The absolute slowest, most unreliable not user friendly device of the last 20 years.
This Probably the worst Printing device I have ever interacted with. It jams about 1 out 2 times. Either the head or cutter will just crunch the paper. I'm only here to get the reviews to convince my company to replace this trash. Prior all companies I worked at used Canon. My last job I would print Structural

Our VAR is working on delivery and setup of the plotter. This unit is to replace a troublesome T2530 that never really worked, even after multiple HDD and motherboard replacements under warranty and after warranty. Continuously jams
We have had this plotter for approximately 1 year, but it was not used much right away. Now that we are using it more, we find that the paper jams in it constantly. If I had to guess, I'd say it jams on about 1 out of every 4 full-size plots. We have had the tech come out to fix it, but it's still jamming.

HP Design Jet T2600dr Plotter
The new upgrades to this plotter are great. I like the screen for touch screen entries. Had to really search for the Mac address when setting it up. Didn't realize you can double click on a lot of options and menus will drop down. Also like that you can load both rolls from the front. Its more compact in size

Firmware errors and Smart Tracker issues
We purchased the printer from our local dealer, first off we waited almost a month after delivery of the printer to have the Smart Tracker software available, and now we are only using a trial license! We've had issues with the paper feed that resulted in a tech having to come out who blamed it on the setup (pe

We got the Designjet T2600DR and had trouble right out of the box. The manditory Firmware did not work so HP overnighted a replacement Firmware. After we got the machine to come to ready, we had trouble using the provided Print Drivers and had to get HP to help find a good alternative. Now the Scanning is not w

My last job I would print Structural drawings for up to 4 hours a day running 2 Canon Plotters all Sizes even E Arch oversize no exaggeration I was always impressed by them. One of those Canon plotters used is worth 10 of these. In every SINGLE aspect this HP is inferior, except maybe DPI they are the same.

This unit is to replace a troublesome T2530 that never really worked, even after multiple HDD and motherboard replacements under warranty and after warranty. Delivery by the local distribution company was great. During initial setup by the VAR's technician, we discovered there were mechanical issues with the unit and needed replacement. The replacement unit was setup the next day. Please note that these units are delivered with enough ink to prime the system. A full set of ink cartridges should be ordered, along with the plotter. About a $500 additional expense to budget for (a 1-2 star deduction for performance). Follow up review on features and performance pending after plotting and scanning tests. This is the 4th HP plotter purchased, dating back to the mid 1990s. We are fans of HP and hope this new unit delivers 5 star rating in the next phase of the review.

We've had issues with the paper feed that resulted in a tech having to come out who blamed it on the setup (performed by the dealer), we've had a firmware error come up and the dealer just told us to reboot the printer to solve, and the Smart Tracker software is so slow to come up (> 1 minute) after selecting print it is almost unusable. Would not recommend until all the bugs have been corrected!
