Replaced some older units that were having re-occuring issues (not Tripp Lite) with these TrippLite units, I have had these units installed for a few years now and just did some PM work only to replace batteries for PM. Easy to swap the batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid UPS, Awkward Weight DistributionWe have been utilizing this unit for 5 months now, and the device has functioned flawlessly. We use it simply for a single Switch and TWC Fiber Channel Box. Installation however, was an extremely tedious task. Since we have an elevated rack, the device being very heavy for its size, needed two people. And because this device is shorter in comparison to other UPS's, it did not reach the back two mounts to screw in, so currently is is putting a great amount of stress on the front two parts of the mount (which in itself was an extreme challenge to just mount onto thanks again to its weight). With the way it sits now our main concern is that the screws will eventually give way and start to bend, meaning the eventual removal of the device will be another big venture. But we trust with the Tripplite brand that will not be for a long time. Overall we would recommend the device, but be warned you should plan out if the task will be a two man job, and if the rack can handle the weight on one side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent product, but way too loud!The UPS works as designed, but in our environment the fan runs on high RPM's all day and night. It is on a rare occasion when the fan will run on a lower rpm. There is no way to control this from the system or CLI. And it is way too loud and annoying for a small office with a rack in the corner of the space. So, 5 stars for the UPS function, and 0 stars for the lack of fan control in the software and the noise the fan makes. I only recommend this to a friend when the UPS is in a server closet, server room or data center, where the noise is behind closed doors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchase warranty and keep them cleanPurchased 5 of these units as backups for closest on generator feeds. The main purpose is to keep our servers and switches running until generator power is established. (1-3min large diesel generator) I had one unit go bad due to the fan getting clogged with dust. When the unit detects that the fan speed is lower than a preset threshold the unit shut down so it doesn't over heat. Support stepped me through and replaced my unit due to this fan issue. Either than that, we are on our third year on these and they are working great. We have had multiple power outages(Penelec) to test the units and maintained all servers and switches during the outages without any issues.
