When I tried to source replacements from two local vendors, they were both out of stock. What's a girl to do? I remembered seeing HP ads online suggesting ordering direct from HP and decided to try it. My order was filled immediately and my package at my door in no time... ie. within a day. Crisis averted!!

I am very disappointed, and upset that I spent so much money on so little ink! It did not last as many pages as it was supposed to.

After printing just less than 80 pages, my printer is telling me that I’m low on Black Ink! Really? Its got to be a flook... but just my Luck. If it’s ever going to happen... I always buy HP cartridges so when I replaced my black, I was amazed at the notification that the cartridge was NOT COMPATIBLE. I re-inserted the cartridge numerous times with the same result. I had ordered new color and black cartridges and used one of the blacks. It was fine. I am not sure what occurred with the other one, but $30.00 is a lot to pay for something that does NOT work.

The printer will not read them and keeps asking me to reinstall them, refuses to work, but when I put in the old (empty) cartridges it is perfectly happy. The first one went onto an old printer and so I thought it was the printer itself. But this one was for my 1-yr-old printer. There's no yellow! My orange comes out red. And when I try to print yellow highlight it comes out dashed with red/orange....again no yellow. Hmmm...somewhat discouraged at this new unexpected development with HP.

Previously I would buy HP cartridges from "Big Box" stores and, if they sat in my desk for a longer than average length of time, they would not perform as wall as I desired (due to partially frying out?). Now, I buy my HP cartridges directly from HP, sometimes pay less -but never more - and have NOT had a problem with their performance - no matter how long I keep them before use! I truly recommend them to anyone who buys more than 1 or 2 single cartridges at a time!

I figured I would purchase this XL because I knew I had a lot of pages to print in the future and my old cartridge did not last very long. In the process of replacing the cartridge I discovered that the old cartridge was also an XL but unfortunately it printed less than 40 pages. I am hoping this new cartridge has made some improvements.

However, when I installed it I got the error message: "indicated cartridges are not for use in this printer." The printer worked fine with the previous two basic 63 cartridge (the second one has run dry), and the two versions look identical. However, the printer rejects the cartridge. No matter how good the cartridge may be, if it will not work when installed it is useless. It appears I am out $33, because I cannot take back the cartridge and opened box to the store.

I bought the wrong dang cartridges, and didn't find out why they weren't working until I'd opened two of them! I purchased cartridges marked "63" because my printer shows up with that number in my printing center... but once I looked inside the physical printer, I discovered that I needed "61" cartridges. Extra confusing because they're the same form factor. Why not make more universal cartridges, if the form factor is the same? I'm really bummed about this big waste of money.

My first HP cartridge lasted me a year, and I bought some cheap one on amazon with good reviews it lasted maybe 20 pages, so I ordered the HP one from the app and realized I shouldn’t have bothered with cheaper alternatives. I’d rather pay for a product that just works.

They'll work the first few uses and then start throwing incompatibility errors. My aunt has the same errors when she uses them as well.

The ink came quickly and I've always been pleased that - to my knowledge - this is a company who seems to try to keep things environmentally friendly. The packaging is minimal- and mostly cardboard, so recyclable, and they included a bag for an easy way for you to return the old cartridges to be recycled just by sticking it in the mailbox. Ink as a whole for all companies is incredibly way too expensive and HP is no different. The regular 63 did not last me long, so I'm hoping I will get more bang for my buck from the 63xl. I think traditionally in the past I have. I also believe HP is a USA based company.

You get the same excellent ink and service, just a larger amount of ink so you have less chance of running out unexpectedly. It's the only ink I buy for my HP printer.

Sometimes the delivery is delayed (for instance if delivery is on a Saturday, and no one is in the office), but I have learned to adjust by ordering in a more timely manner. Printer is fine, I like features - except the touchscreen inexplicably goes dark about 2x p/day; need to unplug or turn off printer & reboot to get the screen back. What a pain! And the paper jams constantly. But, the big problem: I now have a printer than I can't afford to print on! I have spent more on ink in 1 month than the entire cost of the printer! I find that EXPENSIVE black ink cartridges (HP63) last ONLY 2 to 2-1/2 DAYS of printing! SUPER-EXPENSIVE HP63XL cartridges last ONLY 5 DAYS! There is NO WAY that I print 380-480 pages every month! I already print on the 'draft' setting. I don't print photos - though I wish I could...I have photo printing paper, but I now see it will be prohibitive to afford ink if I print photos, it's more cost effective to have them printed at a photo shop. I am unemployed/job hunting & on limited income - I CANNOT AFFORD $160 every month for ink alone! I wish I had know this before purchasing.... I would NOT have bought this HP printer!

I could have driven 10 min away and had the product the same day. If you promise something you must deliver. It creates a functional problem when the printer is down. I own a small business. The ink cartridge required is not clear from the materials provided, and apparently the printer is not a standard model as my on-line supplier couldn't find it, and your own customer service people took more than 5 minutes to locate it.

When you came out with Printers, I had one and have had several for the company I was working for as highway designer. My current printer is an HP Envy 4520 and its doing very well. I have my print settings adjusted to black and white and on draft, and i find myself purchasing a new cartridge every month. I still have the same pack of printing paper that i purchased in August, which was an HP 750 sheet pack. I don't just use the paper for print jobseither and it looks like i still have about half a pack remaining of paper. It's not adding up at all. I might reah out to consumer affairs come to think of it. These guys are getting rich! They know that we have no real way of measuring how much ink is truly in those cartridges!

I have an older and newer model of printers, the older model uses HP28 and HP56 ink, while the newer model uses an HP63. HP is the only supplier of the older model ink. I had to order a new black cartridge and 1. I was impress with the speed of delivery and 2. I've been really pleased with how long the cartridge has lasted. I miss my laser printer at work, but I've found both my OfficeJet and the cartridges to be a solid, effective, and relatively inexpensive alternative at home.

It didn't even print 160 pages. Quite soon after printing the color turned brown and a short time after that the printer said it was low on ink and to put in another cartridge. I was really disappointed after paying the higher price. I guess it was just a fluke, but I still didn't get my money's worth.

To restate the old safety razor joke, "They give away the razors, and make up the profit on the blades." The Envy printer works well, the best printer I have ever owned.

Recently I had a project and needed to do a lot of printing so I purchased new ink cartridges. The color cartridge lasted for 12 pages. When it ran out, I switched to black only printing. As I printed a few more pages they got progressively more pink! They got so pink, I couldn’t read the typed words. I’m pretty much computer dumb, but when you select black, why would you get pink? So for $73 I was able to print 12 good pages! I returned my HP printer to Costco, but not before calling HP customer service. They were no help at all.

I tried another seller once because it was cheaper I thought. But they were refurbished HP cartridges and they did not last as long as promised, so it was more expensive and once they didn't even work when I installed them. So back to the HP online store to never experiment with others again. I also always order the high yield XL cartridges because they definitely last longer. I have also an HP printer and computer. HP is my brand because of the high quality and the online store is so convenient and if you sign up for an account you get discounts, too. I am a loyal and satisfied customer.

Plus the quality of the print that is produced is jumbled and smudged. All very confusing because the exact number of the cartridge is stamped on the printer and we have been using the same cartridges since the printer was installed.

This is the 2nd time I've made this mistake so now I have printed a stick-um on the front stating "65XL only!" Thank GOD I had one correct cartridge on hand to use. Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOT an XL cartridge. I am very disappointed with the XL part of this cartridge. I printed out less than 250 pages in draft mode and got a “low ink” warning. I purchased these cartridges from HP direct after having bought some on Amazon with the low output problem. I thought by paying a bit more I would get authentic HP cartridges which used to last, easily, twice as long. I have had HP printers since the 1980s but it seems taking a digital file to Staples for printing is the way to go…or buying an Epson or Canon printer.
