I can buy a new printer for the price of 2 cartridges and get a ream of paper to go with it. Refilled units don't work either. A bottle of good ink is only $8.00 and could fill 3 cartridges.

I used to purchase the single regular cartridge every 3 weeks at ~$18 a pop excluding tax. I decided to try the high-yield out and boy was it worth it! It's my 16th week of use for 1 cartridge and only now getting the "low ink" notification. So I got the mileage for less than half the money I'd have spent on the regular cartridge. Awesome! This last cartridge did not run anything close to 600 copies as it says it does. A ream of paper has 500 pages and I didn't know use anything close to 500 pages. I purchased the 62 XL hoping to get more, but after 60 sheets, the printer said I was low on ink. I am not sure if it is the printer or the ink. I do a lot of printing and need something more high volume. My previous HP printer, which finally gave up after 15 years and used the 90 series ink, gave me well over 300 sheets per cartridge. I have always used HP products, even my laptop and desktop are HP, and I am not sure where to turn.

I work from home and do a lot of printing so I need an ink cartridge that lasts so that I don't run out of ink in the middle of a project. The HP62XL black cartridge last much longer than the regular size ink cartridge. Since I have started ordering it, I will never go back to the regular size ink cartridge. It may cost a little more but it lasts so much longer. Really worth it. Glad someone came up with a larger ink cartridge. Thanks HP!

However, when I received the cartridge and put it in my printer, my printer would not print. I got the message on my printer that this was not an authentic HP cartridge. In my frustration, I rushed out to the nearest Best Buy and purchased another 62XL cartridge. After putting this cartridge in my printer, my printer begin to print. I will NEVER order another ink cartridge from HP.com. From this point forward, I will continue to rush right out to my nearest Best Buy.

Installed into printer and continued to receive out of ink message on display. Turned off printer, turned on printer, same results. Went to HP support followed suggested procedure, still did not work. Got in car, went to office supply store got same cartridge placed in printer and it is working fine. I have a full HP62XL printer that is a DUD and am out $39+.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a 600 page project took 7 BLACK XL cartridges. the estimate that HP gives on XL black ink cartridges is approx 600 pages per cartridge. mu project was approx 600 pages. i went through 7. this project cost me more than i could have ever dreamt of spending - that much $$$ could have gotten me a more INK USE EFFECTIVE printer. i will be lookng for another printer - with lower ink costs. $100's of dollars for this project - that was really more than i could/can afford. the Envy 5660 printer east up ink faster than any printer i have every had. i will also be posting the horrendous amount of ink needed to finish this project on Amazon.

HP cartridges are reliable and easy to install. I only purchased the XL High Yield cartridges because of the extra value for the price. I also really like the fact that my printer software is linked directly to the HP site so I when I need replacement cartridges I don't have to enter the cartridge or printer information, the website goes right to the product I need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great All the cartridges that I bought from HP work well but they are very expensive I bought my last cartridge last month and my new 62XL cartridge is still sitting on my old printer I replaced my HP printer with a tank style printer. Tag printer works well the color is not as good as the HP but almost and I'm satisfied. HP makes a good printer but if you're sick of replacing cartridges you can buy a tank printer.

I wish these were covered longer than 30 days. I buy ink when I put the last one I have on hand in the printer so that I have a back up, and this time, the back-up one was defective. It has not been used that much and tonite it printed one full sheet, 1/2 of one sheet and nothing on the third sheet. They have always lasted much longer than less than a month.

Apparently they sold the new printer with low ink. But I used the feature to select which ink. I ordered it, it arrived when it said it would. However, there is an error message now, it won't print, it won't tell my why beyond there is a problem with the cartridge. So I bought a new printer to print this thing, now I've bought new ink to print this thing, but it's stopped halfway through and I still haven't printed the thing.

The blackest possible of better and HP ink delivers for HP printers. Cheaper substitutes are tempting but could be more costly in the long run when they mess up your printing and printer.

T his is just a printer for our house. Looked up the date and purchased it in March and it is now the beginning of September. There is absolutely no way I’ve printed 600 pages since on average I probably print 1-2 things a week. I don’t want to spend the money again. Disappointed.

I expected longer ship times, higher prices, and an overall slow process. That was NOT the case! Not only did the ink come in less than 3 days, but I was given a follow-up coupon for future purchases immediately after (Amazon certainly won't do that). You've got me, HP. Doesn't matter if you buy the regular or XL, it's still the same size cartridge with either a small amount of ink or a very small amount of ink.

Maybe down the road when they run out I will be like "hey, those didn't last long at all!" or maybe I will be like "hey, those HY cartridges lasted WAY longer than the regular ones, nothing but HY from here on!". A waste of packaging and no notice or packing slip in either package. I’m all for less paper, so get efficient and ship two in one envelope! And either email a notice or slip it in the package.

There are alternative sources of ink, but trying one is putting the quality of the print at risk, so we keep returning to HP. I installed the cartridge and started copying. I made approximately 50 copies and the cartridge "low ink" notice appeared. Printed pages are printing lighter than standard, which is not great for business purposes. The quality of this cartridge has definitely gone downhill. Calling it a "high yield" cartridge is false advertising.

Plus I made the mistake of tearing open the package on one of them so I wouldn't be able to return that one anyway. What a mess. Then when I went to the HP website to see if I could find a way to send at least the one I could return, it turned out that I was instructed to call and speak with a customer service representative M-F. But I leave Europe tomorrow morning too early to make that call. I guess I'll ask among my friends to see if anyone needs the 62XL cartridges. This has been a nightmare from start to finish.

If I put the old cartridge back in the lights go out and it prints but there’s nothing on the paper because it’s out of ink. So now it have to buy another $60 cartridge in order to use my printer. Very disappointed in a standard hp 62 that i placed 2 weeks ago. Out of ink in appx 50 pages or less!. I recycled the cartridge to have, but wished I would have sent it back with a complaint..... hopefully just 1 bad cartridge.

However we seem to have lost our vip discount with the addition of instant ink. not all of us print enough to use instant ink. so those of us who have used HP ink for years now have to pay the big price for the product we need. it is almost like companies do not care about the long term customer.

I had chosen what i wanted and filled the "cart" but there was no prompter "proceed to check out" to click on like most other web sites have. I ended up having to call my order in. That person informed me that way up on the right there is a tiny miniscule shopping cart to click on. This was way out on the far corner of the page. I was told i wasn't the only person having a problem with this. Please be more user friendly in the future.

This ink worked for a few hours and then the printer wouldn’t stop having an error message. We tried everything. I don’t know if it’s possible, but it seems like the ink killed the printer. Had to order a new printer after a week of troubleshooting and 100$ worth of wasted ink.

I have ordered for years online and this time it was nothing but difficult.I tried to call the order, but your phone system made that entirely impossible. I tried the virtual assistant- what a joke. Never dealt with a virtual assistant that I couldn't just write my problem and get an answer. Finally got it to go through the 2nd day. Then I only got the black when I had ordered both. No notification that it would be shipped separately a few days apart. Again I tried to call to question=- again- why publish a phone number if you can't get anywhere to get resolution.Not all people have a problem that matches your stock questions that you can't get past. I get it- many are working from home, but I deal with many other companies where they are working from home and they are competent. As I said, I have ordered from you for years and if the next experience is anything like this one, I will be looking for an alternate source. NO I will not go to Walmart!!!!! Very disappointing experience with much time wasted to complete what should have been a simple order

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HELP FIX MY ERROR MESSAGE HP's termination of Instant Ink caused me to use this cartridge. Now, when I try to print, I get an error message "connect printer to update HP Instant Ink status. Several techs from HP and from Instant Ink have not been able to correct.

They almost give you the printer but then you pay and pay and pay. All in all the HP envy printer and the ink are great products, easy to use, reliable.
