What a disappointment!!
How could I possibly review cables for a laptop that had to be set aside and go back to using my old one because I can't get the support I need, even though I paid for a 5 year contract.

I have tested using this cable with a couple different computers and VGA HD monitors. The cable comes in a zip lock bag similar to other cables (i.e. Ethernet cables). Simple, just plug it in and it works. Great resolution, high quality cable and I love how I don't need to purchase both a Displayport to VGA adapter and also a 6ft VGA-VGA cable anymore. This saves money and simplifies the connection

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Possible Shielding Issues Installed New computer and installed two of these cables for two monitor setup. One is working properly, the other gave me hours of fits. If you touched anything on the desk that it was sitting on, including the desk itself the monitor would go black. If you printed something the monitor would go black. Replaced this cable and all working will now. What a huge pain to find out it was a new cable causing my issue.

This unit has Active DisplayPort to VGA conversion, Plug-and-Play Installation and Supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA) and HDTV resolutions up to 1080p. The unit installs quickly with no additional drivers or software required, and is compatible with a variety of operating systems, which I tested. What is Included: 1- DisplayPort to VGA Adapter Converter Cable - 6-Feet in length Note: “I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.”

The DisplayPort end connects well, locks into place for a secure fit and is easily released with button the side. The VGA end of the cable is about twice as long than a standard VGA cable end but doesn't get in the way with the monitors I have tested. When I connected the cable to my computers they immediately detected the monitors and started working almost instantly. I have used this cable with a docking station while connecting and re-connecting without any issues. Also long term use with a computer also had no problems. Video always looked good without any flickering or interference. This cable works well as advertised and is made of quality materials. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.
