their lockers. they loved the clipart that they added to it. we found it very useful and great quality, easy to use and most of all not work at all, it was so much fun. I recommend this product.

So disappointing as I think it is a great looking machine and functional, it just doesn’t work. I expected better from a Dymo product.

I think that the lack of instructions in the package has the potential to leave a lot of people with a great tool that they simply can't use. Most label makers of this type can be difficult to understand. A simple troubleshooting and programming tree would go a long way. I have had enough experience with these type of tools that this product is a joy for me to own. If you know how to use it you will love it. Great Product !

Can't charge it because the charger is not included and is not a common usb. This is my first time using a Dymo product and wow is it bad.

Opinions are 100% my own."* I have to tell you I was so excited to finally be able to label folders, shelving you name it in my home I literally screamed when I found out I was going to get one for free in exchange for a review....Boy was I let down. The labelmanager 160 has the capabilities to be wonderful but for three majore things: 1. Labels print out with ease as long as you are not using the colored tape. I was sent pink tape to use and could not but was able to print with no issue on the clear. Meh.... 2. 6 batteries??? Your joking? Thats about as bad as the toys they sell kids that burn up batteries. I was able to print 4 labels before they all died ( Energizer new out of pack 3. No A/C adaptor? Really? Some of us do not live close to stores to replace batteries all the time so including the cable, is it really that much of a burden to send with the label manager? I had to order mine on Amazon. If you need labels for nothing special and dont mind using just black on clear background this is great, for other stuff...well I am still trying to find a label maker that will work. ( sidenote: I was sent a replacement labelmanager to review and it did the same thing as the original)

For those of us pre-techno-age boomers from the Pleistocene Epoch, who do not easily remember that most questions are answered online these days, it takes awhile to locate the instructions. However, don't deprive yourself of a nicely designed product with good, basic functions & a variety of options to serve the purpose of lettering & symbolizing on labels for lack of paper instructions. Go to the "Support" tab & click on the section for User Guides, select the product & you can save the PDF to your desktop for reference. You can even print it out for perusal & later contribution to the existing detritus in the waste-stream of the planet. Read other reviews w/helpful hints & ask Dymo to replace or refund the product if it doesn't function properly. They might just do it.

It really isn't, plus it lacks the versatility (and ease of typesetting you get using a word processing program on a computer. This thing "feels" like its technology is 25 years old. It is portable, and can be used when a computer/printer hookup is not available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use! No batteries required! I'm already a huge fan of Dymo. I have Dymo label maker that's almost 10yrs old and still works perfectly! When I receive the Dymo Organizer express I didn't realize how convenient this label maker is. It requires no batteries, you can change the color of your tape as often as you want, the tape cost is much more affordable too, and all you need to do it turn the wheel and press. I was able to label all my craft supplies in half the amount of time when I used my battery operated one. Both label makers are a must have, it all depends on what you need them for. I work at a preschool so I'll definitely be using this to label the children's names on their writing books, journals, cubby, etc. I also love how compact and light weight this is :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Little Label Maker!!! As other reviews state: there aren't any complex instructions. There are, however, a 5 step pictoral card included in the box that should get you started easily. All you have to do is insert your 6 AAA batteries in one compartment, pop a cartridge into the other compartment (make SURE IT CLICKS into place!!! Next, hit the power button & begin to explore, type, choose your options, and when finished, hit that print button. If your cartridge is clicked into place & your tape is out far enough, you should have a label print almost instantly! It is THAT EASY!!! Click the lever on the side and it cuts the label off from the bolt/cartridge. The adhesive does not seem very sticky to the touch, but it seems to do the job! If it jams, then the cartridge you pop in does not have the tape fed below the two fingers. Make sure it clicks into place & the tab end is pulled out a bit & you should be good to go! This prints clearly, and has many options for font, symbols and clip art. Mine came with pink tape & I've had the best time labeling my daughter's school supplies! I really enjoyed this product. I received this to test for free in return for my honest opinion & review!

The last label maker I used one one of the click ones you move from letter to letter and punch them in there. I really love the computer like options with this system. They have many different color options and I was given 3 of the tapes to start out with. I really like the pink one. I have used them so far to label all kinds of school items, household items, and office items. I have a feeling I will be using this for a long time to come. It's got a great price tag and has worked without a single issue so far. I may have to buy a 2nd one for the kids.

I've always wanted my very own label maker since I was a kid but never had the chance but now I got to try it out for free! The label maker was real easy to use, I love the full keyboard with different settings, like font size, bold, underline and even symbols, that's something totally new to me! I just typed the words I wanted and pressed print and a beautiful, high quality label will be printed out in the matter of seconds. The quality of the label was beyond my expectation and very professional looking. I will be using it for different projects.

There aren't any complicated instructions or manuals to read. You can really customize nice labels quickly. I love that If I wanted to take it anywhere it's simple to just throw in your bag and go. One larger blue button to turn on and off and one large blue button to click to print your label. You can choose your font size and even make a two line label with Clip Art and/or symbols. I've used it to label my daughter's school supplies, my coupon binder, my file cabinet and spices in my kitchen. I think it's great and it's very affordable too. I love that it is light and easy to use. The labels are beautiful. The only drawback is that figuring out the setup for print at first is kind of tricky, but doable! You can pick which font style, size, and whether or not you want it underlined. One of the coolest things is that you can actually preview the label before you print it! Having a family, this has made my life so much easier. I was able to go through my daughter's room and label her drawers and bins on her desk. Since there are no real instructions I went online to the website, but the online user's manual is no help at all. For troubleshooting it tells you to go to the website (which I am already on!). Will be returning tomorrow and purchasing a different brand!

When I first got this I thought that it was "cheap" looking but when I opened the package and used it I was amazed. It's lightweight, quick. Perfect for my needs. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to organize! I got the DYMO label maker to review from Smiley360. We organize and go through stuff a few times a year....spring and fall cleaning are the biggest. We were able to go through all of our holiday boxes and label everything. We also labeled the smaller boxes inside the big ones and now it is much easier than having to dig through everything. I was very impressed with the labeler and had no issues with it. My oldest daughter also was able to label her crafts and makeup. Great product!

I label so much stuff now, from freezer food containers to bins of holiday decorations/supplies. Hubby uses it as much/more than me. He is a musician and loves the way he can label equipment for a gig. I highly recommend this label maker. The labels stick, unlike other label makers that i have had where label tends to not stick. This does! Labels come out easy to read and perfect every time! 5 stars!

I was really hoping I'd get this model because of all the cool features it has, and was so happy when I did. I had a little trouble getting the tape to feed through at first, but once I figured it out it stopped jamming up (you just need to feed more through than I thought initially Having said that, I cannot stop using this, we're trying to organize a lot of our stuff in our apartment for when we move in May and this has been instrumental in allowing us the chance to really organize all of our stuff and I cannot say enough good things about it!

I find this product super simple to use and tons of fun as well. I like that it has so many different ways to customize your label. You can add a second line of text, an underline, one of three borders, symbols, clip art, and you can change the font size and style! This machine takes 6, yes you read that right, six, AAA batteries and it is portable and lightweight. I have been using a pink tape cartridge that was sent along with my device and I have print well over 30 label with it and I still have more of the cartridge left. I started using this product 2 weeks ago and the batteries are still going strong. I would also like to mention that the LabelManager 160 has an auto shutoff feature. There is only one thing that I found annoying and that is that after you are finished making a label you have to manually hit the back button until the screen is clear. However with the auto shutoff feature it saves any label that you had not erased which could be a life saver in certain situations.

I tried so many different tricks to get the tape to work without much luck (pulled a little before inserting, ...etc). At the minimum the tape should self install and you should provide a video showing exactly how to install them and get going.

Went through three new label cartridges, the labels ONLY stick to paper, and that's questionable. Fall right off folders after a week. After the first few I thought, "Am I an idiot? Am I doing this wrong?" $120.00 mistake to buy this and the three extra cartridges when you can pick up a cheap one that will do the same. The device itself is great, simple to use, quality printing.... but, the best label maker in the world is worthless if the labels don't stick ! Dymo, please don't apologize, it's an empty gesture. Would have returned the unit but I've had it too long thinking somehow the labels were going to magically start sticking to things.

Not only is this thing a total workhorse, it is amazingly easy and intuitive to use. The only hard thing about it is putting it down! You'll want to label everything in sight -- even the most mundane of objects! Once I opened the box I read through the instructions on how to set up the label maker, formatting it, and basic instructions. I found the instructions easy to read, understand and follow. The Label Manager160 is easy to use, if you can type on a computer keyboard or smartphone keyboard then you can use this keyboard. It is the same style (QWERTY). The Label Manager 160 formats quickly with one-touch smart keys for your text size, bold, vertical text, italic, & underline/box. I recently was able to dry a dymo label maker. This label maker is an awesome tool for organizing. I've since organized what basically used to be my boyfriend's junk drawer into an awesomely organized junk cabinet. Thanks to the dymo label maker each category is labeled, so it's easy to find what we need. I have also had some fun using the label maker in my art journaling. It has a really cool effect. This label maker is so so easy to use. You simply turn the dial to the letters you need and squeeze the trigger and then clip your finished label with scissors. This label maker is so useful for so many different projects. It's compact enough to store easily. My label maker came pre loaded with black label tape, and it came with an extra roll in a fun bright yellow. I love this tool and I will do many practical and creative projects with it. Most importantly, there is no "clear" button. You have to hold down backspace to clear the screen. One of the most frustrating design flaws in any product that I own.

The pink and black cartridge was the one I was most excited to try, but alas it did not work. It would not advance... so I tried the clear one and it worked perfectly. I used it to make headings for my planner, and it worked out great! Once I figured out how to peel it, it peels great!

Dynamo website says "clean the print head with the cleaning tool attached to the compartment lid." Tool does not exist. Returned it and got another brand new one. EXACT SAME ISSUE. "Label Jam" and no cleaning tool.

The only issue I have so far is that after you type text, the only way to clear the display for your next label is to backspace. A “clear” function would be useful. Nitpicking I know, but seems like that would be a straightforward function to implement. Otherwise, I’m satisfied.

I absolutely cannot figure out how to find the eight text styles. Two of the menu items seem to be written in an alien language and I don't have a clue what it means, but English is the set language. The font size settings seem way out of whack because frequently my labels print with microscopic print even though I have it set at the highest font size. And it would be nice to have a sheet showing the clipart included, as well. Overall I think it will probably be a good basic label maker once I muddle through figuring out how to access some of the features. A simple instruction sheet included in the box is needed, and and it might prevent some silent cursing of the little machine because I really do want to put labels on all my files at work.

It's a step up from any other label maker I've used! I love to give my daughter notes, she loves to label school supplies, and I love to label all my beauty products and things in storage. The only thing I found complicated was filling the cartridge. It took me at least ten tries and I was doing it according to directions. Once I figured out how to get the cartridge in its super easy and fun to use! I received this from Smiley 360 at no charge, however opinion is 100% mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mediocre To whom it may concern, I’m going to share my experience with the DYMO 160, which I purchased from the local hardware store on a sale price of $15 on black Friday. First off, I did my research and this label maker received highly praised reviews as an entry level label maker. On amazon it obtained a 4+ average rating, which led me to choosing this label maker, plus the sale price my local hardware store advertised helped sway me to pull the trigger. At a glance it seemed to suit my needs. I’m restoring a vehicle and was in need of a label maker. I’m currently rewiring the factory engine harness and using the label maker to label circuits, gauges, plugs, sensors, etc. When I opened the box, I was severely dissatisfied that it did not include batteries or the optional AC adapter. Upon further inspection of the device I noticed the 9V port on the top and it made me think, “was there supposed to be a connecting device that I didn’t receive?” Shortly after I surveyed the box and noticed on the back of the packaging the last bullet it reads, “Powered by 6 AAA alkaline batteries (not included) or optional AC-adapter. This was a major annoyance, since I was read to begin using the label maker, after which I spent hours laying the diagram and wires ready to be labeled. So, on my way to the local drug store to buy batteries. During the drive the packing got me thinking, “it doesn’t make much sense to integrate an external adapter if the adapter isn’t included.” This is just poor advertising on the company’s part, in an attempt to make more of a profit at the customer’s expense and frustration. Anyways, now that the batteries and labels that were included were installed it was time to print, or so I thought. The label jammed 3 times, in which I had to adjust the rotating dial the spins the labels since it was jammed and not able to freely rotate. After the quick troubleshooting my first label was made. I will say the quality of the print on the label is very nice, and the two-part adhesive back allowed me to easily peel the label from the protective backing. I then put my first label on my set of wires. The label did not stick very well, it instantly began to lose its shape and adhesive properties. Upon further inspection I noticed the label obtained a yellowish color, similar to an effect of old paper. Since the labels were not sticking and I was beginning to get irritated I decided to just use scotch tape over the label and be done with it. The tape adhered with no issues, which leads me to the conclusion that the labels included with the label maker are old and worn, losing adhesion properties. Upon further inspection I noticed the label maker was manufactured in 2016. I really hope Dymo can do what is right and provide me with a new set of labels. In any event, I may just go with a different brand altogether. I hope this review helped to further future decision-making processes. Attached are some pictures describing my experiences with the adhesion failing to adhere.

They have jammed a good amount of options into this label maker while keeping use fairly intuitive. The link to the instruction manual should have been noted in or on the box: http://download.dymo.com/dymo/user-guides/LabelManager/LM160/LM160_UserGuide_en-US.pdf . The manual shows how to get as much as you want out of the label maker. For those who have found the cost of new tapes expensive, don't buy them from the office supply chains. The biggest online retailer sells them for about 50% less. I love that the tapes are made in Belgium.

This is one of the easiest to use and since the QWERTY keyboard was added, it makes things simple. Hint: pull a little tape out of the cartridge prior to loading and you should not have any tape jamming issues.

Now that I have this, I wonder how I managed to get along without it for so long. I was quite impressed with the craftsmanship of my Label Maker, with it having so many great features and benefits. It was quite easy to get started, with the easy to follow instructions included. From there, it was a breeze. It was just like using my computer and printer, with my DYMO Label Maker 160 performing with great accuracy, and paying attention to every detail and command given. After I was satisfied with the label I wanted, I simply used the cutting feature, and moved on to the next label. In no time, I was labeling and had my office, kitchen and other area's organized, and clearly labeled in a color coded fashion. My DYMO Label Maker also has a memory feature, just in case you are interrupted for some reason, so that when you return you can easily continue from where you left off. I am extremely satisfied with my DYMO Label Maker, and simply cannot imagine not having one in my office or home. It is a life saver!

This label maker came just in time for preparing my 4th grader for back to school! I found the LabelManager 160 very easy to use (I don't read instructions. I love the variety of font sizes available, and the many symbols and clipart pics available. My kit included both white and neon pink label tape. My teen daughter loves the neon! She had fun making a few labels for her own supplies. The size of the unit is great. It doesn't take up too much room, and is lightweight enough to carry it out if necessary. I can see this being used quite a lot at our Boy Scout events and meetings! A bonus is that it is battery operated - no need for chargers or cords. The price point is great - at $20 this is a tool that every mom should have! There are so many uses for this around the house and office. I am going to become an organizational queen!!!

I plan on getting an a/c adapter since I'm not sure how long the six AAA batteries will last inside.

I have used DYMO products in the past (at work, etc.) and have always been impressed with how easy to use they were and the quality. This label maker is no exception. Installing the cartridge and batteries was simple and I was ready to make labels within a few minutes. When I first pulled it out of the box, I was a little critical of the size; it seems bulky for someone with small hands, thankfully I do not have small hands! After playing with it for a bit and making a few labels, it didn't seem so bad, because the size made the keyboard large enough that there was no problem with hitting multiple keys in the quest for the letter I wanted. The menus are fairly intuitive and it didn't take long to familiarize myself and learn where different symbols were located. Previously, I had a label printer that connected to the computer. With that model, the first label would not come out clear and I would always have to reprint (not a huge deal, but annoying). With this product, that was not an issue. Every label came out perfect from the first to the last, even if I printed several in a short time. My kids (12 and 6) even enjoyed using this unit and of course it didn't take them long to figure out how to operate it. I have had this unit for almost 2 weeks and use it nearly daily to label file folders in the process of cleaning up my files at home and for work. I haven't had a label to jam or any other problem so far! If you need to make labels and need a handheld solution, this is a great choice. It is easy to set up and learn, has multiple options for formatting, and the labels are clear and neat. This is a high quality, inexpensive choice if you are looking for a handheld label maker!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this and have gone crazy labeling everything! I love this, as a matter of fact my entire family loves this and we argue over who gets to label what! I really enjoy how easy it is to work and that it includes little clipart style icons as well. The only problem I have had with it..(besides labeling my world) is that the actual labels have gotten stuck a couple times on the way out of print. For example I go to print and nothing comes out, then I open the easy back and see it is crumpled up. I just pull it out and go again but it still tends to catch here and there. Overall the Dymo Labelmanager is by far one of my favorite organizing tool, as a matter of fact it is my go to tool! It is very simple to work and is super fast, and I love all of the different colored labels I can buy to go with it. The actual cartridge is very easy to put in and even makes an electronic sound showing it is in right. The batteries are a few too many for my heart but I can understand it needs lots of power to use this awesome labelmanager. The battery compartment is very easy to access as well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, basic label maker, good bang for the buck As other reviews say, there is no very complex instructions. There is a 5 step process in a picture. But, that is how you use it. Turn on, type, choose some options, and print. Click the lever on the side and it cuts off. The adhesive does not seem sticky, but I have been sticking to pipes and electrical boxes with no problem. If it jams, then the cartridge you pop in does not have the tape fed below the two fingers. Prints are clear, and many options for font, symbols and clip art.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great portable labeler This labeler is perfect for office and household use for all sorts of projects - file folders, storage containers, shelves, and even the refrigerator. I do wish the packaging included an instruction manual, but I was able to find the instructions via the website so this wasn't a huge deal. All in all, a nice labeler at a good price. Definitely worth the investment to give your organizing projects a finishing touch and the label tape is typically more affordable than other brand's tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unsatisfied I regret to say that even though I received the DYMO label manager for free I really do not like it. It is easy to load and all but it sticks when trying to click for the lettering plus when I turned the dial that also did not want to turn. Some of the letters I was not able to read and I had to click a couple times to be able to cut the label once it was made. I tried both that I was sent and had the same issues with both of them. I am happy I got it free because I would have been very disappointed had I paid for it.

The directions were very clear on how to set it all up. It fits nicely in my hand even easy to type on. Changing the label cassette was a snap! I like that I can change the print from bold to italic, to underline. Makes label making fun and its easy to get organized with this! Excellent quality product!

The label would not print until I pulled out about a 1/4" from the cartridge and then inserted the cartridge. It prints fine now. It would be nice if there were a "clear" button so that you don't have to backspace out each label name before entering a new one.

Many words I was trying to make did not turn out because letters were not indenting. One letter great the next 2 can't see then the last few okay. I would prefer the electric print out one. I received this product for free for my review that is 100% mine.

The labeler itself is easy to use and the tape is easy to load. It's a lightweight device, so you could throw it in your purse and take it to work too!

I use it for everything, from labeling work items to knowing what's in the containers in the refrigerator! The kids have no problems finding leftovers now! I recommend this to everyone- believe me you will use it often! I never thought I had a need for one until I got it and now I don't know why I didn't get one sooner! I've re-seated the batteries. I even read the suggestion (on another 1 star review) to use the cleaning tool. Alas, there is no cleaning tool in my label maker. What a lousy product.

The labels have a great sticking background they last for a great amount of time.

If you can use a smart phone you should be able to figure this gadget out. It's a cool product and extremely easy to use. I used it for my tool boxes in my workshop and now I can find everything quickly and easily.

I have also found that it helps with labeling school supplies for my children and also things for storage. I finally feel like I have some sort of order in my life and more to come. I had to waste an hour on the website searching for the user guide and reading it on line. What a huge inconvenience. It was however, very helpful. I was able to locate and utilize all features successfully. No problems at all with the device.

My craft and tool rooms are now more organized, I don't have to open every drawer to find what I'm looking for! It's very easy to use and replacing the cartridge is a breeze. I love the label color options too, there's a wide variety to suit every need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for me so far Got one of these at Walmart yesterday for about half of MSRP. Took it home and looked for instructions. Found very sparse picture instructions on the product's glossy label. Got it to work though I am sort of a technophile. Supposed to be a bigger user guide available at DYMO.COM. One minor complaint is that it takes 6 (not 4 but 6 AAA batteries! Yikes! I hope they last a long time as it could get expensive to feed it power.

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a slight obsession with labeling EVERYTHING! When I was given the opportunity to test this out I was ecstatic! The day it arrived I put it to use & was making labels for things all over my house. I fell in love instantly. I love love love how easy it is to use. My favorite feature is the cutting feature on the side. I have used label makers before & I had the biggest trouble cutting the labels. With this label maker the labels come out so neat & perfect every single time!! LOVE that so much!! I also really really like how lightweight & compact it is that makes it super easy to take along wherever you go! This is the best label maker I have ever used. I highly recommend it!!

You must go to Dymo.com for simple, clear instructions you can view & print on the use of this product. It will quickly resolve all your questions on setup, usage, features & operation. The labelmaker will be easy to use after that. I'm sure the reviews would have been mostly 5 star, if full instructions had been included in the packaging. I like the easy to use, two-line printing feature. It saves space and label tape by printing a line above and another below within the same space.

It would be better to be recessed or have a raised protective guard around it, to try to prevent accidental poering on while being carried in a briefcase or similar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work brand new out of box. Doesn't work out of box brand new. Tried two sizes (1/2 inch that it comes with and 1/4 inch). Half inch jammed immediately which broke the tape. 1/4th inch doesn't print at all. Also: Brand new batteries. Labeler already says I'm low battery after the first attempt at printing. I understand this will eat up batteries but come on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and fun labeler to use! I received this Label Manger for free to test and give my opinion about from Smiley360. This is such an easy to use label product! The label Manger is easy to turn on, type in what I want to print a label for, and hit the print button. The keys are easy to hit, and the handheld device is self explanatory. I can make my words that print out bold or italicized, and I can underline or change the letters to be small or big. It is really simplistic and handy to have. It does take several batteries to power it, six tripple A batteries, which I think can be improved upon. The cost of the cartridges doesn't seem to be all that steep, and for the amount of labeling I do, it doesn't bother me to need to buy special cartridges for it. I like the fact that when I need to label folders, boxes, kids toys, or pretty much anything it will be done neatly. the sticker prints out for me which keeps me from having to have both a pen and sticky notes handy. These also stick very well. If I used a sticky note, they may lose stickiness over time, and fall off. There are also things I don't want to write on with marker so this gives me the opportunity to be able to remove my labels. Overall a very easy to use, and fun item to have on hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Three Defective Units in One Day I purchased THREE of these in one day and all were defective. Either the Label was jammed or it wouldn't recognize the cartridge. All were new, in the box. Looks like it would have been a nice product but when all three have to be exchanged/returned, I wouldn't recommend purchasing one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great labeler This is an extremely easy device to use. You really do not need a manual. You open the package, insert batteries (6 AAA), drop in a tape cartridge, and you turn it on. I have tried various cartridges (which are a little pricey) and have had great print quality and no jamming. It's a very nice design with soft rubber keys - feels like quality. As most refillable products, they are going to make their money on the consumables.
